Shrimp lo mein
Jane M.

Really great Chinese food! Pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality Recommend the shrimp lo mein!

Sesame chicken, too many small pieces of fried batter. Give me some chicken!

So I called ahead for takeout and the food was ready at my pickup time. I've had great Chinese food and this place is ok maybe just mediocre at best. Something different but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here more than once per year!

After the fact!!! We eat like there was no tomorrow...

We were a group of 14 - they did an amazing job in taking care of us! We had 2 sets of 6 plates... and was plenty...

Vegetable Lo Mein
Nancy H.

Wonderful Asian food! I had the vegetable lo mein. It came with a lot of fresh vegetable in it, and sides were rice, soup and egg roll. Great egg drop soup. Husband got the spicy beef (I can't spell schuswan ), which he liked. Exterior of building is not impressive but food is outstanding! It is next to the highway and a large rest stop where we walked the dog, so it is an easy place to get off and on the highway. Wish we lived closer to this gem!

Kung Pao Shrimp

Surprisingly good. Don't let exterior put you off. Shrimp Kung Pao had fresh zucchini in addition to the usual veggies (its early June so that is in season now) which made it a fresh take on a classic for me. Friendly waitress.

Awesome. Just passing through or I'd be back for lunch tomorrow. Great presentation and amazing food.

The service was good and fast. Seemed like it took less than 5 min for the food to be served. Chicken lo mein was fresh and tasty.

After a trip to Rifle Falls State Park I stopped at Shanghai Garden for an early dinner. The wait staff was awesome, very attentive and helpful. Very prompt with beverage refills. I enjoyed hot and sour soup, and it's among the best I've ever had anywhere. The cream cheese wontons were very good, too. But the icing on the cake, so to speak, was the orange beef. I'm a big fan of orange beef and have tried it at restaurants all over the world. Shanghai Garden's orange beef is the BEST I'VE EVER HAD. The beef was fried perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. This is a very hard dish to prepare correctly. Previously, the best I had ever had was in New York City at a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant off Broadway. And theirs was tangerine beef, but close enough for comparison. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend this great little gem in Rifle, Colorado.

The server was fantastic & the food was amazing. At time to receive the check, I gave the server the AARP coupon to show his manager Joe. After a few minutes, the server returned asking to see my AARP card, which I provided the digital card from the app. After a few minutes the server came back and told me he would not honor the discount because he did not set it up. I asked to speak with the manager. The manager wanted me to come to the front & I purposefully wanted to remain seated & asked him to come speak with me. I introduced myself & shook his hand. I then explained it was better to honor the discount since it would cost his company more in lost revenue by fighting me. In less than one minute of shaking my hand, Joe backed away & began yelling that I was threatening him victimizing himself. The video begins here. Joe refused to honor the coupon. I left cash for the server. When I paid with the server, I calculated the 25% off and deducted it from my payment. The server kindly apologized & accepted payment & I left. Joe is obviously ill prepared to manage anything. Great food, great servers, but until Joe is no longer a manager, please reconsider patronizing China Town. Thank you!

The service has been excellent and exceeded my expectations every time. The waiters and waitresses go out of their way to make me and other patrons feel welcome and special. Today I tried the green curry for the first time. The flavors were complex and wonderful and melted together in my mouth. It was a very generous portion, even though it was a lunch portion. The sushi was impeccably made. One of my favorite things on the menu is the Tom Kha Gai soup. I recommended it to three other people and they all agreed it was some of the most delicious soup they had ever eaten. Just the right blend of flavors and spices. Absolutely incredible. Worth going to the restaurant just to get the soup! The ambience is cozy and nice and not overcrowded. The prices are reasonable, especially for lunch. You receive such large portions! Zheng Asian Bistro is my number one favorite restaurant in Glenwood Springs.
