+.5 for service…read more Smitty's, compared to the popular Manitoba grown chain restaurants (e.g: Tavern, Stella's), is more family focused, with an older clientele. I don't dine at Smitty's often, but I won't say no to their wing deals and their poutine. I actually had their poutine in my most recent visit, as I wasn't hungry and wanted something light for dinner. Their poutine was above average in my opinion, their fries are fine, they're generous with their curds, and their gravy wasn't bad either. Nothing amazing, but it did the job. Service was excellent here. For what it's worth, Smitty's in my opinion has the best value for wing night specials. Their wings are on the smaller side, but it does equate to more wings since it's per pound. I'd say that's where you'd see me dine here more.

The pasta was well cooked and the 2 garlic bread slices were very satisfying because I haven't eaten that in a very long time. My friend really liked The Johnny's Poutine. No complaints from us! I went with the sweet escape traditional wings listed in their top 10, which included honey garlic, caesar, and parmesan. The food came out rather quick, however the wings were...lukewarm at best. I definitely expected it to be piping hot at least. My friends ordered the poutine and actually liked it. In fact, one of my friends wanted chili poutine but they ran out of chili...so he got a regular poutine for free. I'll give them full points for service at least. Maybe I should have the poutine next time...haha. However, for wings, this place doesn't cut it.

We went on Tuesday when they have half priced wings, maybe the only way to go because their regular prices are pricy. I drove a friend over to this restaurant, parked, and went in. Tony Roma's is known for its ribs. I have been to this location twice in my life. Did I ever order ribs? Nooo! Back then, I was still developing my love for food. My first time, I ordered a top sirloin steak with shrimp. The steak was so good and flavourful. I remember how happy I was eating it. The shrimp were perfectly done. The next time, I ordered wings. They were delicious! Wings are my lifeline. On one of these visits, I had an amazing dessert. It was a chocolate brownie in a small black skillet, with vanilla ice cream on top. It was fantastic. I don't see that on the menu these days, which is a bummer. However, there is a dessert trio with my name written all over it to consume. Sadly, this Tony Roma's location is currently closed due to COVID-19. When I am back in Winnipeg, I'd love to drop by this location and give the ribs a try, along with dessert. (137)

Both of ours were both way overcooked. I let our server know when she asked, but not as a complaint. She let us know that she would be right out with our refills. Instead, a guy brought us ours, and when he put them onto the table, he didn't let go of them, and stared us in the eye, back and forth. It was really odd, especially because he turned out to be the manager. Chris was argumentative, confrontational, and belittling. I let him know that I had said that the steaks weren't done how we had ordered them. He asked us if we even know the "correct" doneness of a steak, and proceeded to tell us that we really didn't. He made quite a big issue out of it. So much so, that he went back to the kitchen to get his chart, and pointed out each level. He stared us in the eye and was defensive and challenging. I rarely go out to eat, so this was supposed to be a nice, relaxing occasion for some great food. I was really looking forward to it. It was the absolute opposite when Chris came out like some sort of pit bull. I feel bad for the staff at this location, because if he was willing to treat two complete strangers this way, he definitely is this way to the people around him. One thousand per cent DO NOT recommend!! Do not even think about coming here. Tell your friends, to save them the hassle.
