Very poor customer service. They installed my outdoor retractable awning in November and I haven't used it until now. It won't work. Customer service is atrocious. I called the local telephone number to get some information about price ranges and power requirement. There is no utility to schedule an in home consultation if the price is out of range. And in planning construction, it is important to know power requirements and location before installation. The customer service person at the other end of the line could not answer questions. All she could do is schedule appointments. I can't begin to express my dissatisfaction with Zingas, We had another company quote and I wish we had gone with them. The salesman was nice, seemed knowledgable, but after giving him a check for over 1,000 and signing a contract, that is where things go wrong. He promised a 6 week till installation which would have been early December. My check wasn't cashed for 11 days so I called to inquire. It was lost. They finally located it and placed the order, Now they are saying that installation will be in January. Great customer service! During the appointment Morgan helped me think through options for my window coverings. 5 stars - Consultation. I shared what my priorities were in window coverings and he asked great follow up questions. He answered all the questions I had prepared too, showed me sample window coverings to help me decide, and he had color options too. He even held up a sample cellular shade to the window so I could see how much light would filter through it on a sunny day. Very, Very Bad customer service. We ordered 2 screens, and it took almost 7 months to get them installed. They sent 6 different crews out to our house6 times to resolve the problems. Parts were missing 3 different times, and some installers were not fixing the issues correctly and were jerry rigging it. Really good experience with Zinga's. Erica came to our new home and spent a ton of time showing samples and explaining features so we could get exactly what we wanted. The delivery and install was almost exactly as they projected (longer than we wanted to wait, but it's understandable considering everything is custom). Ronnie and CJ did a great job with the install. The only minor issue was a couple shades didn't quite fit, but the replacement shades were rush ordered and then CJ came back to finish the job. Zingas website promises A "lifetime" warranty. Well wish they would prove it. After multiple attempts to contact them there has been no response. Be warned that if you use the live chat, you will be greeted with a bot. It just apologizes for everything and then asks you to call a phone number where after mashing a bunch of menu choices you are asked to text a support number with a picture. If you text the picture you will get another text that the picture was not received and to go online to complete a repair form. ( where it all started ). We have yet to receive a call or follow up after a month or two of trying. All i want is the parts. So if you choose Zinga's be prepared to never have your product repaired. We used Zinga's 4 times over the course of 6 years. It was a continual decline in service, with the last purchase being a pathetic experience in customer service. We spent a good deal of money to get motorized blinds in a 2 story room. During the sales process we were told the battery would last a year. Despite normal usage, they ran out in just a couple of months, which seemed to be a warranty issue. Zinga's originally refused to come out stating that we had to prove there was a problem that was non battery charge related. Ultimately they came out and confirmed it was the charge, which lead to the question of "did you charge them prior to installation?". They confirmed that it was possible for installation to occur without a full charge. Who does that and then refuses to service? Amazingly, the sales man even followed up to confirm what occurred. He offered nothing other than "thanks for letting me know, I told operations to ensure they charge before install". Not even an apology was given. Even after we got them charged by other means, we get at most 4 months. So what we have is blinds that are annoying to maintain and just remain in closed position at all times. While this occurred, we noted that the majority of our blinds purchased starting in 2014 have started to fail. Zinga's says they offer lifetime warranty. Well sure they do, if you pay a $100+ fee for processing. Oh, and that's not advanced replacement. You go without blinds while they get repaired. In summary, go elsewhere and don't use this frustrating company. read more
