Happy happy joy joy!!! This was a fun venue for our niece's birthday! Lots of her friends and their parents showed up, as well as family so it was a festive day! We took off our shoes at the entrance and put them in the cubby holes provided. Then we entered the fun zone. The bouncy houses were put to good use, and the kids had a blast. There was a huge relaxing massage chair for the older family members, and they made good use of it. We brought the food in, and had snacks for the kids as well as a custom birthday cake in the shape of the Mercat Gabby, evidently a kiddy favorite right now! Went here for my granddaughter's 4th birthday party. It's a large site with multiple areas (depending on age) and separate rooms for parties. A great time was had by all the kids! Located on El Camino, in downtown Atascadero, is Hop's Bounce House. We went here for our family friend's son Bday. You check in, put shoes in a cubby, and let the kids go wild. They had six big bounce/slide setups and 3 for really small children. My daughter loved it. They have a party room with 5 tables. Everything was clean. The couches by the bounce setups were clean. Great spot for your kiddos! Super affordable and really nice owners. Drawback is if you get there later, the comfortable couches are taken by others so you kinda fend for yourself on fold out chairs which you can expect to be there 1+ hour so consider that with a foldout chair. We did a break and walked around the corner to have lunch then returned- which, you can do! You have an all day pass. We probably used 1.5 hours out of the day. I have been dropping by with my daughter occasionally for a couple years and attended a couple birthday parties hosted by Hops. My 6 year old LOVES it, she always makes friends and now my 1 year old does as well. They can spend all day and still be sad when it closes! The seating is great for parents because they have super comfy couches! This really makes the experience a whole lot more enjoyable for the adults who are observing. Socks are mandatory so I'd recommend planning ahead but if not Hops sell socks at a reasonable price! Recently they added a few items to play with! Like the caterpillar tunnel and climber in the 3 and under area which is such a big hit! When it's busy there can be bigger kids who get a bit too rowdy and some parents who aren't paying attention but if you're observing your kid this shouldn't be too big of a deal because you can monitor and intervene if necessary! Hops has one day admission prices but I think the memberships are so worth it or punch cards, there's tons of different options to choose from depending on your families needs! I had never actually interacted much with David or his wife whom I haven't gotten her name yet (the owners); this last time I did chat with David he's a really nice guy and Shelby (She's an employee) is kind as well! I saw on Facebook that Hops hosted a school supplies drive and gave out backpacks and other necessities to students in the community for free! How can you not want to support a business who goes above and beyond for the children who are at the center of their business! All LOVE here. This place is a gem in the heart of Atascadero. I came with my six year old and one year old, they both enjoyed every minute that they were there. For starters, they have a toddler area which I really appreciated so that my one year old could have a safe area to play in with age appropriate jumpers. The whole facility is well kept and clean including the jump houses. There are many signs around that clearly list the rules and expectations for both kids and adults. There is a small arcade area, vending machines and many choices for seating. I also love that they have security cameras and that they closely monitor the play areas from the front desk. The only suggestion I have is adding a recycling bin, other than that this place is an awesome place to visit with your kiddos! read more

