Their fries then tasted good as well. This lasted for about 4-5 months. Then, one night we ordered and everything was wrong. Nothing tasted like it did before. The fries were fried in stale grease (can tell by color and taste). We didn't go back. Well, tonight I decided to give them a shot again. Needless to say, it was just as bad as the last time. Fries dark brown and gross. Hotdogs nor the chili tasted like they did when we first found them. No lie, my dog wouldn't eat the hotdog part I NEVER give bad reviews, but with times being harder and food being so expensive, I would hope someone would level with me. I'm not sure if there was an ownership change or food service change. Whatever happened around a year ago was NOT a change for the better.

The amount of okra I got looked a lot more like a single order. Truthfully the small amount of okra was delicious! A five gallon dispenser of supposedly sweat tea was brought out. Customers were immediately complaining about the tea. It was actually sugarless tea. Cookout made an honest mistake. My double burger is getting smaller and smaller by the visit. Cookout doesn't off any senior discounts or military ones either. Because of the reasons listed above, I've decided to not have lunch here for a few weeks. I'll give them time to reset this restaurant.

At least half the times I come here, they're out of something. Today it was fajita veggies, but other visits they've been out of pico de gallo or other basic ingredients. I come from the restaurant industry, so I completely understand that occasionally you run out of something. But when basic, regularly used ingredients are unavailable this often, it feels less like bad luck and more like a recurring prep or inventory-management issue. I shouldn't have to wonder every time I walk into Chipotle whether the ingredients I normally order will actually be available. I'd rather take my business to another location that is better prepared and more consistent.

Having never been I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choices and let my wife order for us while I found a table. The floors were sticky, the table was stick, and some moron was on their phone using speaker phone. My wife ordered two Philly Cheesesteaks making one a 'jumbo' to include onion rings, fries, and a drink. Service was friendly & helpful for us newcomers and the food was delivered quickly by the friendly staff. So as much as I was concerned about sticky floors and all that, the food really was delicious. The cheesesteaks seemed to be more bun than meat, but honestly it was a perfect balance of meat, cheese, grilled onion AND a PERFECTLY crispy AND soft bun. The sandwich truly was magnificent and really well balanced/proportioned. I thought the rings were a bit under cooked, but I was fooled again! Onion was soft, well cooked, and flavorful. Fried were definitely undercooked but I don't generally eat French fries so all good. Cole Slaw was middle of the road. I struggle with a rating but sticky floors, sticky table along with a few environmental things really drag down my overall perception. Friendly/competent staff and an excellent sandwich will hold a steady rating of three. Would I eat there again? It is on of the few unique non-chains in the area and I know what to expect going in. So if I need to stop on the area, I'd more than likely stop again thanks to staff and food!

This is really a two and a half star review but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because they were doing the best they could on the day that I came in that evening. I ordered just a standard #1 for crystals with cheese plain. French fries and drink. One thing I didn't like is the fact they didn't have chili that's one thing I like about Krystal they have great chili I asked a girl to behind the counter she's like we haven't had chili for quite some time but she didn't say if they can get rid of it for good or not or what the deal is but I didn't question it I wasn't in a good mood to begin with. But service can be a little sketchy here depending on the day and the quality of the food could be a little sketchy here depending on the day. The burgers were fresh but they weren't real hot. The fries were okay. Unless I was just parked here for the night sleeping at the circle k in the trucking area I don't think I would risk make a special trip off the interstate just to come in here to eat this one though.
