Really lovely and comfortable outdoor space! My friend and I stopped by after a long hike. I got a watermelon spritz, and we split a fried chicken sandwich and the truffle mac n cheese. While the mac n cheese was kind of bland, I enjoyed the rest of the food. But most of all I really liked the watermelon spritz - so refreshing after a long day of hiking. Would definitely suggest folks give this place a visit!

After an exhaustive search for a brunch spot on the hottest day on record during our week long trip in Zurich, we arrived at Fork & Bottle. Hands down. Fantastic experience. From the super attentive host to our engaging server, this place scores big points for friendliness, artisanal food and great outdoor atmosphere. Ordered the Breakfast Burger of the Week with a fried egg and bacon. Prepared to perfection. Quality local ingredients are the star of this dish. And that bun! All bread should taste this good. Also ordered the Mushroom on Gruyère toast with poached eggs. The cheese was slightly salty with some age on it. Made all the difference in the world. Don't get me started on the fries. Ridiculous. A fantastic, farm to table experience. Literally. Sat next to a farm horses and all. Approachable, delicious and worth the three train rides we took to get there. Comfort food at its finest.

We tried this place based on the reviews and pictures from yelp and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing with great portions at a reasonable price. The service was extremely fast and courteous. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

On the first night we arrived in Switzerland we found this place via Yelp (as usual). We totally agree with the reviews. First the atmosphere is amazing outside in the garden area with a few of some hills and some inspiration to get in the great outdoors and workout the following day. The inside is large and beautiful as well. The service was perfection. Excellent beer choices as well as wine. The black bean/beet burger and sweet potato fries were perfect for me. So many locals took over large tables enjoying their time all around us. We arrived earlier before the crowds but the service still remained on point even when the outside area was almost completely full. Back for brunch upping from 4-5 !!!!!

On my last night in Switzerland I was craving something outside the traditional Swiss cuisine lol. I found this awesome eatery and decided to Uber from my hotel. The staff we're extremely friendly and laid back which made the experience nice. The atmosphere is very chill and casual. The signature cocktail is delicious and the fish and chips are the best I've had EVER! Highly recommend this place specially if you're looking for a good time and great food.

This is the quintessential neighborhood spot. It's perfect for friends, families and dogs! Off the beaten path you can get here by bicycle or train. There is a small parking lot for cars. Huge outdoor area with a play area for kids. Super cute! Couches and comfy seating abound. I shared a table bench with a couple and unfortunately both of our service was very slow. It took 10 minutes just to get someone's attention who then had to get someone else to take my order. Then my order came before the couple who were seated before me. They really need to get a handle on it. The saving grace to my Bloody Mary was the slice of bacon. Otherwise it was bland so I had to add my own Tabasco. Do not recommend unless you are nursing a hangover and just want tomato juice. The Chorizo Eggs Bénédicte was delicious. Full flavour spicy sausage sliced atop English muffins, with poached eggs and accompanied with potatoes. I really enjoyed every bite. Great ambiance, full bar and good menu. If they can improve service then they will earn 5 stars.

This is a great place to hang out with your close friends. Food is good, service is awesome, and other guests are pleasant. Romeo who was our server did an excellent job. His wine and beer suggestions were spot on. I had a great company and lots of fun talking with them without the restaurant or Romeo giving us any pressure at all other than making sure everything was alright with us. I didn't get to try their bathroom so I really can't comment on their toilets, but I'm sure it was fine.

Great craft beer list. The bacon battered strips with maple aioli were amazing. Chicken sandwich was juicy and crunchy but lacked seasoning. The ribs were amazing. Mike, the owner, is from Boston and has been in Switzerland over a decade and owned this gem 7 yrs. support small business owners!

I really don't know why this place is on the list of best breakfast restaurants. I had smashed avocado toast with eggs. Bread was tasteless, too much lemon juice in smashed avocado. I also had ginger tea. It was just hot water with couple of pieces of ginger. Not even a slice of lemon or spices, or honey. I don't recommend this place

Oh how we love Fork & Bottle! The atmosphere is adorable, the beer selection is huge, the menu has so many options plus creative specials, and the food is consistently delicious! The restaurant is near a beautiful park and has a few animals (ponies) outside of it. The outdoor area is huge with a ton of picnic tables. They have a kids play place so your kids can safely play while you enjoy a beer and the great atmosphere. The beer selection is so good! My husband is a fan of Trappist beer and they always have a rotating set of cool beer he loves to try. We've been three or four times and the food has consistently been amazing. Their burgers are the best we've had since we moved to Zürich - they're huge, perfectly cooked, with creative and toppings. I also hear that their Sunday brunch is the best so we'll have to roll out of bed to try that next.