I recently visited Hop's for the first time with my 4 grandsons and a few friends. Ages 1-11years old. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a stinky, noisy, dirty, chaotic place, but instead found a clean safe fun environment for all ages. Safety and cleanliness is a main priority. The toddler area was so well thought out. Even though my little guy isn't walking yet, there was plenty of things for him to explore. The owners are very kind and always watching to make sure everyone is safe and having a good time. There is plenty of adult seating for parents and grandparents. Can't say enough about his place. It's over 100 degrees the past two weeks! This place is indoors and you can't wear your shoes past the gate so it is super clean. Huge play are with bounce houses to wear your kids out and a little under 3 area for your little bouncers with toys and chalk! The whole place is nice and cool so the kids are not super sweaty and they have really nice couches through out the place for parents. They encourage parents to jump with kids so the bouncy houses are adult friendly! There is free WiFi it is common to see people working from here while their kids play. Since my initial review we got a membership and spend 3 to 4 hours a week here. I am partly WFH and with free WiFi I am able to work while my kiddos play! We LOVE this place!! The staff is so good with the kiddos and you can tell they really love what they do. (Big shout out to my boy's bestie Karly!) They have created an awesome space for all ages (and they've thought of everything...even slippers you can wear into the restroom!) Hop's is great! We had a pass all summer and enjoyed it so much. We hosted my little guys 4 year old birthday party there last weekend. I knew it would be fun, but it was a total blast! Hops was super easy to work with and super helpful. Their prices are reasonable too which keeps me coming back. The party room is perfect size and cute and super clean like their whole facility is. I love that they even had a huge cart to carry everything out on. I would totally do another party here in a minute. So nice to NOT have to host another party or event at my own house. We went in yesterday and stayed for a little over three hours. It was clean, bright and had lots for my five year old son to enjoy. He was having so much fun that he didn't want to leave! I happen to walk in on grand opening day and got a nice little trial. This is a large indoor area with 7 bounce houses including mazes and slides and ball pits. They have a lot of seating so you can sit around while your child(ren) bounce and play. There are also 3 large Tv's for those who enjoy sports. I think it is slightly pricey, but it is also nice to have something in town for kids. I'm not sure yet if the membership is worth it, so I'll see how often I end up here. I do think it's worth it if your child(ren) LOVE bounce houses. read more

I took my 5 yr old here for the first time as a guest to birthday party. I was impressed at the size and cleanliness of a place dedicated to kids! The staff was very organized and helpful and also VERY attentive to all the kids in the building. The owner (I'm guessing) was routinely walking around making sure kids were following the rules. That was reassuring to me as a parent that it wasn't treated as a "free for all" since when kids get excited, they can get a little crazy. There are plenty of different bounce house options to choose from for the kids so they won't get bored. I especially like the sofa features for the adults, the fact that the toddler area was far enough away from where the older kids bounce and run around, there's coffee (for purchase) and even a massage chair. I did notice quite a few rules posted if you choose to have a party here. I can't speak for that experience just yet. I will have to come back as a paying customer next time. read more

Hops bounce house is an absolute blessing to the San Luis Obispo county! The prices are awesome, especially if you take advantage of the 10$ Tuesday's or 10$ AM admission on a weekday! Even with regular prices (15$) the admission is good all day long! Lots of other bounce places charge 15$+ for ONE hour, also charging for adults. At hops, adults are always free! Socks are required for everyone so make sure to bring those. If you forget, they have socks for 2$. Hops also recently started doing special-needs events for kiddos who have sensory challenges and can't handle the noise and energy of a typical day! I've brought my autistic brother to this event and he absolutely LOVES it! I highly suggest checking out the future dates for the event if your kiddo has special needs or is on the spectrum! We traveled from AG to Atascadero specifically for Hop's and my kids had a blast! I do agree that this would be getter for a younger crowd. My 10 year old got bored quickly, but my 2 year old cried when we left (after going strong for 2 hours). It is definitely on the smaller size, but for the younger crowd that's not a bad thing! With as often as my youngest switched bounce houses at one point I just stood In the middle and watched. If you aren't as paranoid as I am, there are insanely comfy sofas scattered around. Sit back and enjoy while your kids run off their energy. There are also 3 TV's, vending machines with decent snacks and you can even buy a cup of coffee. I mean it can be like a mini vacation. I loooove that adults can go on the bounce houses. In the beginning my youngest was scared, but being able to go with him turned that around quickly. Also, because sometimes I want to be that fun Mom instead of always observing. My only con is that this place isn't closer to me. read more

