Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and want to take the kids somewhere to play! For the price you pay I think it's a great value. At first I thought it was just the main level, but then we discovered the second floor which also has a lot of fun activities. There's also a small outdoor area to play in. We were a large group with multiple families and we all enjoyed it.

We spent the weekend in Paso Robles and took our 1.5 year old daughter here for the morning. She had a great time exploring the museum, and it was nice to play inside with air-conditioning since it gets quite hot in Paso. I'm not sure why some people gave low ratings. I thought the museum was clean, well-maintained, and fun! There was pretend play with the kitchen, baby dolls, and market. I really liked the arts and crafts area, where you could help yourself to markers, construction paper, tape, glue, etc. There was a small theater and "stage" for little ones to perform, and a cool hands-on "Newton's Playhouse" with cannons and balls. My favorite activity was the "grape stomp" ball pit with purple and green balls. Since it was a hot day, we didn't spend any time outside. But they had a fire truck, large foam blocks, sandbox, and a few picnic tables. Admission was reasonable at $7 for adults and $6 for kids, and it's good for the entire day. One thing to note is they don't open until 11am on Sunday, Thursday, and Friday (10am on Wednesday and Saturday).

We had our road trip and Paso Robles were one of the stops. I was looking for kids activities on yelp and found this "museum" with very good rating. However I am little disappointed at this place. First, I thought it should be more like a museum than a playground for children. There is two fire trucks ( I think it's real) in this place. And other than that, just some regular toys you can find elsewhere like ball pit, grocery shops. My son was there for about 1 hour and he gets bored and wants to left. Secondly, I think they need some better maintenance. There is a ball shooting area on the second floor, and the balls there are dirty. We also had a stop at Santa Barbara and we visited another children's museum moxi, which is much more fun and worth to stop by. But I don't recommend to come to this place as a local attraction if you visit Paso Robles

Five stars alone just for the paint wall!!!! Our toddler also loooooved playing with the crazy ball maze and fake food and kitchen area. I also liked that this place had a nice indoor eating area. The SLO museum only has a small outdoor area, and when it rains it's a drag eating outside. Here's to more visits at this fab place!!!

Of course, it is focused on Paso Robles history so it is really cool to learn about what got Paso Robles going. It has only been a wine town for the last 20 or so years but before that, it was known for hot springs. I came with my family and we got a kick out of all of it. There are so many recreations that truly help bring history to life. From the cars to the mini models of buildings back then, and the staff, you could spend a good afternoon just reading and learning all about the history of Paso Robles and what it was like to live in the early days. My personal favorite was the blacksmith, not for the history but the proportions. As for more practical bits to my review: There is a small parking lot with Pioneer park where you can park you car. No shade and it is narrow so be aware when you park there. They also have a small parking lot if I remember correctly but we ended up parking in Pioneer park since we got there before they opened. The entire property is dedicated to the museum so once you walk in the gates, you can start learning. It is also free admission so I am honestly amazed it is still going. Donate to help keep it going and maybe buy something from them! They also do have AC so if you want to escape the heat, go there. It is a big building so it did still get warm in 100 degree heat but it was much better than outside. I highly recommend stopping by since it is super fascinating. I sadly didn't take any pictures since I was so busy just learning about everything. So keep an eye out for that blacksmith! ;)

The entire time we were there I saw workers tidy up and sanitize and clean the whole time so that is reassuring! Like the indoor didn't impress me enough.. when we went outside.. I was mind blown at how much is outside and how even cuter it is! They had balance bikes with helmet and a track for kiddos, fishing, building, learning to milk a cow, dinosaurs, farmers market, and so much more! Also, kid friend height table and benches perfect for snacking and breaks. Is to note there isn't any food or drinks available for purchase at the museum but we were able to bring our snacks. Price point was so affordable especially for the experience and what they offer for the kids. We will definitely recommend this place and would highly likely return!

The lady working was super friendly and helpful, she even told me they do music classes and that the kids are more than welcome to join. Around 11am they have a person doing a science presentation but unfortunately she was running late on her project and I overheard her being kind of rude and not in a good mood so we decided to move on to the next room. They were also selling boba and eggrolls outside, sorry I forget the name of the seller that had their booth there. The kids enjoyed the front area where they can dress up, draw and play with toys. There was also someone selling their 3D printed animals, which the kids loved so I caved and bought them all one plus help support small businesses. Overall it was a nice experience for the kids to enjoy.
