Her booking is flexible, and I am so old school that I absolutely loved that she was available to speak to me on the phone right away when I called. The salon suites were familiar to me; I had been there a couple of times for a favorite coffee shop, so I immediately felt comfortable. Her room was welcoming and warm, including a comfy blanket for when I got cold. Johnyee was kind, gentle, extremely knowledgeable, and assessed that my lashes were done well and we could proceed yay! The experience was all around fantastic, lashes are beautiful and she took the time to go over all the lash care tips I needed. I could tell right away that she loves her craft and cares about the people she serves.

The edging under the brow was not clean, and there were a few random brow hairs that I had to pluck also. She also has a strong hand, I understand you need pressure to get the hair off, but it just wasn't a good service compared to what I've had before. I will try again and maybe go a different day to see if another technician provides me a better experience. She was very nice, and the store is very clean. Just not my cup of tea!

Went in for a brow lamination/ tint AND lash lift/tint…read more They looked great and full when I left.. then, 2 days later, after I washed them, the "lamination" completely disappeared. As if it never happened. Lashes are okay, not great but I can live with them. As for the brows... horrible. I then went in for a micro needling service hours later, it went good & pain was 4/10. Wasn't that red after too. I felt great afterwards. They don't let you choose the serum or ask about your skin concerns. Randomly use whatever they use for everyone. Felt like it was surface level though. Like I could've done the same at home for $230 but do it 40 different times (cause I'd have so much product) I feel like it was sort of a waste of money. Cheap though, you get what you pay for I guess. But as far as the lamination ... horrible. Kind of disappointed.

Where to begin…read more.. Short review: I absolutely love Christi and her AMAZING work. My eyelashes are fabulous and always on point! She is the ONE. Look no further. Long review: The long review is for people like me who weren't aware of the process and what is and is not acceptable or normal when getting eyelashes done. Hopefully this helps save someone out there some grief. First mistake: I started getting my eyelashes done at the same Asian salon that I would get my nails done because my regular technician finally talked me into it. They put some lashes on (the most expensive option) and I liked the bolder look, but most of them would fall out after a week. I'd go back in and they'd rip (literally!) them out with tweezers after applying some gel (that burned so bad) to loosen the glue and then reapply a full set each time. Honestly and unfortunately, I hadn't done enough research to know that this wasn't normal. I was liking the dark, thick lashes and beauty was pain, right? So painfully unaware, I kept going. After a few times, I knew something wasn't right, but they kept telling me it was normal and I saw other ladies getting them done there. Finally, my lashes got so sparse, she couldn't even reapply and told me that my eyes needed a rest. I was horrified. She pulled the remaining lashes off and my eyelids were almost bald. I look back at the situation now and just blame myself for being ignorant, but fortunately learned a good lesson. Then there was Christi: I let my eyelashes rest for almost 2 months and then had an event coming up one weekend that I wanted to look great for. I contemplated lashes again, but thought I'd do some research first (She can be taught!). I found some good reviews for Christi here on Yelp. I called her with a last minute appointment request and she was not bothered at all to fit me in. I was very nervous because of my previous experience, but thought this would be my last go at it. When I showed up at her office, it was so clean and cozy. I was so comfortable and Christi was so sweet. I braced myself, just waiting for the burning glue, but no pain ever came. I was a little confused, but so happy. I was so comfortable, I am pretty sure I fell asleep at one point lol. When she handed me the mirror when she was done, I could have cried (she would have killed me for getting water on them that soon though, haha), they looked so amazing. I have been back every 3 weeks since, always a happy customer. Unfortunately again, I am searching for someone to fill those big shoes in St. Petersburg, as I just moved across the country last week. If I could have convinced Christi to move to FL, I would have packed her up! :'(

When I asked I was told it was her tears of experience, heck okay, what do I know? But it got worse and my lashes started falling out, but I had to stop bc I had nothing left to attach lashes too. Sure she recommended serum and I bought it, but what grew back, she destroyed. I did my research and sure enough it is highly recommended NOT to have group lashes glued to your lashes. I stopped going and waited 6 months before I had something for a true professional like Sexy Lexie Lashes to work with. I still have bald spots even after 6 months, but they are growing back. I just say "Buyer Beware!" Unfortunately single lashes is not what fell out, so I strongly disagree.
