She has remained solid in cleaning her materials and I just knew she would follow protocol even afterwards. She wore her mask and used sanitizer on her hands, and I wore my mask. She still thoroughly cleans her client's lashes too. ALL was well. She even took it as far as to cover up her client laying pad with sanitary paper so as not to transfer any kind of liquid or particles, etc. from one appointment to the next. AGAIN, I haven't seen her in almost half a year and she's so detailed that she still remembered what I wanted because she keeps notes on all of her clients! That's so smart!!! INSTEAD of asking, "how do you want it?" each time. I've said before and I'll say it again...no one else is TOUCHING my lashes but her! The times that I had to wear makeup (which was only five times since March of this year) I used the magnetic lashes which was Moxie Lash but there's nothing that beats the touch of Vu Lashes hands on my eyelashes! Let me start by saying I've been getting lash extensions off and on for years; and any breaks I might have taken were as a result of lash loss or eye irritation (a part of extensions I thought was the norm.) Will start this review off by saying that I've been getting my lashes done for a couple years now…read moreand have been to a handful of different places. Unfortunately, this is one the places that is a bit lower on the totem pole, figuratively speaking, in my opinion. It's situated on the top floor of an office building in the Greenway/Upper Kirby. While the place itself was clean, it did feel a little cramped due to there being only 3 small rooms for the services to be performed. There is no front office staff as the technicians will collect payment after services are done. Typically my lashes stay on and look somewhat presentable for a month. When I had gotten my lashes done here though, they had first started falling off within a couple of days, and then eventually they were all off by 2 weeks, which is extremely disappointing. I'm not sure if this is due to their method of putting on the lashes or the type of glue they use? I've been doing the same maintenance care to my lashes as I have been, so I don't know how else they would've fallen off so quickly. Sure they were pretty when applied, but the price I paid for them to only stay on for 2 weeks is not worth it.

I was offered a beverage when I arrived and was quickly taken care of in the pedicure area. Thi was so sweet and gentle, which made it really easy to relax and actually enjoy my pedicure. Tracie freestyled my Halloween nails and SHE SLAYED! I gave her the freedom to do her thing and she absolutely delivered. What really impressed me was how quick she was without sacrificing quality. She had already prepped my nails before my time in the massage chair was even up! Both Tracie and Thi made me feel comfortable, and we had some good laughs while they worked on me. The employees at the front counter were nice. The beauticians were cordial and spoke good English. Although they often communicated in Vietnamese among themselves. It doesn't bother me. Because they're not loud like other nail salons. I brought my friend here in May. They were very accommodating because he was on a wheelchair. The aisles were wide enough for it to get through. The manicure station was built for wheelchair accessible. We started off with just nail trim ($22). Then he got curious about getting a shellac ($40). They came out so beautiful. Except, they won't come off easily like nail polish. They started to grow shorter as nails grow longer. It took him several weeks of washing and finally someone used paint solvent to remove the shellacs. Sigh... shellacking is not for every man. I haven't given up on Milano. I just need to find a right time to visit. Because I have a bruise on my toe, I waited until it got better before coming here. I ordered a classic refreshing pedicure package ($32). I am not into polish or massaging or anything fancy. The 30-minute nail treatment was good enough for me. Beautician Mary was my pedicurist. She took good care of my feet, especially that bruised toe. She was patient and friendly. My feet felt so rejuvenated and ready to do my routine park walk. I will be back in a few months. This was when she did her appointments in her home. It was a bit unorthodox, but I happily obliged because she did somewhat of a good job. But, I also didn't know better. I was still new to lash extensions. As she got more appointments and switched to the closet of a building she is in now, the work got increasingly more sloppy. Applications got sparse and would go in multiple directions. Towards the end of our interactions, fed up with the consistently sloppy work, I told her that I wanted the "volume refill." This refill basically gives you the appearance of a thicker look. I felt her basic refills were no longer consistent to what I was getting when I first started. I was happy to pay for the upgrade too. She did not receive that well. In my experiences with Jessica, she did not appreciate nor want to hear unfavorable feedback - even if properly delivered. When I would tell her I was unhappy with the work, giving her specifics, she would become rude and act as though I was an imposition. Which I find odd as we are the ones having to find the time to get what could have been done right the first time. Eventually, she responded to me, via text, she couldn't "accommodate my feedback." Very unprofessional? Also, in her previous location (it was one of those building that closed after a specific time, so you had to be buzzed or let in) you were expected to wait outside in the front for several minutes. Rain or shine, but since this is Houston, it was often in the blistering heat. She never apologized for having you wait and in fact made it seem as though her coming to the door of HER business was an imposition. I heard she moved yet again, but still can not produce good work. I know many of her clients - all which have left. I produced 4 consistent referrals to her all of which are unhappy with her work to date. I was always on time and tipped her very very well. It was never enough I guess... My suggestion to you is to go to Lashes by Ann on Montrose. Same price and actual consistently, impeccable and professional work.
