Yes, it's a little older of an establishment, but it's comfortable. And they FEED you. Portions are generous to say the least.

I ordered the Beef and Green Beans with Steamed Rice as a take out meal. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Rice. We ate those for our breakfasts. The day before we here here as well. The service both times was very good. I was given water when I sat down at the booth on the first day. Schmoopie says "This place is hard to find at night when driving if you don't know where it is." It wasn't where I thought it was on the highway... that's why. The restaurant bathroom had soap and the paper towel machine worked. There is a little problem with some pprts of the older carpet.... it leads to the restaurant... there is a sign up about Wet Floor there. I was told the wait would be about 10 minutes. That was about right. I recommend bringing your appetite. read more

We dined in (not take out) in the nostalgic vintage restaurant that looks like a step back in time. Pretty much exactly what you'd expect: greasy classic Chinese/American with HUGE portions (can easily make 3 meals from one of their plates). We tried the General Tso pork, Mu Shu Pork, chicken chow mein and Sweet and Sour Chicken. Wasn't particularly impressed with anything but nothing tasted bad (except for the sauce that came with the Mu Shu Pork, it was like concentrated oyster sauce just way too overpowering even w/ just a little). The chow mein wasn't very good, noodles kinda soggy and not a lot of flavor or chicken. The General Tso was probly my favorite, but it's usually my go to anyway. But at about $14ish for a plate, very reasonably priced, and I still had enough for 2 more feasts. read more

Wow! I was telling my kids that it doesn't have to be a fine dining restaurant to get five stars. I know, it seems weird to give 5 stars to a little Chinese-American restaurant, the kind that I usually avoid, however, kids were craving American Chinese and for the record, this place hit the spot! Firstly, so amazed at the super low prices, asked if it was lunch prices, but no it was a dinner price. I paid $6.50 for cup of egg drop soup, sweet and sour chicken and fried shrimp! Husband got a $10.75 combo meal with cashew chicken (spicy with zucchini), pork fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and sliced pork. Orange chicken entree was $10.25 and pleasantly spicy! Ate here frequently a few years back; I'd recently heard positive Hong Kong reviews. I had an early dinner at Hong Kong last night and can only say it was extremely disappointing...Egg Foo Young came with a heavy brown gravy (like you would find on Chicken Fried Steak). I've always had this dish with a light sauce not a heavy gravy. We ordered Garlic Chicken to take home, it was not edible. I also Ordered Winton Soup, broth was ok but I didn't finish even 1 wonton, the filling was not pleasant. I can say the young man who took care of us was delightful, sadly i wont be back. read more

Trying new Chinese restaurants in the area and this one was next. We went for lunch, the place had a couple 9f booths filled but was not busy. We were seated and given a LARGE menu,in fact it ,was an actual book! We were served water my wife got ice but I didn't? We were not offered any beverages when we ordered. We ordered some classic combos and we're excited to see egg foo young included. The egg foo young was great old school home made with the right amount of sauce, the rest of the meal was unimpressive, dry fried rice,bland sesame chicken and chowmain also the bbq pork was dry and bland also. Very friendly staff, and super thoughtful touches. Our takeout order even came with oolong tea bags! That made my heart happy. You get SO much food! Seriously! We were shocked to our core. I am in love with the pork fried rice, and the general tsao chicken was particularly yummy. Obviously it isn't a fine dining restaurant so don't expect it to be gourmet but it is good and definitely hit the spot for Chinese food when you're surrounded by fish n' chips on every corner. The restaurant is cute too, much nicer on the inside. I personally wouldn't consider the food necessarily 5 stars, but the prices, portion size, and service makes it 5 stars. read more

DO NOT JUDGE THIS PLACE BY THE EXTERIOR! With a strong 4 star rating on yelp, we came here for my son's Chinese food craving. However, when we saw the business from the street and then pulled into the parking lot, we started having second thoughts. I am so glad we ended up going inside anyway. All of us had the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice with our meals. The sweet and sour sauce was definitely made in house. The color was a bit different and it had a very fresh, unique taste. The flavor of the ginger really came through in the sauce. The rice was also great. I loved that they didn't have tons of miscellaneous junk in friend rice as most places do. The rice was moist and well flavored. We also really enjoyed our main dishes. The portions were good sizes and the prices were reasonable. The waiter was prompt and efficient. We were all very happy with our food but I did insist on leaving immediately when a gentleman who smelled like rotten fish-guts sat down in the booth next to us I was barely able to keep myself from vomiting so there was no way I was going to be able to finish eating. That is not the fault of the establishment however and they brought us boxes for the food and the check right away. We decided on getting two of the family dinners. The people behind the counter were very patient and very nice. He politely told us the soup didn't come with to-go orders but we can eat it at the restaurant while we wait for our food. That's so kind! The food itself was not bad. First American style Chinese that we tried, being new to the area. The people were nice and accommodating, unfortunately that was the only positive I can say. We ordered three entrees, all of them (orange beef, General Tso's, and sesame chicken) had an off taste, fishy like their fryer oil was going south and it just didn't seem like it was freshly cooked. Holy crap, their orange chicken is the best up here in this neck of the coast. It is always perfectly crisp, hot, and replete with sautéed orange slices (rind on). Their sautéed calamari dishes are also pretty decent. My friend got that while I basked in the glory that was the orange chicken (and I don't say those type of things lightly). Their egg flower soup was also pretty solid. It still retained it's crunchy little celery bits. Service is also attentive and respectful. There when you need them, not there when you don't. My other advice (if you like some spice) is to ask for chili peppers. I'm used to this in my Mongolian BBQ and my orange chicken so I might be biased, but if you a little teary-eyedness in your cuisine, I would highly recommend. read more

Ordered the beef chowmein, combo-fried shrimp with almond chicken and BBQ pork, combo- white rice, orange chicken and sesame chicken. Wouldn't recommend the sesame chicken as it has no sauce and is pretty bland and dry. Almond chicken was the favorite of the family. My 11 yo found the orange chicken too spicy to eat but I enjoyed it. BBQ pork was dry. My 14yo gave the beef chowmein a 3 star rating. (I didn't try it). read more

This place is amazing. Open from 11-11, which if you like to have supper on the Oregon Coast is a plus, since most places roll up at dusk it seems. Great food, cheapest prices around. Do the build your own combo which will feed you and leave enough for a second meal the next day. Family run and very attentive service. We are now regulars and will get Chinese from no other places. All portions are huge, fresh, and even the fried items aren't greasy. We will drive from Manzanita to grab dinner here if that says how worth it the experience is. Their lounge seems to draw a big crowd as well. I see many regulars both dining and in the lounge, so that says something as well. read more

Stopped in out of the blue one day, as we were in town visiting family. The girls working here were so sweet and our food came out promptly. We ordered the lunch specials and seriously there was so much food, we were able to make several meals out of it with our left overs. I would definitely recommend the Chinese food here. It's not really Chinese food but the cook is and probably the owner is. The service was very good and the setting from the 60's with the extra padded seats is nostalgic. If you want a cheap meal that will feed 2 with one order then this is your food, however it has been Americanized to suit everyone's palate except mine of course. read more

Fast and friendly service. Food came out within five minutes of ordering. Only problem with that is, you know most of the food is pre-made. For example, the chicken that is used in the general tso's chicken has already been cooked and cooled in it's batter. When they return it to the hot wok and add the General tso's sauce, it makes like a thin hard candy coating on the outside and you still have soggy batter in the middle.
