My positive experience started with my initial contact with Miss Angie. She let me know that they are a family owned business that takes pride in taking care of their customers. I have moved several times, but never out of state. Also, I was moving while Covid was still rampant. I had no idea what to expect, so I had so many questions. Miss Angie set up a video call so I could "walk her through my home." A couple of days later she gave me an estimate and didn't seem bothered by answering my countless questions. I appreciate it that they had several options, depending on how much help I needed for the move. On the day of the move, I met Alex, who assured me this would be a seamless process and he would personally make sure all of my belongings made it to my new home in TX. Sure enough, a few days later, Alex was the one pulling the semi truck up to my new home and organizing the activities of the move-in crew. He even gave some suggestions on where furniture should go. From beginning to end, the customer service was top-notch and I definitely feel like the money was well worth it. I don't plan to move again anytime soon; but if I do, I will be sure to call Stevenson.

And when I tried to call the Chicago number, I was on a perpetual hold and never spoke to an actual person. The only way I was able to get ahold of anyone was to submit a request for another quote on their website. I then received a call within seconds. Even then, it was a general office and they couldn't process the cancellation or get ahold of someone from the Chicago branch. It took 3 more phone calls before I could finally get on the phone with someone who could process my request because someone was kind enough to give me the national office number and within 5 minutes, I was able to cancel my move. (Shoutout to Chris and the number for the national office is 469-461-5000) I can't imagine what it would have been like if I actually needed to go through the steps of moving when their customer service was this bad and they are so hard to reach. You are better off going with someone else.

I gave a detailed inventory to two different employees. I stressed the amount of furniture and put all books, CDs and other non fragile items in boxes BEFORE the move day. Their estimator quoted, as per their website, 4 men, 1 truck, less than 7 hours total. It took 2 days, 3 truck loads and on first day they asked if we could pack more stuff ourselves to help! What happened to full pack? On the second day, no one seemed interested and TWICE I was told that house was empty. On checking I found multiple items lying around, mirr still on walls and every time I unpack another box I find something broken. The last few boxes just had stuff inside loose with no attempt to pack or protect.

Just had new movers move stuff out of unit into the house, and they as well were appalled at how it was packed. Ed Copher provided great packing tips and offered insight into how Copher Moving would take apart/wrap our furniture to protect it in transit. The Wheaton driver and loading teams on both ends were FANTASTIC. They were professional, efficient, on-time and very easy to work with. Jamie Copher, who manages the delivery schedule and payment was extremely responsive. We had a minor hiccup just before our scheduled pickup but Ed/Jamie and team helped get that resolved with Wheaton and made sure to follow up with us. I highly recommend Copher Moving. They called and confirmed they'd be there the day before. The day of I called them at 11:15 and was told their drivers broke down and the manager was going to pick them up and they would be there in 1 hour. At 130 I called back to see if they were still coming. Then I was told that the drivers were actually in a car accident and one hurt himself pretty bad. They asked if they could reschedule for the next morning. I was very understanding and said no problem. He said he would call me first thing. At 11 am the next day I tried texting and calling and no answer. They completely left me hanging. Horrible way to do business. Be honest and just say you can't make it.
