Last time I got extensions done in LA it was sparsly applied and the curl and length were off (not enough curl and too long for my Asian eyes), not to mention she got glue in my eyes and it stung really bad... I found a Groupon for Amy, and although the Groupon price was a little steeper compared to other lash boutiques, the photos on Yelp convinced me she was worth the extra $30+ (regular price is $150 for synthetic and $160 for minx). My experience was very pleasurable. I didn't feel rushed through my appointment; she discussed the various sizes, types, and curls I could use based on my existing lashes- she was very informative. I will be back for a fill, which I believe are $60 for minx ($50 for synthetics). I can't stop peeping at my peepers when I pass a mirror!

I'm going to start by saying I'm never coming back to this place again! The experience was…read moreabsolutely horrific. I literally just wanted a simple fill with a natural-colored polish, and somehow it took almost 4 hours! On top of that, my nails were not shaped correctly, they were all different shapes and lengths, and the polish was applied so poorly. I was so frustrated that I finally told her to stop trying to fix them because it wasn't getting any better and I needed to leave. When I went to pay, the young girl at the counter asked me if I liked my nails. I simply asked her, "If you were me, would you like them?" I mean, honestly, how could anyone be happy with nails that were all different shapes and lengths and had polish applied so unevenly? I was also cut twice around my cuticle area, which made the experience even worse. My bill was already $58, and I was ready to pay and leave. However, she insisted that they fix my nails, so I reluctantly sat back down. They were already in such bad shape that I honestly didn't think there was much they could do. They did end up looking much better than before, although I still wasn't happy with them. I will say that the woman who fixed them was very nice, and I appreciate her attitude. However, I was then charged even MORE money because they said they had to fix my nails! I couldn't believe it. Why should I have to pay extra to correct work that was already poorly done? What a joke. Save your money and don't come here. This was one of the worst nail salon experiences I've ever had, and I definitely will not be returning.

I spent several hours this morning, looking through different nail salons in my area as I just…read moremoved locally. I am extremely picky about my nails and I do not go to any random shop. I settled on this place because they had a great reviews and looking through their photos. I can tell that their nail techs are thorough and detailed. I called this morning, a half hour after they opened and asked if they take walk-ins the woman that I spoke with asked if I could come in right then and I told her I could be there in 15 minutes. She told me OK 15 minutes is fine and I started to get ready and I got a call back from them saying that they couldn't take me right now and would 11:30 AM be better. I said sure that's fine so I hopped in the shower real quick so I could get ready for the day and then go get my nails done since moving has me really stressed out and I could use a pick me up. They called me twice while I was in the shower and the last time told me that if I could come closer to 12 or 1230 and I told them unfortunately no since I have to pick up my child from school and that's too close to the time and I don't want to rush. I told him unfortunately I'll have to cancel the appointment and I won't be able to make it. The woman I was speaking to on the phone, then started saying something about her previous appointment being late and that caught me off guard so I asked her. Why does the previous appointment being late make it so that I don't get my appointment? That's super unprofessional and unfair to me and they should've told the appointment that was late that they're no longer able to service them as they have other appointments coming in. I told her that's completely unfair to me as a customer and I will not be making another appointment with them again. Sorry for any typos or brevity- using talk to text while I get ready to look for a different nail salon.
