(3.5 stars) I came for lunch and decided to get wings and salad…read more The salad was a salad, so it was just what I wanted. Nice fresh ingredients. Decent size (though too small for $19, but I digress). And it wasn't too heavily dressed, which I appreciate. I hate it when my salad is absolutely swimming in dressing. The wings were ok. A bit overcooked in my opinion. But they had a nice crunch on the outside...a bit dry on the inside. In my experience, it's hard for a restaurant to get wings right for some reason. But I did enjoy them. $20 for 6 wings is wiiiiild, though. But I'd also say that pricing is on brand for touristy Ocean Drive. Surprisingly, the fries were phenomenal lol thin cut McDonalds-type fries, cooked perfectly with a dusting of seasoning. Nice crunch, soft on the inside, nice and hot. They got the fries exactly how I like them. The service was very friendly and accommodating. From the young lady who sat me to the woman who kept refilling my water and Jacinta, my server--all provided excellent service with a smile. Jacinta has a knack for making you feel at home and loved lol she was great. Kanoli is known for Italian food and ordinarily I'd order based on what a place is known for, but I'm getting over a cold so didn't want cheese or noodles. Yes, there are lots of other options, but I decided to go on the lighter side and not sleep away the whole afternoon Massive plus that you get a 12% discount if you're staying in the hotel it's connected to, Hotel Ocean. Second time coming here and I'll say overall great food and lovely service both times…read more Very chic spot, nice lighting, warm interior design. There are a few downstairs outside wrap around seating available, inside the tables are pretty close together so keep this in mind when reserving or coming during a busy day. This time we sat on the rooftop which is limited but also outside. Under umbrella and the fans made it still enjoyable. Steak croissant sandwich with pesto, provolone, and eggs was delicious. If you like salad, the mixed greens/tomato with house vinaigrette is fresh and tasty so the strawberry salad caught my eye. Their iced caramel macchiato hit the spot and they offer cute latte art that can be photo printed whatever you'd like. Management runs this place well and you can tell by the staff. Carla was delightful, kind and detailed about food order and preference. Food and drinks came in well orchestrated timing and to order. Great experience, will be coming back.

One of favorite touches was being able to have my photo printed on top of the drink that made it extra special love. The breakfast was very filling and the potatoes were tasty. We tried the beignets and unfortunately that was the only thing that didn't wow me compared to the rest of the meal. The only issue was the flies that they have to keep under control. Overall, the excellent service and filling breakfast made a great start to my birthday celebration.

It seemed like the perfect recipe for slow service and a rushed experience. Instead, what followed was quite the opposite. Brian delivered hospitality that was both warm and impressively efficient. Despite the growing crowd, every order arrived promptly and exactly as requested. I found myself here after sleeping in and missing hotel breakfast, with one mission in mind: eggs. The steak and eggs hit the mark beautifully, cooked well and served in a portion generous enough to satisfy any late-morning appetite. Paired with a fresh orange juice and a cortadito, which wasn't even on the menu, credit to Brian for accommodating the request and crafting a surprisingly enjoyable rendition. My mother ordered the scramble, which was equally delicious, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully prepared. The kitchen clearly pays attention to the details. Beyond the food, the café strikes a rare balance: relaxed and welcoming without feeling overrun by tourists. It's conveniently close to the beach yet comfortably removed from the crowded restaurant scene on Ocean Drive. Combined with the generous portions and inviting atmosphere, it feels like the kind of neighborhood spot travelers hope to discover. A special thank you to Brian for the exceptional service and genuine hospitality.

They bill themselves as a sports bar, and maybe that is more the case if you sit inside. We opted to sit out on the sidewalk / patio in front. The inside appeared to be fairly large, so that might be better dining option overall. The 10 or 12 tables they have outside are okay - there is an awning to provide shade and when we visited it was in the evening so heat / sun wasn't a huge issue. However, it got pretty windy outside while we were there. Also, you are technically on the sidewalk, so pedestrians, cyclists, and electric scooter riders zip in between the two rows of tables. None of this was a huge issue, but if you want to have more control over your dining environment, inside might be a better choice. The menu provided quite a variety - sandwiches, a bit of pasta, fish, meat, salads, etc. I think any party would have a good chance of satisfying everyone. My wife opted for fish and I got a burger. We both enjoyed our food and had leftovers as well (which ended up being part of the next night's dinner). They also had a full bar; the drink pricing seemed pretty good given the standards of this area. If you are just looking for a standard (or slightly better) American bar food dinner, this is a solid choice.

Finding a fair, stress-free place to celebrate an intimate birthday in Miami is no easy feat -- no…read moresurprise fees, no parking nightmare, no cake charges. Rum Room checked every box, and I have my friend (and the wonderful John and Adam) to thank for it. I had a 5:30pm reservation and my friends arrived before me. They were welcomed into a classy, living room-like space with comfy chairs and a center table -- exactly the laid-back-yet-chic ambiance I was looking for. They had drinks and ordered a few bites, after all, it was happy hour! When I arrived, we moved to a six-seat table that was perfect for face-to-face conversation. We could have sat outside to watch the Miami sunset, but opted for a cozier indoor spot instead. I ordered my favorite drink, a Manhattan, and John was kind enough to suggest two versions, classic and one made with rum instead of whiskey. The rum version was a surprise hit that everyone had to try. I'm still loyal to the traditional recipe, but it was a fun twist, especially on my birthday! The food was outstanding. Their ceviche had a mysterious sauce that sparked a whole conversation, the truffle fries were perfectly made, and the fish dip nachos served with plantain chips were my personal favorite. They kept our cake refrigerated and helped my friend set up the candles when it was time to sing, such a thoughtful touch. Service was attentive throughout. Water glasses constantly refilled and empty plates promptly cleaned. They also validated our parking, making it just $2/hour at the convention center right across the street. Since the World Cup is happening in Miami, we snap a photo with one of the balls placed in front of the restaurant honoring Algeria. A perfect ending to a perfect night. After all, life is about living and documenting the good moments. Rum Room helped us do exactly that.
