After being disappointed by chicken wings at nearby Pho Vietnam, I had to get my wing fix but wasn't compelled to travel all the way to Outback at Stafelhofen. So Hooters was a good substitute just in the heart of Helvetiaplatz - a cool neighborhood close to Langstrasse and plenty of bars.
The experience is not the same as you would find in a Hooters in the States (ah hem, it feels like a few things are more "bio friendly" here in Zurich ); but you will still find the concept of beers in pitchers, big wing platters (there are ~7 types you can choose from) and many types of foreign beers including a few from Mexico (we just can't get enough of those Mexican beers).
The menu is varied and offers all the American BBQ foods such as wings, burgers w curly fries, baby back ribs (weirdly there was a poster of "Mini Me" next to me so I felt awkward ordering those baby back ribs ), etc. The prices are reasonable for Zurich and the atmosphere is good if you just want to wear your casual clothes and not get judgmental stares from the bankers' paradise which is only ~10 minute tram ride away.
However I do still think the throne of Zurich chicken wings still belongs to Outback, and their all you can eat wings on Monday night is all too hard to resist for those with wing fetishes... However they only have two choices (which both are good, and you can mix it up). read more
