Was the decision to buy these little bitty wings to get a better food cost ? They are pitiful, and they are your signature menu item. Tell corporate to have more pride in what they are serving, they used to be great. Hooters used to be so much better, money must be really tight these days. My husband and I come to this Hooters fairly often and they have their good and and bad days just like everywhere else. They do seem to have a large staff turnover with the long hours, crowds and hard work aside from dealing with customers I understand why. Other than that the food is usually fresh and the beer cold. Same experience as mentioned by James W. The food and service are good one visit and horrible the next. We go to this Hooters a couple of times a month (my husband likes bar food) and rarely get the same quality. I am a picky eater and struggle finding something I like so when I do I order it again. The first time I had the Fish and Chips it was good and second time the fish was so greasy that I had to blot the grease off the fish. The third time 11/10/2019 the food was so gross I had to write this review. I got 4 blobs of old grease tasting batter with a small piece of fish in it and old barely warm curly fries. The Buffalo shrimp was excellent and the chicken bites were delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who really wants to eat some great wings. For one this restaurant is erroneously titled on UberEats as Hootie's Burger Bar. I typically don't like supporting chain restaurants over local ones so I was very upset when I received a takeout order from Hooters. I wouldn't have ordered food from here if I knew it was Hooters. As for the over priced burgers... I thought Hooters is supposed to make decent burgers and fries. The blue cheese burger was burnt and my mushroom burger was way overdone and dry. Would not recommend spending money here as the food is not worth it. I could have spent less for a better burger at McDonald's. read more

Hopefully upper management reads this. During our recent visit we were educated on the new "policy" which regulates your paying customers to adhere to the rules. Paying customers, are being told how much of a certain size beer, etc.. they are allowed to have in this establishment. This isn't because the customer is intoxicated. This is just a "power grab" blanket rule, and it is completely ridiculous. We are adult, paying customers. We keep this establishment going. We should not be told how much of what kind and what size we are "allowed" to drink. We have been going for years. If this power grabbing dictator like rule remains in place then we will never go back. ever. I visited with my husband and 2 daughters. I orders 10 wings and crab legs. He ordered fish and chips. My daughter ordered a hamburger and the other ordered 6 wings and fries. The total was 116.71 and when I say I was dissatisfied and disappointed with hooters. It took over 25 minutes for food to come out mind you the place was not busy maybe like 3 ppl at the bar and only like 1 table on the floor. We assumed that our food was going to be fresh because it was so dead and food was taking long. Our food was lukewarm. Wings were over sauced and cold. The meat on the hamburgers was somewhat burnt and dry as hell. The fish and chips were light colored as if they had not been cooked to long. Stopped in here while in SA on business. Address is different than what Yelp has but was easy to find. So I rate chains against their standard, and this one is very good. Food was excellent and what I would expect and I like the smoked wings - try to keep the calories down. Ate at breakfast he bar and had a cocktail for an appetizer. I prefer the fried pickles, but don't know if anyway to cut the calories from them, so whisky n water was option 2. Service was very good. Drink was just right and wings were perfect. They went from 5 Stars to 1 Star, then back to 4 Stars, but now back to 1 Star. What an aggravating experience. First of all, not to be mean, but Leah has a lot to learn as a waitress. She took my order, Ziegenbock and Pretzels n Cheese. She walked back and forth several times and I'm sitting staring at my beer on the bar ready for pickup. She finally gets it and brings it over. Then the pretzels n cheese come, all is good now. I finished my food and beer, she comes by to see if I need anything else and I explain to her, I need to pay, but I am going to order another drink but pay with another card. She seemed confused. She asked me for the credit card but I haven't seen the bill yet. She brings it to me and I pay. When she returns I said ok, I want the Blackberry Long Island Ice Tea. She said she wasn't sure they had that, I said, it's in the menu. She goes to ask, but doesn't get an answer, then she goes to get a menu to look, and then comes back and says yes they have it. Then she asked, do you want one ? Really ? Yes please. She puts in the order and about 10 minutes later I see the bartender making the drink. The bartender is more busy getting to go orders than making drinks, not good. I finish my drink and then I ordered the Whiskey Long Island Ice Tea. She puts in the order and I wait and wait and wait. After about 15 minutes I see the drink being made at the bar but no Leah. Then I see another waitress pick it up and I'm thinking, finally. She carries it off to another table. So I waited and waited and waited. I saw the manager ? Maybe, he was a short Hispanic guy carrying a notebook around and talking to each waitress about something. Then disappears. After about another 15 minutes of waiting after my drink was served to someone else, Leah comes by and says, you want to order another one ? My empty glass was still sitting on my table. I said, I already ordered another one but it never came. She said, oh, let me check. She comes back and says, they serve it to someone else, duh. I've been watching the show. She puts in another order. Then a couple comes in and the husband is wasted drunk already. They sit at the bar and order drinks. A little while later while I'm still waiting on my drink, the bartender walks by and I told her, this guy came in drunk and you served him a beer, be careful. She said thanks. So now another girl is behind the bar trying to make drinks asking where's this and where's that, which end of the shot glass do I use, and on and on. Now I'm going on almost 30 minutes since I ordered my second drink and the replacement isn't being made yet, why? I don't think Leah turned in another request. The manager comes out again and they're discussing what happened with my drink, then a hot sauce bottle gets dropped and broke so he puts his hands on his head like he's about to loose it. Now I'm at 45 minutes with no drink. I finally see Leah, call her over, and tell her, I need to pay for my drink at go. You'd figure they would comp it but no. My drink was never started. Then I see the bartender serving the drunk guy yet another beer. She's still busy filling pick up orders, so it was a mess to say the least, and a very disorganized operation. The drunk was loud, and obnoxious, and couldn't hardly stand up, and the bartender, the manager, nor any other waitress did anything. I walked in at 7:00 pm and walked out at 10:00 pm. I had pretzels n cheese, a beer, the Blackberry Long Island Ice Tea, and never got my other drink. Management needs to do some serious training, and go around to check on customers. One star was given for two reasons. The food is less than mediocre and the service was terrible. (No wonder there is never a wait at this location) On Mondays they offer all you can eat wings for 14.99. Some friends and I stopped by to take advantage of this deal. Typical Monday, a few patrons but not extremely busy by any means. Carmen was our waitress. At first she started out well coming by frequently and refilling our drinks. She took my wings order and either forgot to put it in or the kitchen was backed up because it took nearly 25 min for 10 wings to come out. On top of that when we got them, they were cold. After that, she stopped coming by the table and only made an appearance when we would flag her down. That's no typo. lf I was maybe drunk or hungover the next morning...at my house this might be acceptable lol. The old fries that came out 10 mins after the cold wings did (mostly crumbs) needed to just be thrown out in the kitchen and not reheated and served to us. Surprisingly disappointing. Upon walking in, we greeted by adorable young ladies with friendly service and quickly took a seat at the bar with Des the bartender . She was sweet and prompt and kept the drinks full and even changed one of the TVs to the game we wanted . The food came out fast and was just as tasty as I remember . Does anyone remember when this location was the Selma jail house and if you were going to San Antonio you made sure you did not speed because it was a speed trap? This is the favorite location of our no name foolish boy, because Sara Hoots worked here and she was a great Green Bay fan as the one with no name is.
