The best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Everything was fresh and the batter was very light. Service was fast and friendly.

I love this place!!…read more The food is delicious. The only suggesting I will give is to avoid the nachos! Lone Star has the best chips ever, yet they do not use their chips for the nachos. So they're a disgusting total fail. The fajitas are the main attraction here. Absolutely delicious, high quality. Just amazing. The ambiance here is good. Seating is comfortable and plentiful and it's never too loud in here. Service is good. I've never had any big issues here. Sometimes it's a bit busy but even then, the service is fine.

This was a tough one between a 3 and a 4. My wife and I love chicken fajitas. 2 weeks before we had…read morebeen to jacks just across the parking lot, this time we decided to try out the cantina. Chicken fajitas for two please. Compared to jacks, pricing a little more expensive. We had to ask for additional "fixings" as what was served was a little thin in portions except the cheese. Amount of chicken and peppers etc was perfect. Service friendly, however not up to jacks. Little things like do they keep your soft drink glass full without having to wave them down didn't happen. Place was not overly busy but server always had to be waved down if required. If the server was a more attentive and the "fixins" a little more generous I would have been inclined more to a 4. But with, at least this server which I know can be a one off, little thin on some portions, and pricing higher than jacks, I'm sticking to a three. The interior was nicely decorated and looked clean.

Evening dinner. We chose to sit bar side. Server was very professional. Drinks never ran out. She…read morewas very personable! I had the Texas sized ribs with coleslaw and baked potatoe. The ribs were excellent. They were moist and succulent with a generous amount of sauce. Very flavorful and not an over powering sauce. The coleslaw appeared to be very generic. Two forks full was more than enough. ....I liken it to formaldehyde. ....maybe I just prefer a creamy slaw rather than a vinegar base... The baked potatoes was perfectly done and was very large.... but could have Had three times the amount of sour cream. The potatoes was barely opened so a table spoon of sour cream was all there was. A side of butter was no where in sight. A pad of butter is a must with a large baked potatoe. The endless chips and salsa are a nice touch. The server was very courteous and checked in with the customers just the right am amount. I would go back for the ribs for sure...would try so different sides.

Where to start? Arrived at 1 PM, ON Sunday, August 2nd…read more Pretty empty but service was almost non-existent. We ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich (terrible because it was a hot BBQ sauce, not a Nashville sauce), the Bacon Burger was good, and the Crunchy Mushroom Tacos. The fries for both the Sandwich and the Burger were cold, had been sitting for a while. The waitress apologized for the cold fries and ordered two sides for my son and I. Unfortunately, it took at least 10 minutes to get new, hot fries. My wife liked the beans but the rice had absolutely no taste. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this place.

Came here on a Saturday evening and it was super busy. We had to wait for a little more than half…read morean hour from placing our order to the arrival of our food. However, to be fair, given how packed the restaurant was and we were told by our server that one server didn't show up so they had to cover, I'd say the wait was still reasonable. Our server was also pretty good in the sense that he came to check on us to make sure we were okay. We were given some complimentary chips and salsa so despite being hungry and the wait, there was something to fill our stomach first. We ordered the Surf N' Turf and Crispy Fish Tacos. Portions were pretty good and generous. Both dishes were decent; nothing super special but nothing bad about them either. Pricing is quite reasonable as well. We actually had leftovers since the portions were quite generous and I was impressed by the take out packages they had! They had these aluminum bags for the fajitas and their takeout box for condiments and sides was pretty organized and cute! Would come back for an everyday thing given the overall experience, service, price point, and that it's quite kid friendly!

Also the bunch of items on the side, rice, sour cream, salsa, cheese, lettuce, makes this great and filling. If you need more fajitas they are complimentary and you can ask the server. We also came with our child and she ordered the kids meal cheese quesadillas with fries which included a drink, and dessert option. Wonderful dining option for families, and plenty of TVs to watch any sporting events that are live during the dining.

Some might this this is crazy, but these tacos are better than Seven Lives. Calm down, I wasn't…read moresure if it would live up to the hype either, but this place exceeded every expectation that I could have. Hacienda is located on College Street, very close to Sneaky Dees, in a bit of a tucked away, inconspicuous location. The interior is fantastic and the atmosphere is authentic. There are a lot of reviews that knock this place for service, but that's not really the point of this restaurant. It's a family run place where the focus is food and soccer (when it's on) if you need something, you may need to call the serve over yourself, but that's no big deal cocerning the food. The tacos are the best I've had in the City. At three tacos for $12, it's hard to go wrong. After reading some of the previous reviews, the beef tongue was an obvious choice. I'm not too big in beef personallty, but the meat was so tender and almost melted. Next was the chorizo taco. It was fantastic. The chorizo wasn't overly salty like in a lot of other Mexican restaurants, which made a huge difference. The flavor was deep and rich, and paired perfectly with the salsa. Lastly was the carnitas. It's hard to make carnitas as good as Seven Lives, but wow, these were something else. The carnitas were tender, juicy, and perfectly crispy. The corn tortillas were also made in-house and were fresh and delocious. The servers also bring two sauces to the table - one salsa verde (green salsa) and one hot sauce. Both were great but be careful with the hot sauce, it's a heavy hitter! Pro tip: get a Mexican Coke, it's amazing! Hacienda is the best taco place is the City. Seven Lives is a close second, but Hacienda has them beat in terms of authenticity and flavor. Put this place on your go-to list, it will it dissapoint. 5/5

Everyone in our party ordered different things from the soup, to nachos, to chimichangas. I also tried the tamarind drink and the mango drink which were interesting as I don't normally order sugary drinks.
