My experience at Hooters in Burlington, North Carolina, was truly one of those moments. While traveling out of town, it's always nice to find a place where you can feel comfortable, welcomed, and genuinely taken care of. From the moment I walked in, that's exactly how I felt. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jayden behind the bar, Manager A.J., and my amazing waiter, Kaley, and these three individuals made such an impression on me that I had to take the time to give them their flowers while they can smell them. The customer service was PHENOMENAL. Every question I had was answered. They were patient, attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, they genuinely cared about making sure I was enjoying myself. Nothing felt rushed or forced. It felt like they truly wanted me to have a great experience. My food was hot and fresh 20/10, my drinks were an 20/10, and I was kept informed throughout my entire visit. There were no long wait times, no issues, no discrepancies, no setbacks, and absolutely nothing that took away from my experience. Everything was simply handled the way customer service should be. And that means something to me. In a world where good customer service can sometimes be difficult to find, these three reminded me that there are still people who take pride in what they do. They didn't just serve me -- they made me feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued as a customer. That kind of service stays with you. This is a good example of where I wish I could do no stars.... First off ... everyone here comes across like they don't want to be here. Server had a don't care attitude. The food was bad.... Wings were soggy.. cold.... Sauce wasn't right. Drinks were terrible... last round of drinks we had, they literally brought out the wrong drink. Last call had happened and I had my check. I just wanted to swap my drink for the actual one. The server was "like totally" unable to do it. I called for the manager, voiced my complaints... he said "your just gonna have to take it" "nothin I can do" " I suggest you complain or fill out the survey" - then walked away... Firstly I had people with me that were local, never been to a Hooters, being from Florida I figured it would be a good spot, pretty reliable where I'm from..... wrong. They probably ain't coming back.... Secondly I used to live across the street from the original hooters for several years, not to mention lunch at least twice a week for an untold number of years. Literally been in these restaurants 1000's of times.... This place needs some colonel sanders action and just go in and fire everyone. So this is not the first time I have had issues with this restaurant but I continue to give them a chance. A few months ago I order a pizza by delivery. My pizza was not correct. I was told I had to come pick up the new order because the driver was unavailable. I even left a tip on the online order. Today I ordered a pizza. It never came. After over an hour I decided to call I was told the pizza was canceled and that they driver crashed earlier in the day and they did not have another one. They stated they called me nine times. I explained I did not receive a call or email and they continued to say "my man the order been canceled." They didn't offer anything for the mishap and did not verify the number they called stating "my man the order been cancelled." Been coming here about once a month for several months with a friend of mine. Every visit has been great, except for the last, when we were told by our waitress that because we were white, we were Trump-supporting racists who wanted to keep black people oppressed. Yip, not kidding. And if you haven't guessed, our waitress was black (but that only seemed to be a problem for her, not us). When we arrived, we each ordered a drink, as usual, before we ordered our wings. The waitress stopped and chatted with us while we were having our drinks, as is typical. However, this time things went south fast. Here's a rundown of what transpired: The waitress said she was in college and it was too expensive, so she wanted Bernie Sanders to be president since she was a socialist and wanted free education. She also said she wanted to tax rich people and corporations more. I thought this was a great opportunity to explain that taxes to a corporation are passed through as an expense to their customers, so those $10 wings might instead be $11, or instead of her working 30 hours per week she would only work 25. This is where it got really interesting. Somehow, she segued from that information to saying that us, being white, would not be able to understand her troubles as "a young woman of color". I asked what that had to do with the cost of college and taxing corporations, and she replied, again, that we would not understand because of our "white privilege" and that we never knew what it was like to struggle. We were in shock, and explained that neither of our wives were white, and we came from very poor backgrounds, so we did know struggle, and were certainly not racists. She said it wasn't the same, and that with Trump being the President, he was leading all white people to be racists, and she "could tell" when she serves her customers who are white. She said she could "feel" them looking at her with hate. By this time, we were pretty upset, being called racists, and not knowing anything but "privilege". She continued, saying that Obama was the best President the country ever had, and we could not understand that either, again, because of our privilege, and being racists since we were white and all whites, because of Trump, are racists. She also said that since our wives were Asian, not black, they "didn't count" because they were were not actually minorities, and that only blacks were minorities and understood "the struggle". We kept our composure, got our check (thankfully we hadn't ordered food yet), paid and left. We headed directly for Hooters in Greensboro, where we had a wonderful time (as we always had before in Burlington). And, whattaya know, our waitress was black, was awesome, and got a really big tip which we had always left before in Burlington. We will never go back to the Burlington location, and I advice anyone else from going there as well. Such a shame they employee an open racist. read more

Went here on a Thursday afternoon around 3pm. It was 3 of us for an early dinner. We were seated quickly but thats all that was quick. There were only 5 other tables and they were 1 and 2 top tables. So not busy at all. We waited several minutes for server to come to our table to greet us. When she finally did arrive i asked for a kids menu. Another several minutes went by and i have watched her walk all over laughing and talking to other employees still waiting on this menu. So I'm a very big fan of hooters. I come to this location literally all the time for fresh seafood & great wings. They also make very good alcoholic drinks as well. Within the past three years, I've never had an issue with any of the food or servers here. Monday is great because they have AYCE wings. I am by no means a Hooters regular, but every now and then I will get a hankering to visit one, especially if I am in the area. I had been to this location before and then revisited again lately, and I have to say it is one of the nicer Hooters I have been to. It's fairly new, has a lot of open tables (as opposed to booths), a large bar area, and plenty of tv's throughout for sports viewing. The Hooters girls are nice (and nice to look at) and give you prompt, friendly service. The customer base is pretty much "good ole' boys", but this is a Hooters...in Burlington NC..so that should be expected. I do agree with the other reviewer that they would benefit from an outdoor area. That would definitely bring all the boys to the yard. This review covers previous visits made on return trips to Raleigh before I was an active Yelper. This location is a beacon to travelers on I-40. It is situated a good bit above the highway with plenty of large signage but once you see it and decide to go you had best get off the highway immediately or you'll have to do some backtracking to get there. Every visit I have made there covers a road trip out of town or coming back into Raleigh. My very first visit was with a girlfriend at the time who suggested it knowing my love for Hooters. I saw a lovely young woman wearing a white shirt and black shorts... at Hooters?... so I asked her about it. Yup, her first day on the job as a hostess. And sure enough today she is still there and a Corporate Trainer no less. If you stop in and she's there ask for Kelly F. Tell her I sent you. She's just that awesome. This store looks nearly new. Maintenance and cleanliness are absolutely on point. The booths look great and the bar is immaculate. Not much dining area outside but a few spots do allow you to sit and watch the traffic flow by. The restroom has been clean every time I have been in there but one time and I reason this to be because of the special sports events going on in which the store was packed for. There is adequate hotel accomodations nearby if you are on a road trip and want to stay. Or if you're just looking for a place to crash after a few too many Big Daddy's of your favorite draft beer. As this location is right off the highway you can expect to get cut off early if your bartender or manager feels that you might get on the road right after. They're just doing the right thing. Overall this is a good store. Definitely worth a pit stop if only for an appetizer and some sweet tea (as I'm oft to get on a road trip). Happy motoring! read more
