It was a rainy day in Belleville, where the air was a bit chill. Out in a park shelter, we sat watching the roaring river. On a whim I gave a shot, to a popular local lunch spot. Burger Revolution! A place with even the gusto, to follow a manifesto. Beef flame-grilled slowly, and topped with fresh ingredients prepped daily. Give the people what we want; bold flavours between pretzel buns. For no rhyme or reason, The Rebel burger was stacked with potato chips, roasted garlic mayo, avocado spread, jalapeños & cheddar cheese. Yes, potato chips. The combined flavours hit the palate as a mouthful of juicy meat enhanced by these crisp, buttery, spicy notes. Satisfaction! Small wonder this huge burger was among the people's choice. As for the kid's meal, a 2.5oz Napoleon burger was aptly named for the short-statured revolutionary; but bland from basic toppings. Onion rings rounded out lunch, which our kid happily devoured instead. Burger Revolution has a creative menu ranging from classics to the Bohemian with peanut butter & Chèvre Guevara with goat cheese! A secret menu was on the restaurant wall. We decided to try this place while passing thru Belleville. The menu has a lot of very different burgers but I opted for a conventional choice, bacon and cheese on pretzel bun. It was quite tasty and made fresh for us. We also had a side of fries which were very good too. The fries seemed fresh cut and had a nice coating of herbs on them, very nice. You walk in and see the menu written on this massive chalkboard that covers the entire back wall. All kinds of toppings to choose from, different buns, great fresh cut fries/onion rings, creative burger combinations (or build your own) and the service is very knowledgable and friendly. I am not sure if I Gotta Eat Here at Burger Revolution. Just maybe I should not have order the Sliders Tuesdays Special - 2 for $11. I have to give Burger Revolution the credit of all these unique toppings and combinations. I was staring at the menu for the longest time and not even sure "Which" one?! We ended up getting: THE REBEL Roasted Garlic Mayo, Potato Chips, Tomato, Lettuce, Cheddar, Jalapeno Slices, Avocado Spread THE ROYAL RIZAL Caramelized Onion, Blue Cheese, Bacon, Red Pepper Jelly Getting a smaller size version of the above burgers as a slider was not a good idea as the meat itself was thinner and ended up being drier and the taste profile/combination ended up being off because of the mini size. I ended up not able to taste all the components. But I did like the idea of having potato chips in my burger! We also upgraded our fries to poutine. The cheese curds was so squeaky! Love that!! And it is gluten free.. not that it matter to me as long as it tasted good! The wait time was really really long and the place was not busy. Tasty! Great menu. Solid burger with the topping choices being the super stars of the menu. We stuck to the things that we saw recommended here on Yelp, with great success. I had the Chevre Gauvare, The Boy got the Rebel and Hubby got Malcolm Extreme. All were delicious and got gobbled, inhaled, wolfed down. Yes, we loved our meal. (Daughter stuck to plain basic cheeseburger - hers was good too, but not raving good like ours.) Poutine was good - we'd probably try straight fries the next time. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. And on top of that, the bun was gluten free!!!! These guys know what they're doing and it's obvious when your little local burger joint gets featured in a food network show. I had the Bohemian which was next level. Hubby had their standard revolution burger and the wee one had a Napoleon. She's 2 and she ate the whole thing without being squirmy or complaining. This is a feat unto itself. We all just loved our meals, no complaints, we will absolutely be back and bring anyone who visits us. Oh, and fries were great and a standard order was more than plenty for 2.5 of us sharing. I was the 1/2 in that equation in case anyone was wondering.... the toddler ate most of them! Staff is awesome and they're doing a great job during COVID. I absolutely love this burger joint in Belleville, Ontario. It was even featured on "You Gotta Eat Here!" with John Catucci because I had the pleasure of randomly walking in here when the episode was being filmed :) The hey don't just make your predictable, classic, boring burgers. They have unique ingredients that are all locally sourced and fresh. There are combinations on their menu that make you do a double take, like the peanut butter burger called he BohemIan. I never thought a burger could taste so good. The meat is cooked with tons of juices in every bite. The vegetables in he burger of your choice are sautéed with wonderful flavors. It's one of those burgers bigger than your mouth that you shove into your mouth. You also get fries which are tossed around with some Rosemary so you get a hint of that refreshing taste and the fries aren't greasy like regular burger joints, but baked. Also, if you're a fan of pouting, I'd actually get it from here and have it with your burger than the pouring from places nearby. I crave their burger every time I come to Belleville for work. It's a small place so the line can be overwhelming at times, but avoid peak hours and it's not too bad. You can even eat outside on the patio tables when the weather is nice. I've heard people rave about this place and it's featured on You Gotta Eat Here. On a busy street in the heart of Belleville and across from a McDonald's (ironic) sits a small little building. You'll find it easily by the amount of cars surrounding it and the sight of smoke coming from the cooking burgers. Sits maybe 20 or so people. The sight of the board of all the unique burgers. Also where each ingredient is sourced - from the cheese to the beef to the potatoes to the toppings. I had the Royal Rizal burger. Great juicy fresh beef topped with caramalized onions, blue cheese, bacon, and red pepper jelly. Nestled between a soft pretzel bun or brioche . Paired with poutine with real cheese curds equals a quality meal. Added a kids burger combo and total was $23.00. Left full and satisfied. In comparison 2 quarter pounder meals would cost nearly $20.00 and we all know how McDonald's makes us feel. read more

