I recently had my car worked on here, I have an older vehicle which had several problems. The staff was very friendly and the office and waiting area very clean and set up in a way to make your wait comfortable. They looked over my car and got back to me to let me know what they felt needed to be done, and to get approval for the work. After the work was finished, I picked up the vehicle, but was informed that I may need some additional work. I took the car home only to find out there was still an issue. When I called back and spoke with Mike, he was very nice and said he would get the other part ordered right away. Jay offered me a ride home while I waited for the repair to be done. I was pleasantly surprised that they did not charge me for that additional part or labor, especially since they had told me that I would probably need that part in the future. These guys stand behind their work!! I will be using Honest One if I ever need any work done, and I will be telling my friends and family the great service these gentleman provide! I went to Honest-1 for some repair service because my first visit for an oil change, etc. impressed me so much I just wanted to go back and check again that it was for real. IT IS! The personnel in the front office was very friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, informative and with no sales pressure. Plus the service was fast, professional work was done on my car and they gave me a printout of any service needed. NO PRESSURE! All Repairs and maintenance was done in a timely yet affordable fashion. Plus they have a 3 year/36,000 miles Warranty. And by the way, the lobby area can compete with many hotels: Free coffee, free snacks, free Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and clean environment. It is refreshing to take your vehicle to a trustworthy place! Every part was installed correct with good workmanship, quality parts, and diagnostics is excellent. A nice otion: Honest- 1 Auto Care does for you: is to shoot the diagnostics to your SMS messages to scope out in real time. & you can save the diagnostics which includes 1 [services being performed] 2 [passed inspection] 3 [ requires immediate action 4 [ requires future attention] & you can save for further action to look at + put on your web browser on phone, etc, for future reference/s if you wish to get future mechanical work done as well. What a unique experience it is having our cars maintained at Honest-1 in Ormond Beach Florida. Amazingly comfortable lobby, the bathroom is so clean and decorated nicer than many homes. But I like the way when you go in for an oil change, they check everything, show me the results, and make recommendations at to what is really important to address now for safety reasons, soon, or plan for in the future, with absolutely no pressure. I have overheard the counter people giving the same thoughtful advice to other customers while I was quietly waiting and having a cup of coffee from their refreshment station. Seeing how they treat other customers in the same kind manner speaks volumes. Also, it's pretty obvious that everyone working there really enjoys what they are doing and enjoy working with each other. It's a very pleasant atmosphere there, and you get that with great teammates, but it starts at the top with a good boss. read more

I only signed up for YELP just to write this review of the best vehicle repair shop in Central Florida. I went to sears auto and after 3 seconds they told me I needed a whole new radiator and my alternative was to take it home and park it. Me, with no auto experience whatsoever, even knew that couldn't be true. I decided to go to Honest-1 on Nova/Hand in Ormond Beach....so glad I did. They ran the correct test to determine the REAL problem. which was minor and a lot less money. Jay, (I think he goes by Cleveland?) is probably the most professional employee I've ever encountered and that is extremely hard to find anymore. Dennis, (manager I guess) not only did he explain me the process in layman's terms, he was courteous and HONEST. The place is spotless ( I bet jay cleans) A very nice atmosphere. My wife and I were on a Feb 2022 Florida visit and encountered a brake issue while staying in Ormond Beach FL. We used AAA to locate local repair shops and we count ourselves lucky when we found the folks at Honest1 Auto Care - Ormond Beach. The facility was clean and neat. Their people were friendly, professional, and informative. I was actually invited into the work bays and shown how one of my calipers had frozen and was digging grooves into my still mounted rotor. They also found a leaky oil filter (that I had just had changed prior to taking the road trip) that had caused us to lose over 4qts of oil. Mike was extremely accommodating and pleasant to deal with. I had an unusual request to add a component to my truck, and it was a relief to know they DO handle anything since I did not have the tools to do this install. It was a rough start but Mike placed a senior tech on it and the job was done to perfection. The place is always spotless, and if you have to hang for a bit, it is not a bad place to decompress. They do have a couple of really good techs that care and it shows, but I guess everyone needs a chance. I can fully understand it is hard to find qualified personnel in volusia County, or pretty much anywhere now, so some customers have to go with the flow, but Honest 1 will make it right. read more

My car would not start so called AAA. They came out and could not get it started so they recommended towing it to Honest-1. AAA has always been good so went with their advice. Honest-1 did an excellent job for me. They were open on a Sunday and got my car running that day. i was not in the best of moods but the guys were very nice and accommodating. They had free use of a tablet which i had never seen before in a car repair place. I was expecting a huge bill but it was less than $100. They could taken me for a lot. My car wouldn't start one night after I got out of work. I waited till morning and had it towed to Honest 1. They looked at my car and determined that the part that had gone bad was under warranty. The gentleman that helped me, Jeff, gave me all the information that I needed to give to the dealer. Even going as far as to look the information up on the Ford website about the recall and speak to one of his associates to verify. He let me take a picture of the info as well. Liz took the time to explain what had happened and what the vehicle needed to get the job done right. She provided me with a clear estimate with no pressure or trying to upsell on other things. The service on my 23 year old "baby" was impeccable! They were asked to address certain specific issues and additionally to look it over for any potential other issues. They only did service that was absolutely needed. They did not do service on issues they weren't sure about due to a potential contributing problem that was fixed. Preferring to observe rather than do unneeded service. The service was provided 24 hours ahead of projected delivery. I tried Honest-1 Auto Care for the first time based on a friend's suggestion. What a great find! It was a pleasure to meet the owner, Eric, when I dropped my car off. All of the guys at the desk were professional and personable (Mike even set me up in a vacant office so I could return some business calls). They kept me updated throughout the day and got me back on the road. Great experience. They were able to work me in on a Saturday for a much needed brake job when my scheduled mechanic was unavailable. They inspected, showed me what the problem was, how much it would cost to fix it, and how long it would take. Their waiting area is very comfortable and the friendliness of the staff is off the charts! I was brought home by the shuttle, and the shuttle driver was amazing and fun to talk to. We were visiting Ormond Beach and our car had problems. The guys there were great. They stayed late to get our car repaired and the bill was Significantly less than I thought it would be. They took us into the shop and showed us where the brake was leaking fluid. They repaired the section of line that was rusted (too many winters) and the brakes have worked without problem since. They could have taken us to the cleaners but instead they lived up to their name. read more

Everyone is so nice here! Kristine was amazing and so easy to talk to! Brought my car in for a clunking noise by the driver side wheel. I thought it may have been something like a bad wheel bearing. Come to find out it was some loose lugnuts that I didn't tighten up enough. I left with no charge and Kristine asked me to stop by the following week just to double check that the lugnuts are staying tight. Very friendly, walked be through what was wrong with my car and I did not feel pushed to have any of the services done. Really refreshing for that not to happen. I am not a car person, but they did show me on my car what was going on. You could see the wheels wobble. Anyway, I would definitely recommend them to everyone. Friendly and willing to help! On a driving holiday to Daytona Beach when the car key fob stopped working. Went into Honest-1 to see if they could replace the battery (didn't have tools to do it myself). Three friendly men waiting to be of assistance in a clean and bright shop.
