Located on El Camino, in downtown Atascadero, is Hop's Bounce House. We went here for our family friend's son Bday. You check in, put shoes in a cubby, and let the kids go wild. They had six big bounce/slide setups and 3 for really small children. My daughter loved it. They have a party room with 5 tables. Everything was clean. The couches by the bounce setups were clean. All the kids had a great time and enjoyed Hop's! My daughter already wants to go back.

Can't say enough about his place. It's over 100 degrees the past two weeks! This place is indoors and you can't wear your shoes past the gate so it is super clean. Huge play are with bounce houses to wear your kids out and a little under 3 area for your little bouncers with toys and chalk! The whole place is nice and cool so the kids are not super sweaty and they have really nice couches through out the place for parents. They encourage parents to jump with kids so the bouncy houses are adult friendly! There is free WiFi it is common to see people working from here while their kids play. Since my initial review we got a membership and spend 3 to 4 hours a week here. I am partly WFH and with free WiFi I am able to work while my kiddos play! They never get bored and never want to leave.

We LOVE this place!! The staff is so good with the kiddos and you can tell they really love what they do. (Big shout out to my boy's bestie Karly!) They have created an awesome space for all ages (and they've thought of everything...even slippers you can wear into the restroom!) Hop's is the best thing that has happened in this town for kids in a LONG time. Thank you for providing such a safe, clean, fun environment where I can relax in cool comfort while my boys bounce to their hearts content. (I mean...I get to read my book and lounge, which never happens at home.) Parents, friends...Come check this place out!!! The price is awesome, especially if you go for the monthly pass. Worth every penny!!! Ok, ok I need to stop, but I just can't say enough great things...Hop's is seriously the BEST fun!!

We went in yesterday and stayed for a little over three hours. It was clean, bright and had lots for my five year old son to enjoy. He was having so much fun that he didn't want to leave! We signed up for the membership and my son wants to have his birthday party there. If the pricing concerns you, consider what you would spend to see a movie. At least with this, the kids are getting some exercise and gross motor development!

I happen to walk in on grand opening day and got a nice little trial. This is a large indoor area with 7 bounce houses including mazes and slides and ball pits. They have a lot of seating so you can sit around while your child(ren) bounce and play. There are also 3 large Tv's for those who enjoy sports. I think it is slightly pricey, but it is also nice to have something in town for kids. I'm not sure yet if the membership is worth it, so I'll see how often I end up here. I do think it's worth it if your child(ren) LOVE bounce houses.

My enchanted forest!!!…read more ...and you don't have to travel far to the Fairy Tale Land, the Los Osos Oaks State Reserve is located right off Los Osos Valley Rd. with a small parking lot fits maximum maybe 10 cars. Look at the trail map, you will get a brief idea. Even though some reviews stated trails are not well marked, it's in fact very simple and hard to get lost. There's no scale on the map, it's smaller than I had anticipated though. The whole loop (started from Loop trail, connected to Oak View Trail and back from Los Osos Creek Trail) took me about 35 mins despite I stopped here and there to take photos and just enjoying the fresh smell of the wood after the rain. The more deep into the wood, where the Loop trail and Oak View Trail connects, the 800 years old Costal live oaks made me feel like everything would come alive when the sun goes down...and I absolutely love my solitude. Once you are closer to the entrance, you will start hearing the cars driving by Los Osos Valley Road and you know you are heading the right direction. I wouldn't consider it's a workout but absolutely good for all hiking levels and a short escape from the people. Side note: Poison oaks are natural part of the area, however, it's winter I was pretty much covered.