This NEEDS to be in Toronto. All their burgers are pretzel buns, which can be good or bad, depending if you're a fan or not. Obviously I am. I found that it makes the burger's texture different with more depth and flavour. Everything was fresh and warm - The Rebel was amazing - the roasted garlic mayo was very flavourful without being overly salty, but if it's your first time there try the La Revolution. The burgers were a good size, but if you're having dinner there you might as well make it a combo (their onion rings' batter taste way better than the generic ones you would get at other places). The atmosphere was relaxed, with a fun wall of post-its from visitors. The restaurant was clean and organized - not rowdy or too crowded like you would expect at Hero's, which made it a comfortable and enjoyable visit. It's probably ranked the #1 restaurant in Belleville considering the limited number of restaurants they have, but it was definitely worth the visit and the ranking. read more

Anyone who knows me knows that I do try to eat healthy. But when I "fall off the rails", I like to do so in a big way! This way was totally worth it!! As far as burger joints go, this place was amazing, and worth the 2+ hour drive from home!! Their menu starts with a plain basic burger, and works its way up from there. Furthermore, they are quite accomodating! Hubby is not big on spicy food, so he ordered a Rebel without the hot peppers. I got some crazy combination that wasn't on the menu: I don't even know which burger it started out with, but I chose 3 toppings that put this burger way over the top!! This was some new concoction with the addition of fried pickles (YES, really!), and warm pineapple, and I saw a sweet corn dressing on the counter, so they added that too!! It was awesome (read: DROOL!!) The buns are not your standard grocery store fare, but much, much better. We shared one order of fries between us, and didn't even finish them. I was quite full after this meal! And I topped this off with a new (to me) beverage that was a combination of root beer and "red pop". It was delish!! The whole meal was delish! One of my favourite spots off the 401. I love driving to Ottawa just because I get to stop here as a pit stop. Trust me, take the 5 extra minutes off the highway to find this spot, so very worth it. Inventive menu, amazing fries and friendly. The place is easy to love, sometimes it takes a bit long (one time over 20 mins) but overall very quick and seriously the best burgers in Ontario. I've tried a lot of burger places and burgers all over Toronto - Harbord Room, Marben, Burger Priest, Ten Restaurant etc and this place keeps up with them. Such a treat and try their unique burgers, the peanut butter one was out of this world, I somehow kept some for my boyfriend to show him. The word revolutionary fits there name. First bite gives the taste of pineapple and ghost pepper favor and the more you dig in the more the flavor compliment each ingredient individually. The cilantro compliments well with the pineapple and ghost peppers. The beef patty was cooked to perfection and the fried egg and spam adds additional unique taste of the burger. The fries is great as well not too salty and fatty! Eating the burger and fries together adds additional flavor to your burger. But once you took a bite of there amazing burger you won't be able to stop until that burger's done! The prize wasn't bad at all. The prize is same as the usual ordinary burger places. What an extensive menu that they have at Burger Revolution. Whenever I eat burgers it is usually just a regular cheeseburger with some extra ketchup so after taking a look at the menu it took me a while before I could decide which one to get. I stood in front of the chalkboard menu for almost 5-10 minutes and eventually decided to go with the Propaganda burger. Every burger on the menu seemed so good with a very interesting mix of toppings so it boiled down to an eeny meeny miney mo type of situation. And also brownie points for these unique burger names. The Propaganda burger came with caramelized onions, bbq sauce, and smoked cheese curds which I really loved, and pickels. The patty was juicy and the bun was lightly toasted which was nice. The down side is the wait time is a bit longer than usual for the food. As for the poutine they put a generous amount of cheese curds. I liked how they were cheddar cheese curds as well melted in gravy. Not as stringy as mozerella but still so good when melted. Definitely a great place to stop by when hungry and in Belleville. read more

When I was in Belleville, I searched Yelp for 'Restaurants' and this is the first hit I got. Let's just say I'm on board with this particular revolution. The burgers are definitely up there in quality, both in portions as well as variety. Their menu wall is updated monthly with different monthly specials. I stuck with the classic 'La Revolution' burger ($6.25) with bacon added, while others got the Rebel. The patty is off course of a high quality, and is of a decent thickness. Toppings are standard on the Revolution, but I counted at least two big strips of bacon in my burger, so they definitely don't skimp on the toppings here! Décor is fun, with a Post-it wall of drawings from diners, as well as pictures of the time this place was from You Gotta Eat Here. Anyway, the owners definitely deserve credit for shaking things up here in Belleville. Will make this a regular stop if I'm in this neck of the woods again. read more

Delicious burgers that basically come from a nondescript shack with a gigantic burger menu. I ordered the rise and shine off of the secret menu. It has peanut butter, red pepper jelly, cheese and a fried egg with a burger and pretzel bun. I was thinking this was a burger that a 6yr old would think of but I was amazingly surprised. Everything goes together. Everything. I ordered the combo so it came with fries and a drink. The fries were tasty despite not coming with a lot of salt. I should have asked for some mayo to go with it but they were tasty nonetheless. The food was quick, coming out within 15 min of ordering. They have tables inside and outside so they brought the food over. I will definitely come back on my next trip to Belleville. The only drawback was the price. I paid $17 for the meal. I got the vegan option; it was so flavourful and had the most unique taste. The bun was also soft and fluffy. The prices are very reasonable as well, and they've got a wide selection of fun burgers to choose from. Some on the more expensive side though. A good place for a quick meal for everyone. The customer service was also amazing! They were very friendly and helpful. They brought the food to our table, came to check up on us a couple times, and take away our dirty dishes! Not sure what's happened to this place in BELLEVILLE but I was thoroughly disgusted when I last went in Feb. The glass that I was given had finger prints and left over milk marks on it and cooks had long greasy hair and no hair net. Place needed a good scrubbing! If I could I would have left a minus!! BUT I have since been to the TRENTON location and it is spotless, cooks have nets and dishes are clean. Food is wonderful with lots of burger choices and of course the fries are amazing. During this covid time you can see that they are taking extra precautions. This is a must visit in the Trenton location and a 5 star. read more
