This is the 4th time there. AGAIN... terrible service. Soooo slow. The guy nxt to us came in for a quick bite & beer. Left because his order had not arrived after 30 mins. I ordered an appetizer, took 40 mins and arrived cold. My hubby ordered sliders, came with no cheese, sauce or pickles. When he told the waitress, she gave him pickle spears! Lol... Okay. They're new. But off to a poor start. Like many have been to many Hooters. They've been open about a month was there a typical busy evening no worse than Applebee's or Chili's. Ordered within a few minutes after 35 minutes not even some simple Nacho. Manager of flirting with the girls. When asked about service reply was just were busy. How to review the food but never even got a chance to try it wasn't worth waiting around definitely need a new manager with some better experience and better training for staff. I've visited a lot of Hooters all over the US... we've been passing up on stopping here due to the poor ratings... but I had a real craving for it and thought I'd give it a try. It's a very nice building; open, comfortable, and CLEAN!!! We sat at the bar and were pleasantly surprised to have been approached immediately with a smile and greeting... we had our drinks and appetizer order in the system in less than 3 minutes of our butts hitting the stool. Very attentive bartender and the food was out incredibly fast. It was all cooked perfectly... not sitting in grease, not cold, chicken was perfectly juicy and coated with our favorite sauce (which I would have to recommend the new smoked wings in habanero dry rub). Refill on drinks before we were even close to the bottom of our cups. Great, genuine conversation from bartender with an amazing personality to go with... treated both me and my husband like family!! I most definitely won't skip out on this hooters next time we're in the area. Thanks so much!!! read more

Gave them a second chance today. The service was quick to begin with, but it went downhill fast. My husband ordered 10 smoked wings, I ordered 7 boneless and we were splitting loaded fries. We waited 30 minutes for the food to come out. His wings were still red at the bone. He asked for them to be cooked more. We waited for another 45 minutes for the Hooter girl to come back and say they were out of smoked wings. Not can I get you anything else or have the manager come talk to us. She brought the check and they didn't charge us for his wings, but they should have comped all the food for the miserable dining experience. We won't be back. Stefanos wings are just as good and they always fix a problem. read more

THIRD TIME giving this Harlingen Hooters a try!!! Over all terrible customer service, Drinks alone took 25 minutes, Food took another 45 minutes for my husband and I alone!!! Went on a very slow night my food took forever, waitress never brought my husband his tall beer, when I asked her about it she rudely said that they ran out of the beer on tap and laughed. Tried getting help from another girl waitress's and they would just ignore us and walk right by. My fries were soggy, terrible service. Not to mention it wasn't even busy. Food. . . .when we got it was okay, but poor experience. Came with 11 people when they weren't very busy. First thing, told they DONT HAVE MENU's! HAVE to use phones. Not everyone had a phone and waitress tried to find it on hers for us to use. She couldn't find it. Many in the group suggested going elsewhere. Then found that the online menu doesn't have prices. During this time of cost increases, who knows what we were obligating ourselves to pay. They need SOME kind of food menu, even just a photocopied paper, or . . . with all the tv's, put the menu on one that people could go and look at, if they so need/choose. Meals came sporadically, leaving 2 people (us) waiting so long others were almost finished eating by the time ours came. Then, upon checking our bill, found that it had errors (charged for things not requested and/or ordered) and had to be corrected. Until we hear that improvements have been made, won't be back. read more

By far the WORST place we have ever been to. 15 minutes until we were greeted at the table, 30 minutes for cheese sticks and fried pickles, which were cold, another 20 minutes for bottle beers. Oh, and not to mention there were roaches infested in the napkin holder and inside of the ketchup. We asked to speak with the manager and kept getting the run around claiming they were "busy" only to see the managers sitting down and eating. Nobody seems to care about their job here, every girl on their phone, every manager on their phone, just an absolute joke. We were promised a discount but just paid the exact amount and left. We did not want to waste anymore time in that god forsaken place. Don't understand how this place is still open. It needs a complete 360 makeover in the management and service department. Do not waste your money here unless you want cold food, hot beer, horrible customer service and a side of roaches. Never again. read more

Terrible service and even worse food!!! #NeverAgain If you want good wings drive out to Buffalo Wings & Rings instead! The buffalo chicken salad was just a small bowl of iceberg lettuce with big chunks of raw white onions and super salty grilled (frozen) chicken chunks (with NO wing sauce on them). This is just ridiculous. I'd give 0 stars if I could. So when we get there we are waiting for 15 minutes before our waitress comes to greet us. She takes our drink order and brings them out then takes our food order and we don't see her again. We have different people giving us service. Then once we pay, I ask if they offer military by any chance and they do, I don't even think she applied it. I paid in cash and I paid almost 10$ over the bill to make sure it covered it, she never brought me my change or reciept. She literally just kept it for herself. Who does that?! Then I call the assistant manager to complain and that didn't do anything. Our waitress was literally just sitting at a table with her friends the entire time. Don't go here. If you do, ask for a server that isn't Rebecca. That's all. read more

