Amazing fish and chip. They also do home made breakfast every morning from 8am to 2pm. Must try when you're in Peterborough.

I know a lot of people think The Keg is a great steakhouse, but it's really not. It is a good…read morerestaurant, and the service is usually very good but better steaks can be found at other places, and usually at cheaper prices than the Keg. That being said, The Keg is reliable and consistent. It is good, the steaks are good, they are just not very good. The meat they use seems to be basically what you can find at any grocery store. I can find much better cuts of meat at good grocery stores or butchers and cook it much better at home. I am a bit surprised they don't use better quality meat for their steaks. But I guess it is very popular and the food is still pretty good, so why spend extra money on quality when what you are selling sells pretty good. I know this sounds like a rant on this place not being that great but that is only because I feel a steakhouse should have really good quality meat. I still enjoy eating here and at least I know what I am going to get, but I will never be "wowed" here. Some times you go to a restaurant and it just knocks you off your feet and it is a real experience. That will never happen at this restaurant, or any other Keg. I think it will always be good but quite frankly I can cook a much better steak myself, at home. So why should anybody pay the prices they charge to eat here? Well, I guess if you are away from home, and don't want to take any chances on a decent meal, this is a good choice, and it was this time as well. I just kind of wonder what I could have done at home for the price I paid for the meal I just ate at The Keg.

We sat on the patio to enjoy the view and of course you don't have that chance all year long. The tables inside were almost full and it was loud; everyone was enjoying a nice meal and the company. The staff are nice and friendly. We ordered "Shrimp Taco", "Seafood Linguini with Alfredo Sauce", "Battered Haddock", "Salmon New Orleans" and "Sautéed Shrimp". Our food came with sides our choice; grilled vegetables, fries, green salad and mashed potato. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.

I did my research, and this restaurant has been ranked highly by others here. We came here early around 4 pm and it was not too busy. Reservations are recommended here as they do get busy on the weekend. We were a group of 6, and we ordered a lot. 1. Calamari $16.99 2.Seafood linguine w/marinara sauce $31.99 3. Lobster tail with jumbo shrimps & scallops $57.99 4. Lobster and King crab $63.99 × 3 5. Fish tacos (3) $17.99 There are regular sides included with the meals and gourmet sides. There's an upcharge between $2 - $5. Food was served promptly. The lobster tail and King crab were delicious however it may not satisfy the biggest appetite. I would suggest pairing this dish with an appetizer or upgrading to gourmet sides. The lobster tails were gigantic, cooked perfectly melted in your mouth. Kudos to the chef, and they also sprinkle some salt when they grill the lobster tails to finish it off. Fish tacos were huge and also served on soft shell tacos. I recommend these fish tacos. Great for smaller meals if you're looking for some seafood. The service was excellent and friendly. They came by regularly to check on us. Will definitely come back and try the boathouse seafood feast for 2. This beats the big chain seafood restaurant out of the park. The only downside is that they don't serve any complimentary butter biscuits. The interior decor makes you feel like you're in a boat. Nice ambiance and great view of the harbour. Too bad the weather was rainy, so we couldn't sit on the patio. Belleville has a nice downtown area too bad the rain prevented us from enjoying a nice walk on their downtown area. The seafood here is excellent, a bit pricey for king crab. They have an extensive menu including some dishes influenced by New Orleans like creole shrimp, jambalya. The rest of the menu is comparable to other places, and there's definitely something for everyone.

Captain's Boil, the formulaic chain would be the floor and the one I really enjoyed, Lobster Boil Seafood House, in North York would be the ceiling. What I'm about to say about Sea Salt would definitely leave their management a bit "salty". Unequivocally, Sea Salt sits in the deep basement of the pecking order. Sea Salt's standing was easily determined after my first spoonful of the seafood broil. The sauce was their downfall as they went overboard with the of garlic and not to mention they burnt the garlic. As the Cajun sauce is the soul of a seafood boil, their sauce literally ruined the entire dish and experience. The combo we ordered came with fried calamari and shrimp and fries. The fried calamari and shrimp lacked a bit of "salt", which is rather ironic considering the restaurant's name and neither of the sauce complimented (sweet chilli and ranch) the calamari well. The fries were what you expected it to be. But a little bit too much sauce. The one thing that I liked was you could choose to have the Turkish Salaam Cola as part of your combo drink choice. I didn't think it was all that different from regular cola, but it was nice to try. Service is quite slow here and not super attentive. We had to flag them down various times to get things that should have been provided. We weren't given enough plates to start and we had to request for bibs and disposable gloves. These are pretty standard things at other boil places. In general, the appetizers were better than the seafood boil. The portion of the combo was pretty good so we packed some of it to go. But to put things into perspective, the following day I reheated the food for lunch, and my two kids didn't even touch it (with one of them who had experienced Lobster Boil Seafood house). That tells you something!

You go girls I love it. Came here for dinner and had a hard time choosing what to order as there are so many good options on the menu. Really wanted the calamari & shrimp appetizer but opted in for the shrimp bucket and the fish and chips. I also got a coconut mango drink which was super refreshing and delicious. I thought the fish tacos had a kick of spice added but they were still good. The fries were crispy, which I loved but the highlight for me has to be the shrimp. I loveeeeed the sea salt sauce. Though I usually don't like corn, I loved this one and enjoyed the meal. Would come back here for more for sure!
