Given the complexity of this job, I wanted to make sure it was done right. Communication was excellent. Mauro was able to come by for an estimate within a few days, and from there, his office crew helped me plan and schedule the work. Additionally, they handled the permit and inspection coordination. They were able to schedule the work within two weeks, which was fine given that this wasn't an emergency. For this gas to heat pump conversion, it was necessary to vent both the intake and exhaust. This presents a number of challenges like making vent holes, running ducts, and making sure everything is air tight. Jose and his team were absolutely awesome. They take pride in their work. The team is friendly and patient, and takes the time to break down what they're doing and why, as well as any hiccups and adjustments that have to be made. I cannot tell you how great it is to have a professional you can trust, who also respects you and your property. This was a complex job and they made it look great, fit the space, and work as needed. A plumber isn't something you hope you need very often, but should anything come up, I'll definitely be calling Mauro's Plumbing again.

Jonathan was the fourth plumber, and the only one willing to thoroughly investigate, problem-solve, and see the job through. Where others gave up, Jonathan went above and beyond. His expertise, patience, and honesty solved issues that others and my contractor couldn't resolve. He was available in a time frame that was optimal for us, which I really appreciated. Our top priority projects were a clogged bathroom sink, and a pipe that needed replacing in the garage sink. He did both of those projects in the estimated time, or even a little bit less time. We also wanted the pipes replaced under the kitchen sink, because a previous plumber had put in plastic pipes, which had fallen apart, and were being held together with tape. We thought that would need to be done another day, but he had the pipes in his truck, and quickly replaced the plastic pipes. All of that work took less than two hours, and he had all of the parts he needed with him. The total bill, including parts and labor, was very reasonable. I wanted a second opinion so I contacted Honrath & Stacey. They sent Joey and an assistant, and he said they could make the repairs using parts in the van. Total cost was 1/4 the repair cost quoted by the first guys and it took a little over an hour. H&S charges $189 for the visit, minimum. The first place charged $89. Draw your own conclusions, but I think $89 is a loss-leader price not reflective of actual costs. You get what you pay for