The steep Cuesta made the "Asistencia" essential for weary travelers. As my "mission"/ hobby to eventually explore most, if not all, county, city, or other parks, in the greater SLO or Northern Santa Barbara County areas continues, I had to stop by this smaller SLO county park, that is so easy to miss, even since it is just off Hwy # 101, and only one block to Santa Margarita's main street [AKA Hwy # 58]. Out of the many area parks, it does have a rather cool & unique kiddie park that somewhat reflects the history of these former lesser known spanish mission/western boom towns like Santa Margarita ["Santa Margarita de Cortona asistencia"] and Pozo. While the kiddie park appears to be relatively kid safe [complete with a safety floor composed of shredded rubber], one still has to watch your kiddies, since it is right next to the railroad tracks, Hwy # 58, and a potential fall area on the banks of the bordering small seasonal creek just behind the kiddie area {see pic of pedestrian bridge}. The kiddie park building facades harken back to the historic past of this town. It was said that J. Estada was given the rancho by his brother, who was then the Mexican Governor, of California. He was famous for hospitality, fandangos, & a party that lasted two weeks! At one time in history, this town was a pivotal area, at the end of the railroad, until Chinese immigrants hired by local Chinese Ah Louis [who's historic former store still stands in SLO], built the tunnels & better roads down the Cuesta, after grueling labor & deaths, over a period of at least 5 years. While there was a Wells Fargo stop in town and numerous hotels [some of ill repute], it is unclear if the "Rocky's Hotel" facade pays homage to that era. All in all, if one needs a pit-stop for both kids and adults, this little park, along with some eats from town, is a great choice, as one surmounts the infamous historic Cuesta grade [Hx: Costa {Latin= rib}~ Cuesta {Spanish=slope} ~Cuesta {English/Geology-"grade"}] up this section of the 101 [where numerous incidents have occurred with the involvement of fog, fire, incline, or deer collisions] & facinating history [links= http://www.historic101.com/Cuesta/main.htm or https://ridermagazine.com/2015/08/31/a-short-history-of-californias-cuesta-pass-on-u-s-101/ It is also a great pit stop [and likely the only restrooms] before a long drive west to Carrizo National Park & it's amazing Salt Lake [periodic Wildflower blooms], south to Santa Maria Lake [SLO-town reservoir], or even further south, to obscure little Pozo [open only on weekends, but one can check if at least the Saloon [formerly a stagecoach stop] is open by a removable roadside standup sign, or one could call either the vintage Saloon, or even the more modern Vintage Cowboy Vineyard tasting room at the very end of tiny historic Pozo]. It may also be a good kiddie pit/pic stop if one contemplates dinning at the fabulous "The Range" restaurant in town [cash or local check only], checking out the cool Zip-line business {Margarita Adventures, that also goes over vineyards & ancient fossil Oyster beds}, a winery {Ancient Peaks & see an ancient local Oyster fossil or have a snack with your wine tasting ], or one of the very few shops [for a snack, art, or antique]. While this little park can accommodate larger community groups for BBQ's and events, it seems quite underused on off peak/off season hours. This one of the many cool SLO county parks that are distributed wisely in both small & bigger towns alike. Please refer to this county link for this and other day parks [including dog, skate, event, picnic, sports], pools, hiking, golfing, botanical garden, lakes, & more venues... as follows: https://www.slocounty.ca.gov/Departments/Parks-Recreation.aspx The City of SLO [as well as many other cities in this county] also has a link to their system of parks, as follows: https://www.slocity.org/government/department-directory/parks-and-recreation

Make sure you have plenty of time as there is quite a bit to see. We had a little over an hour and weren't able to see everything. We parked at the parking village drive parking garage, which was $10. There are 2 trails that head to the entrance arch shown in the picture..the first we ran across connected to the living quarters as was a narrow trail in the grass leading to the woods. This is a tad more challenging as the other trail is a gravel road with a slight incline and this route is a small path through the woods ( incline, decline, over branches and roots, etc). After about 14 mins it connects the gravel travel. To access from the gravel trail start from the parking garage opposite of the parking garage entrance there is a sidewalk path leading to a bridge, cross the bridge and you'll be on your way. Immediately, we saw some horses wandering around and crossing us on the trail. They were calm and a pleasant surprise. I won't post much of our photos, but there are lots of interesting structures that gave me a burning man feel. Lots of graffiti too, not sure if that is welcome or just vandalism. This was a nice change of pace trail and I would recommend.

There's also a parking garage that isn't too far, in addition to the nearby staff lots. Trail is a fire road, and occasionally there are cars/trucks on it, so stay aware. You'll eventually come to a route to your right with a bridge for a hidden trail, but keep going to the left to get to the graveyard - plan to spend an hour or two if you really want to wander around and see all the structures. The trail itself is shady, but several of the projects are out in the open - take sunblock and water, and use common sense. For better or worse, most of the architecture displays are run-down, broken, and/or vandalized with graffiti - it lends a cool dystopian vibe to the area but it's a shame that the university let them get so damaged. Still cool to explore, though, stop by to take a look and get in some steps on a nice day!