I love this place. The staff is always busy making sure everything is clean and everyone is having fun. My step daughter asks to come here, she is 4. It is just the perfect size for her. My 2 year old loves Hop's so much we got him a membership! Pros (for my 2 YO) -Separate area for toddlers with two small bounce houses and plenty of toys -toddler size table with chairs next to the snack machine -plenty of sitting space for parents to watch your little -GREAT alternative for your kiddo especially with the extreme weather -EXTREMELY CLEAN! No shoes allowed and all the bounce houses get cleaned at closing Cons (NOT the owners fault but still an issue for me) A lot of parents plop down on a couch or even the area where you sign the waiver and don't watch their kids. I get that not every parent is a helicopter mom or dad... but at least check in on your kid every 15-20 mins. Some of the older kids play way too rough for it being an indoor bounce house place. AGAIN NOT THE OWNERS FAULT but the parents. It's a shame that they can't disconnect from their cellphone for an hour or two and play with their kids. Definitely give them a visit! read more

We discovered this place while looking up bounce house rentals. Decided to check it out that day. My kids (3 and almost 5) absolutely love it here. From my perspective, it's a great place. The A.C. is low because kids are hot, and there's fans running too. Couches are plenty and generally have good line of sight to keep an eye on kiddos. The facility is clean, and the employees regularly clean up which is rare for indoor play centers. I love the charging centers, the coffee station is a good idea, and the vending machines are great for parents in a pinch. There's a water fountain in the back for a sip or you can refill your reusable water container (I really love those things). I will say that there's a bit of sticker shock when it comes to paying to get in, however they really go above and beyond to make sure the facility is clean and orderly. That's huge in my book. Too many places let the kids trash the area and clean up at closing time. Not Hop's! This is a must for anyone with young kids in the area. read more

We drove 40 minutes to visit this place and it was so worth it. My 2 1/2 year old had a blast!! I loved that the place had sofas to sit and relax while the kids play. The toddler area is great with toys and their own little jump area. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the place considering how many kids are there. The employees were walking around cleaning up and even wiping down the toys in the toddler area. It's nice to see the try and keep the germs down to a minimum. We will for sure be back!!! read more

Best place to have children's party! My daughter's friend had her birthday party at Hops today and I'm absolutely impressed! It's our first time there and I was a bit nervous how they handle social distancing and mask requirement. When we walked in, we were greeted by two employees (or they could be the owners), both wearing masks, explained the rules briefly and handed us a waver to sign. I wore my mask but as I was walking in, I took my mask off and they did not not pick on us. Thank you Hops for being lenient. Our party was small, total of 10 children and 8 adults. All children played in all bounced house and my girl love the toddler section that has a playhouse, rocking animals and shopping cart. The restrooms were clean! And since there's no shoes inside, they provide rubber slip on slippers to go in the restrooms. Looking forward to bringing my girls there again for playtime once they can be open to the public (hoping soon!) We absolutely love this place! read more

This place is the best! There's lots of different bouncy structures, a kid's area for the little littles, lots of seating for parents and of course it's nice and cool in on those hot days. My son loves coming and is becoming a pro on the big slides. Today they even had a craft happening for the kids! The owners and staff care a lot about their customers and are quick to make things right if anyone has an issue. Nice place, I like that the toddler area is separate so they can still have fun away from rowdier big kids. Everything is gated in so your kiddo won't be sneaking out the front door if you are watching more than one child. Price is a bit much to do as often as I'd like. If it was $5 a child for say an hour or two of bouncing I'd come multiple times. At current prices it will be a once a year treat or hope we get invited to more birthday parties there. The part that made me drop stars was I attended for a birthday party and although there is a sign on the door saying please don't bounce if sick, there was a little girl coughing all over the place. And as most kids don't she wasn't covering her cough, I saw what I thought was her mom reminding her, to which the little girl challenged her and coughed all over the bouncer instead. I said to "mom" oh I have one who would do the same to me. She said I'm not her mom, this is the owners daughter I get it's a family business, but hire a sitter to keep your sick kid home!!! Now I have two sick kids, praying my newborn doesn't get it. Heard from birthday girls mom today and all 5 of her kids caught it as well Edited to add reply. This was an employee in a hops shirt watching the girl and the one who told me it's the owners daughter. So maybe train your employees to tell paying customers what you want us to hear. This is what the Central Coast needed! Always extremely clean, and a spot where all ages can come and enjoy.
