On March 30th I emailed Furniture Fix with photos of a dresser that I was interested in having…read morerefinished. After a week and a half and I had not received a reply, I was looking on their website and found a form that you could use to submit your contact information, basic request and photos. I submitted the info and a couple of weeks later, still no response. I then called them. I spoke with a woman and she found my original email and asked if they could have a chance to review it and call me back. I said no problem, it is now May 15th (a couple of weeks since I spoke with her) and I still have not heard back from them. I am not in a hurry for this project and if they were short staffed I wouldn't have minded waiting until they had availability, but I don't understand the total lack of response.

Tracy in sales was very helpful when there was a hiccup after my original sales contact resigned. She replied promptly, always provided updates when promised and highly contributed to a successful installation.

When we first ordered the custom shades for our home (close to $30k), we were very happy. Sales…read moreprocess was very good, initially. When installation was done, several shades were not done correctly and required a personal visit from upper management to agree to reorder the right size. We purchased a second home and used Zingas again. This time, it was a color issue. Again, it took MANY calls, emails, etc to get someone to take a look and realize the color was wrong! They did ultimately reorder them, but the process was terrible, frustrating, etc. Since then, we have been happy with the shades, including many motorized shades. The biggest issue now is the service process. It is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with anyone. Requiring customers to do all the paperwork online, and then wait until its convenient for them to reply is awful. I'm not sure what happened, but not having a live person answer the phone for service is a huge mistake. I cannot recommend them any longer.

I was referred to CMH Builders/Cherished Woodcraft from another company I was doing business with…read morein the area as I am new to Indiana from moving from out of state recently. Initially, my contact with the representative Todd Lipking was great and the communication was quick and responsive. Upon signing a Letter of Engagement and giving a deposit, stories changed, communication became spotty at best, and multiple dates of promise for scope of work and contracts being provided were broken. The date promised in the Letter of Engagement was broken by the company by almost 2.5 weeks or 11 business days. Multiple attempts at communication were not returned and finally was reached out to after being 'forgotten about.' The reviews and pictures of the work on Google do look good, and hopefully this is a one off for the company, but I would highly advise caution in dealing with a company that practices business like this especially when projects are of the magnitude and cost they are for custom built-ins and the like.

in short, window makeover windows fail after 5 years…read more well, it appears that window makeover isn't any better than any other transient window company. i have had window makeover repair and replace many of my windows over the past five years and the first window that i had replaced now is rotten. and window makeover is standing by their 5 year warranty and not fixing or replacing the window. Exactly at 5 years the window needs to replaced. Also all of the repaired or replaced windows will probably need to be replaced as the windows get to be 5 years old. Also don't count on getting records or proof of purchase from window make over because they have changed software and they don't have old installations.
