Loved the cute "mile high" packs I found, and ventured toward the back of the store...always drawn to latex clothing items. Then the sales associate told me to check out some of the vibrating adult toys in the store. What a fun selection: pieces that licked, flicked, fiercely vibrated, and even "puffed" air out (if that doesn't make your mind wander...). The two associates told me they have special events where you can try on lingerie and enjoy glasses of bubbly while doing it. I'm going to have to organize a girl night with this option in mind! I have only the best things to say about my experience at this store. I called ahead of time to see if they had the bridal line in my size. The manager, Jenn, was so helpful and offered to put the whole set on hold for me until I went the following week. I told her I was nervous and hadn't tried on lingerie in a store before. She literally went over and beyond to make me feel comfortable and safe. I then went with a friend and Jenn had sets and robes ready for us to try on. She made us feel so comfortable and at home. She brought extra sets and sizes to try on to make sure we both landed on exactly what we wanted! There was one piece sold out except on display at another store. She then went out of her way to have it shipped to her and then she shipped me at home! It all came out soooo perfectly and I am ready for my bridal photoshoot! I would give 5 stars for the girl who helped me make my first purchase, but I'm posting a lower rating because they need to replace the blonde, dehydrated-looking store manager. She's absolutely vile and has 0 class. How they haven't replaced her at this point is beyond me because I've heard multiple horror stories from my girlfriends who have visited the store while she was working (on top of my own distasteful experience with her). She judges anyone who comes into the store based on appearance and will make it known if she doesn't think you belong in there. I've avoided buying anything from here for awhile because of how unpleasant she is. The other store associates need a trip to the chiropractor with the way they're carrying this store on their backs! I forgot to ask for her name, but the girl who helped me out today was really chill, patient, knowledgeable, and pretty i tried on 3 different sets and she made sure to check-in and ask if i needed help putting things on throughout the whole process. She helped me choose between two different style panties for the set i wanted and also advised me on which size to get (the size she suggested for me fit so perfectly). She was thorough in explaining how to place certain straps and make adjustments as well. There was also another girl who was working in the store at the same time; she didn't help me with the purchase but she was still really nice and bubbly. The in person staff seemed really nice and helpful! I received a set as a gift at my bridal shower. Their items are great quality and very nice! The reason for my 1 star: I was referred to the online chat support for help with an exchange was treated very rudely by their service rep Maya. Through the chat I was given short response and tons of attitude. I hope the company does a better job of vetting and training their service reps in the future. I came in to shop for a few sets for an upcoming trip to Las Vegas. The blonde lady working at the front today at 1:30pm was not friendly. She was assisting another customer so I was browsing through the selection. I carefully reached toward the back of a rack to see if my size was available and she stopped assisting her customer to come to me and pretty much scold me. REPEATEDLY said "we'll be right with you to pull your size, ma'am." With her hand up, and repeated herself once again after I continued to look for myself instead of waiting for someone to check for me. Is there a no touch policy for merchandise? Am I a child? I have absolutely adored Honey Birdette and own several sets, but I immediately walked out. Please train the staff to provide welcoming and friendly service. Offer to pull sizes, but in a manner that is presented as help in addition to what I desire. If I want to look at merchandise myself I am free to do so. I don't need to be scolded. Lingerie shopping should be an experience to remember and look forward to, full of comfort and confidence. I want to buy this whole store!! I adore the lace sets, garters and etc. so flattering, fit is perfect and material and colors are so pretty. Sarah helped me find some really beautiful pieces to take home. Service is classy, not pushy or obtrusive. She is very respectful, helpful and honest. This is a seriously incredible store, I'm so happy I went in! I was honestly just browsing, but a collection caught my eye and I had to try them on. The women working there was so sweet and helpful. I didn't feel pressured or rushed, and they had plenty of information and suggestions. I grabbed a few pieces to try and really appreciated the help they gave me with putting them on. Some of the bras were less obvious, so it was good to have a hand! I ended up with two out of the three things I tried on, and I am super excited to wear them for a special occasion. This place is pricey, but that said, I adore the quality. I think it'll be well worth it. To sell high end and very high priced lingerie you would think the customer service would be exceptional but it is absolutely not the case. Unfortunately I had to return a very expensive gift. They wanted to have the same exact card used to make the return. That is not stated anywhere on the receipt. I love Honey Birdette for their high quality and flattering lingerie, but the manager's customer service at this location is terrible (I forgot her name but she is blonde). I came in to return a swim top I purchased online because it was too small for me and it was still within their allotted return policy, but according to her, my order number did not exist in their system despite me pulling up the confirmation email. She kept insisting that my order never existed but that I could still contact customer service and send my item back to the warehouse, but how does that make sense if my order apparently doesn't exist? I wouldn't be guaranteed a refund if I sent an item to a location that had no documentation that I bought the item. And I told her that I was leaving the next day to go on a trip and didn't have time to do the return and that I couldn't wait to mail it out after my trip because it would be past their return policy. I felt like there was something not right with her, so the night day, before my flight, I stopped by again and was fortunate enough to work with another store associate and she found my order and made the return with no issues. When I asked her if there were any complications, she was puzzled because my order was super easy to find and was pulled up right away. Thank you to that helpful woman. Honey Birdette is expensive, but obviously if a person is walking into the store, they're likely going to be a potential customer. I think the manager treated me rudely because she thought I couldn't afford the item and that's why I was returning it, but I had already bought a larger size online before attempting to make the return on the smaller item. And even if I was returning an item because the value didn't seem worth it to me, that's no reason to treat people badly or put them in a position to have to keep a useless $200 swim top. read more

I have loved Honey Birdette for about a year now. Previous to getting with my current boyfriend, I had already collected lots of their pieces and spent a decent amount of money from their website. I had been trying to get a VIP shopping experience for MONTHS. They mostly never called me back, or called me to confirm the day before, but never letting me know I even had an appointment. My boyfriend was finally successful in securing us an appointment several weeks in advance. They had plenty of time and knew what sizes to carry because they called to confirm ahead of time more than a week in advance. They CHOSE not to order XL's from other stores or to make sure to pamper me. I felt like they were mostly straight women playing to men, which is odd for a brand started by a lesbian. When I actually got to the store, they only had one thing in an XL, my size. Mostly everything there was XS or S. I am severely disappointed that was started by a lesbian. Since this store is ran by women, I would expect ya'll to know the average size in the US is a 14, so not everyone is going to be an XS or S. Do we not have equally good money to spend? The entire experience made me feel not good enough and definitely not sexy. I felt fat, ugly and worthless. To make matters worse, the salesgirl kept flirting with my friends and I boyfriends - giving them bourbon and didn't even give either my friend or I champagne. It definitely felt like she was kissing the mens' asses while totally ignoring us women. It's really too bad this is the only store in the bay area. There are many nice lingeries here, i think we took a little long time (10 mins maybe) to decide which ones we should buy. Then one of the associates came over and said, "these are not on sale, it is $80". I dont know why she said that and she didnt even give any colors/size recommendation. I can see price from the tag myself and i know there is no sign of "on sale" tag. Whoever is the manager when reading this post need to train their employees how to do customer services. read more

Apparently this business has been around for years in Australia and decided to share their luxury and exquisite lingerie and adult toys and bondage with the US market. The atmosphere inside is intimate and inviting. The ladies were welcoming and took the time to describe what Honey Birdette is all about. They provide VIP service and private appointments. I was thoroughly impressed of the quality of their products as well as the selection of personal toys and bondage.
