    Crab grilled cheese

Adventures with Grubhub continued: this is a new addition to the restaurant list, and when I saw they have crab grilled cheese I jumped at the chance. The sandwich arrived with a cup of what might be tomato soup, (it's very thin but it does have chunks of tomato in it,) but the sandwich is definitely the star here. Overflowing with a variety of cheeses and chock full of seasoned crab cake meat I was pretty full after half of the sandwich. But not so full as to skip the perogies which I was excited about. The pierogi themselves are pillowy and chewy and delicious, and the bacon definitely added to the flavour profile. The reason this isn't a 4 star review is only due to the "sautéed onions" which are WAY undercooked and crunchy. This seems to be a bizarre rookie mistake in an otherwise very tasty meal. I'll be ordering again soon

Really not a fan of this place. First, parking was next to impossible. We had to park a few blocks down and walk to the building (which would be fine if the food was worth it). We went for trivia, which ended up being cancelled (which isn't their fault, but was frustrating). The general atmosphere was relaxed and has promise, but the meal itself dropped the ball. I saw good reviews for the crab Grilled cheese and wanted to try it. However, they decided to increase the prices $2 for any item with crab due to the market right now. This would be fine if there was actual crab anywhere on the sandwich. It was legitimately just cheese, not even with the flavor of any crab. I had my boyfriend try it, and he didn't even realize it was a "crab" grilled cheese. Therefore, the price increase only angered me that much more. My boyfriend got the cheeseburger Boli. He said it was okay, but dripping in grease. He likes greasy and fatty foods, but even he thought the pool on the plate was unappealing. Additionally, they charged the same amount that you would pay for a full sized Boli at a pizza joint that would feed a full family. But the Boli was about the size of my hand, tops. By the end of the meal, we were both still hungry. I have a rather small stomach and am usually satisfied with appetizer sized meals, but I was hungry after my meal, and my boyfriend was still hungry after his snack of a Boli. We actually ended up having to go out to eat somewhere else, which we have never had to do before (especially because we're pretty cheap). This establishment was very disappointing, both the prices and portion sizes. I highly recommend going to Ted's on Allentown Boulevard. Their food was our savior for the night.

I wanted coconut shrimp but this is a turn off. I'm sorry this is far from golden brown.

I wanted coconut shrimp and received this instead. It's sad because their food is usually good but this is a turnoff. Shame on the cook for sending this out!

A small town hit, Steve the owner is amazing and always making sure your food is what you expect. Never had a bad plate and enjoy the big food menu and great adult beverages.

Wow! My companion…read moreand I stopped in on an early Saturday evening after months of "you know, we should try that place sometime." We are glad we finally did. 1762 was formerly known as The Warwick Hotel, and that's the prominent markings you'll see from the street. It is a really excellent spot on the square in Hummelstown with cozy charm and exceptional service. My companion was initially skeptical when she saw wine on tap but immediately changed her mind when she saw the offerings--good quality and reasonable price point. The beer selection is also good. Not a huge number of beers but well-selected. Although we didn't have a full meal we did enjoy the sausage and honey appetizer, which was outrageously tasty with sausage from a local butcher in Hershey. Service was efficient and friendly, especially considering the bar (where we sat) was hopping. We also met the owner, Dave, who rolled up his sleeves to assist at the bar while also personally greeting customers. Our biggest regret is that we waited so long to finally visit...and we'll definitely be back soon.

We had the sweet potato appetizer and the pork belly. They weren't the most composed dishes but the flavors were there. Unfortunately I ordered a steak medium. The first time I cut into it was rare at best. Completely red inside and blood all over the plate. Sent it back and they sent the same steak back out and it was medium rare at best. I ate around the edges. They did comp the meal which was appreciated. We will give them another shot due to the positive appetizers and service

For the second time ever, I visited a brewery after already knowing about its beers. (The first…read morebeing Flying Fish, R.I.P.) But this place is much more than beer, and I can't recommend it enough. First, there is a bar completely separate from the eating area, so you can choose what experience you want. Second, I've known that all their beers are top notch, which is why I wanted to come here. I'm not an IPA guy, but the black IPA is some top notch stuff that anyone can appreciate. Not super hoppy, really well balanced. Blonde stout is another superb creation, Lancaster gets some depth into it that many other breweries can't manage. Third, if you want food, they learned from the Food Network and limited their menu to just a few choices, all excellently prepared. I ordered the Angry Mac with gator meat. It had excellent flavor, they made it spicier like I asked, and unlike most places they provided plenty of meat. Great quantity and great taste that I wasn't expecting. I tasted my friend's polenta and it was perfectly balanced with some cheese, not too salty. I could eat that for days. Finally, Eva, our waitress? Wonderful. My friend and I were weighing dessert, we wanted a brownie but not the whole hot fudge brownie sundae. Eva made it work and even split it between heated and cold. What a great server. Props to Eva! To get this quality of food, this quality of beer, this quality of service, and this quality of ambiance all in one? No wonder my friend was willing to go two days in a row. I need a Lancaster Brewing in my town.

I ordered the French dip and she said it was her favorite sandwich. I know why, it's a solid French dip! We got our food in 8 minutes after we ordered, I'm not sure if Joyce said anything to the cooks because I did mention I was starving lol. My partner got a chicken torta - I would call this an Americanized chicken torta. It came on some sort of grain bread. Still tasty, the thinly sliced jalapeños gave it a nice kick. The cafe was fairly busy but service was quick. Do I wish they served fries instead of chips, yes, but beggars can't be choosers. Again, it's airport food but it's pretty good for what it is. I would go back just to say hello to Joyce!

Good customer service isn't complicated: acknowledge guests, communicate clearly, and treat people…read morewith basic respect. In a slow airport restaurant, every customer matters -- not just for the sale, but for tips and repeat business. Ignoring patrons, responding with passive-aggressive attitudes, and offering sarcastic remarks doesn't just hurt the customer experience, it directly hurts employee earnings and the restaurant's reputation. When staff complain about low tips or slow business but fail to recognize how their own attitude drives customers away, that's not bad luck -- that's bad service. Common sense says that professionalism brings profit, while poor behavior guarantees the opposite. If I was the owner I would be concerned.