Fork & Bottle would fit right in Mid-city of Los Angeles. It is the kind of top-notch gastropub combining a massive, eclectic collection of seasonal and micro-brewed beers and wines with really delectable artisanal food. It was certainly one of the better restaurants we went to in Switzerland. The food is really good and you'd have a hard time believing you were getting this delicious American cuisine in Zurich of all places. I like how the emphasis at Fork & Bottle is getting back to quality and technique in their food and drink. Their entire staff is welcoming and just want you to have a fantastic time. FOOD The 10-hour house-rubbed pork ribs were the hearty and saucy type of ribs that any BBQ fan would enjoy. There was a good finger-licking balance of fatty meat and it fell right off the bone. Plus, it was massive and the five of us were stuffed from this serving. What I really liked is that they serve their food on wooden carving boards so each dish is easily shared especially if you have a big party. Deep fried bacon - this dish would make any American proud. Succulent bacon is coated in fried goodness. It is crisp and crunchy and is like a refined pork rind. It is no wonder this is one of their most popular dishes because it is such a delectable guilty pleasure. This one was gobbled up in seconds. Soft-shell crab burger - This was probably one of the best soft-shell crab variations I've had. The pillow-like softness of the bread just worked really well with the crunch of the crab. The meat also was fresh and substantial even for a soft-shell crab. Fish and Chips - really good IPA batter on the fish and I like the large size because it reminds me of fish and chips from London. The F&B Beef Burger and the Curried Chickpea Pie were also very good. DRINKS Great beers - Hipster Pale Ale and the Sommer's Blonde Ale. Both were lighter beers and paired really well with the saltiness of the meats. The blonde ale was especially good. We also had their cider which was a fruity yet smooth drink with only a slight alcoholic finish. DESSERT Sticky Toffee Pudding, Deep Fried Apple Pie - somehow despite the large portion sizes, we had room for dessert and both the toffee pudding and apple pie were fantastic though I'd give the edge to the toffee pudding. It's a rocking great time all around as they'll be playing all of the hits from the 80s and 90s. Being across the street from a small farm (with cute animals!) and lots of open space means Fork & Bottle is the perfect place for an outdoors brunch with lots of friends just enjoying great food and drink. Inside there are multiple floors and a rustic ambiance for a rollicking great dinner or lunch. For Swiss citizens, this is a great example of artisanal American cuisine done well. For travelers from the States, this is a piece of home if you're feeling homesick. Definitely recommend Fork & Bottle to all. Will be back to try their Fried Chicken Fridays!

Unless you don't mind eating outside in the dark with all the smokers. Second....expect to wait a long time. This isn't a fast food restaurant so grab a beer and wait 45/60 min to get your food. Third... Switzerland is very expensive so this restaurant is no different. 2 burgers, 2 alcoholic drinks, and French fries were 98CHF which is pretty much 100 bucks. They have 3 sauces for you to try. Ketchup- Tasted like marinara sauce. BBQ- Tasted like smokey ketchup. 1000 island. Tasted normal. Burgers were great. They were juicy and delicious. Animal Style French Fries were a good try. Def not like the original but so far from home it was a nice find. This restaurant isn't for Americans. Way too expensive for what we eat all the time but I compare this place to the Melting Pot in the US. That place is so overpriced but it's amazing to get your cheese fondue fix. I can't imagine Swiss people coming to the US and eating at our expensive version of cheese fondue. Service was ok. It was super busy so can't really complain but I could tell our waiter was super annoyed with our audacity of showing up , with no reservation, and willingness to wait. And for some dumb reason you can't order "The Threesome" (or Hattrick) with a group of 5 people. 4 apparently is ok but we had 5. Cannot imagine why if 3 people order the same thing it's an inconvenience for the restaurant but DON'T DO IT or again your waiter will show his annoyance.

James Joyce boasts having the "best" burger in town (it's not) and our local friend recommended the place more for drinks, but we chose this anyway since its within walking distance from Widder bar where we came from. The menu reads like a dependable Irish pub fare, but with Zurich prices. GAH! I feel destitute in Zurich. Prices of 25CHF and up for an entree is typical. Fish n chips were deliciously crispy; while the burger has decent moist MMMeat. Alas, the cheese was dried out and burnt on the edges. (I mean, how does one manage to burn cheese?!) Sit outside if the weather permits, because the setting is really inviting with tea light candles and fresh flowers on the table. A glass of Lillet Blanc and a Guiness on tap are excellent end of the night drinks. The friendly service warrants the 4th star, but you should go somewhere else for the best burger in town.

The hotel had been slated for demolition and the bank that was building a place to entertain its out of town clients bought the wood paneling and decorations and shipped it all over to Zurich--crazy! I read about this place in my guide book and it was also recommended by my Zurich resident friend so I had to check it out. From the outside you'd never be able to tell what the interior holds; it has a quite a modern-looking patio and is on a well-heeled side street off the main shipping drag, Bonhofstrasse. It looks like it could be any other upscale bar until you walk inside: lots of dark gleaming yet well-worn wood, intricate tile work, and period paintings. You can take it all in as you sip the beverage of your choice. We weren't hungry enough to sample their food, but from what I could see on the other tables it looked pretty damn good. The bartender was very nice and friendly and the whole place just felt very comfortable. Well worth a visit.
