The shop is very well organized, toys are well kept and wrapped nicely together, and there were a lot of luxury brand clothing, gently used. They coin themselves they are West Hartford's finest children's consignment shop. The pricing was fair for most items (toys, decor, etc), but clothing seemed a bit high. They do have a rewards/loyalty program which I signed up for--I got 10% off my first purchase AND $5 off. Also, if you are local or close by they have 10% off Tuesdays. The young ladies that rang us up were very nice. I'd likely visit again since the shop is very clean. A lot of second hand children shops are cluttered, disorganized, and have a strange smell. The items are the same quality as the regular store, but at a much lower cost. A brand new J. Crew Factory store just opened last week in West Hartford's Corbin's Corner. The store has a great layout, and plenty of great summer pieces, for men, women and children. Most of the store is currently on sale for 40 - 50% off. Since this store is brand new, the exterior is still under construction, but It's what's on the inside that matters. The sales associates are friendly and answered all my questions. I've already been here twice since they opened last week. I'm glad to have a factory store nearby now. It's a good idea to come in frequently as new stock comes in often.

They are fully staffed in each department, and we were asked if we needed help multiple times. In the stroller department, one of the saleswomen was able to provide us with the pro/cons of each stroller, showed us what each one was compatible with, and showed us how they fold up, ect. Online shopping can be great, but when you're buying car seats and strollers, it's so helpful to feel their weight and ease of use. BuyBuyBaby was our one-stop shop to be able to test out all of the products and see what we liked about each one in person. The registry department was very helpful in setting up our registry, offering us waters, a gift bag, and helpful tips. I also bough a gift for a co-worker while I was there, and they have a great gift wrap station near the exit - filled with a variety of boxes, wrapping paper, tulle ribbon, gift tags, scissors, tape and gift bags. It's so nice to leave a store with your gift ready to give, without having to take out all of the wrapping supplies at home. There's plenty of parking, even in December when Corbin's Corner is extremely hectic. The only negative of the store itself: it's not on "street level", so you have to either take an elevator or escalator to get to the store. It's only been open for a few months, and I've gone a few times where the escalator was already broken I'm sure there must be a staircase for safety reasons, I just haven't seen it. But, who would want to carry large baby items up a staircase! Overall, it's really a one-stop-shop for baby. Don't forget those 20% off coupons for each item when you go!

There is a hotel and large name stores such as Whole Foods, The Cheesecake Factory, and various others. It's a beautifully maintained area and very pedestrian friendly. People have the option to live, work, and play right in this area. There's a wide selection to choose from, you don't have to leave the area if you don't want to. Parking can be found on street and two garages, all metered but affordable. There are bright murals throughout. A movie theater and a library are within walking distance. There are events such as live music. There are quite an array of things to do and eat and all in walking distance. The area can be busy but for a good reason. I find myself there quite often and enjoy the amenities.

I ventured out with my kids to check it out. They thought I was crazy but went with me to see what I was taking about. They both were amazed how big these cream puffs are and the filling is so fresh. I told them the 1st time ever having them was at the Big E back in the day. With today being the opening day for the Big E it was an added touch to the West Hartford community to have a visit from Chaz. Next best thing to driving up to West Springfield tonight. Chaz was so photogenic and super nice and thank you for making my afternoon. I plan to get more cream puffs on Wednesday when I go which is also Connecticut Day at the Big E.
