Today was that wonderful day when you move from one location to the other. Moving mountains of…read moreboxes, lifting furniture that weighs a ton... all of that may sound fun to some people but not to me. I decided to be a lazy person and hire some movers to make things much easier. After talking to Philip, my day was set for doomsday aka moving day They showed up and cleared the house promptly. Even as the weather went from low 70s to low 90s, all of them did not slow down one bit. Overall I am very happy with the service I received and will gladly recommend them to anyone moving.

He was throwing people's (mine and my boyfriend's) first and last names and our addresses out there for the world to see. Would not recommend, especially if you're female. I'm honestly afraid for the females that hire this man. Please be careful ladies. He literally looked my name up on Facebook, and googled my information and called and texted me. How creepy. If you're a woman, use a different moving service. I would never trust someone this creepy with my home address or any personal information!! This 100000% pertains to him as a business because as a MOVING company you are not allowed to share people's personal, sensitive information. Aka... their home address. Someone that has no respect for a person's privacy with their home address will never get my business and it most certainly won't get them a good review. I don't even need to prove this because in the comments section he was posting my personal information like who I'm dating and my home address. He edited it thank God but still! How creepy!!!! Who does that??? What business owner does that???

I wanted to support a local, veteran-owned business, but this experience was a costly mistake. Do…read moreyour homework and read the reviews before hiring this company. When I first called, I spoke with Griffin at the New Lenox location. We hired them specifically to load furniture and boxes into a POD, not a full move. Griffin promised the movers would arrive with a truck stocked with supplies: blankets, shrink wrap, and straps to protect our furniture. This was confirmed in our written quote. I mentioned I was going to buy a mattress bag, and he convinced me to purchase theirs instead, assuring me it would be added to our bill. The movers showed up in a car. No truck. No blankets. No straps. And no mattress bag. When we asked, the movers told us they couldn't bring a truck because none of them are insured to drive the company vehicles; they added that the owner doesn't maintain the fleet, leaving many trucks out of service. It was raining the entire time; unlike other movers we've used, they did not bring floor protection or shoe covers. One mover disclosed that he was summer help, had only been working three weeks, and had received zero training. My husband spent much of the move directing the movers on how to carry items safely - to save their backs. We also had to supply our own shrink wrap when their roll became too tangled to use, and repeatedly had to ask them to wrap furniture before moving it, but pieces were still being moved without any protection. The results speak for themselves. A leather loveseat was dragged across the wood and iron railing on our staircase, leaving scratches across the surface. The movers put multiple dents, scratches, and marks on our walls and broke a wood trim piece on the railing. One mover did bring the damage to my attention. Now we are required to repaint walls that didn't need painting before we can complete our move-out. During the job, one mover dropped his end of our heavy couch -- no stairs, just a doorway, roughly 15 feet -- said "f**k this, I'm not doing this," and walked away, leaving part of it in the rain. My 66-year-old husband had to pick up the end and help move it himself. Inside the POD, movers were stacking large bins on top of small ones, creating a wobbling stack that would certainly have toppled when the POD was transported. My husband and I rearranged them ourselves. The most costly damage involved our garage door. During the move, the support bar across the top was dented and part of the door opener mechanism was pulled backward. When asked what happened, the movers claimed to be unaware of hitting anything - yet now our door will not close. One mover eventually acknowledged they may have hit it, took photos, and called Griffin, assuring us we would hear from someone to resolve it. We never received a call. When we followed up with the owner, he asked if we could prove they hit the door. In the end we incurred a $350 repair bill. To top it all off, our credit card was charged twice. When we called (four days after the second charge), they claimed one was simply a hold, but both charges were clearly posted to our account. The additional charge has since been reversed. Check your accounts carefully after using this company. The owner has responded to other negative reviews claiming they "do a thorough walk-through with every client." No walk-through was done at our home. We didn't discover the full extent of the damage until after they left, and we are dreading what else we will find when we unload our POD. We paid full price for a service that was misrepresented from the first phone call, carried out by untrained workers with no proper equipment, and resulted in hundreds of dollars in damage and repairs, with zero accountability. The movers themselves were polite and apologetic, and frequently blamed the company. That tells you everything. This company is disorganized, unprepared, and management is dishonest. Find someone else. (photos are just a few of the many)