Nice location and easy access to the place. Customer service very poor. Just to be seated it took about 20 mins and that's a slow night. I remember the one in Brownsville and it ended up closing because it lost lots of its business due to poor customer service. So I asked the manager why it took so long to be seated. His explanation was to give the kitchen a break and spread the customers out. This was total bull because the employees were running around lost. I guess it's back to Buffalo Wild Wings. I love hooters but the one in Harlingen is the worst one I've been too. read more

Wow! Came in from out of town and thought I would check out the world famous "Hooters"! Had to seat ourselves and waited for the waitress to come take our order. No one ever came. Then when finally someone did come she made a face that told us she couldn't be bothered. So we got up and left. I hope someone in corporate reads it and gets their staff to change their bad attitudes. What makes it worse is that there were more servers than customers. read more

Not sure what has happened to Hooters. The girls are average looking, some would have never been hired in the old days. No customwr service. Then you have the daytime bartender who is annoying as hell ans blasts the music as if she was in a club. This place néeds a do over with new management and staff. read more

Don't like doing this but its for there own good. I hope ownership read this. Once I walked in I knew this was going to be a disaster, we walked in with someone at the door not even guiding us to our table and not taking our drinks down. Came here with a group of my employees that I was paying for on the company account. My guys beers were waiting at the bars 30 + min! I came in spending 500.00 for no reason.. I don't blame the employees. Management really needs to step it up here. This location could be a gold mine if they realized it. read more

We are currently living in extended stay up the street from this location. Tonight was our second and last time visiting. The first time we went was on a weekend night and though we had 2 servers (one was a trainee), we experienced delays in service. At one point, the trainer sat at the bar with another customer while the trainee was nowhere to be found. The food was average. The real disappointment here is the cocktails. They contain hardly any alcohol. We tried a few different drinks on the first night and none of them tasted alcoholic. Tonight, we ate dinner next door and stopped in for some cocktails. I had a top shelf margarita that had almost no liquor. It tasted like lemonade. I had a few shots and left. Again the server disappeared for long stretches of time. This was a weekday evening. I'm done here. Overpriced for mediocre food and weak cocktails. read more

Great customer service by Amethyst she was polite and prompt on her service definitely a satisfied customer there, however the kitchen might need get some improvement ordered a wing sampler with two orders of wings and one of shrimp the shrimp felt undercooked and tasted funny the wings didn't taste under cooked but the taste was off a little bland on the boneless wings I wanted the wings bbq flavored and I got bbq flavored wings alright and bbq flavored fried shrimp too didn't like that very much was not aware that when I picked bbq they were going to put it on everything but other than that it was pretty good... read more

Was traveling from Houston and passed on my way home. It took 15 minutes before they took my order. I waited another fifteen minutes and still no beverage. Finally the food arrived and still no beverage. The manaager happened to be walking by and asked. After another ten minutes he came back with an excuse about the beverage, but still no beverage. As he walked away I looked down to notice the wing I was eating was blood red in the center. I called him back and showed him the wing and he apologized (for serving me half cooked chicken). I asked for the check so I could leave and showed him the plates with several red chicken bones. He brought me the check and charged me for the half cooked meal but was nice enough to credit me for the beverage (remember I never got the beverage). I complained to corporate and the company ignored me. I complained again higher up, and they ignored me even more. Hey! Great place to be ignored, drink imaginary beverages that the manager will credit you for free (You never actually get a beverage), and get to pay to eat half-cooked chicken. Hope you don't get sick. On the positive, this is Hooters' largest restaurant design with elevated atrium ceiling, lots of natural lighting, more flat panel TVs than any place in the Rio Grande Valley, and largest Big Screen in the region. The oysters are amazingly large and meaty. Their signature wings, however, which should be their primary draw -- are average to poor. The wings are scrawny, lack meat, tough and dry, and on this night, were overcooked to nearly burnt. Cook needs major re-training. Bar staff can be nice when business is slow. But don't go on a Friday or Saturday night unless you have a big party. The servers behind the bar will serve totally out of order based on the size of the party and the tip they are after versus trying to serve everyone fairly and consistently. Be prepared to be ignored and treated "back of bus" if you go on a busy night either alone or with small party. Bar staff needs better training and management. read more
