So I had to get my ears re-pierced as they closed up after not wearing earrings regularly since the pandemic. I had gotten my first piercing when I was a teen and it was goofy to begin with - kinda low and on one side a weird angle. Was a little nervous but I'm SO HAPPY I came to Hone Piercing. It's clean and welcoming. Everyone was so friendly and nice. Check in process was so easy. Once you're all checked in and you pick your earrings and I then got taken into a very clean and welcoming room. I did a simple earlobe piercing on both my ears and unfortunately I can't remember the gentleman who did my piercing other than he was gentle, thorough, patient, and explained everything. He explained the process - what he would be doing, what to expect, etc. It didn't hurt AT ALL. Just a little pressure and that was it! I love my septum ! it was super quick process and barely hurt for a second . I forgot the name of the piercer but he was professional and made me aware of my anatomy that could possibly make the piercing look longer on one side . 4.7/5 -- I went on July 30, 2025. Definitely would recommend, just pricer than I expected -- I paid $300 ($150 for mini-curation + 3 earrings + saline cleaning solution + tax). I think they had a special offer (free jewelry) if you're a new client getting a piercing, but didn't seem to apply to mini-curations. I didn't have an appointment and simply googled piercing places near me with high ratings. Went in without a plan, just knew I wanted at least 2 more ear piercings (not on the lobe). I was handed an iPad to fill out paperwork and required a picture of photo ID. They made me feel welcomed. I ended up doing a mini-curation (3 piercings or more) for $150. The piercer, Paul, was very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. I said I'd trust them to pick where to pierce my ear and then they helped me pick appropriate jewelry given my concerns (my very curly hair getting stuck in jewelry). Once we figured all that out and everything was sanitized, I went to a pristinely clean room to get pierced. Paul explained everything and since I've had many piercings, we talked about that and I got new tips and tricks. After marking the locations (hidden helix, flat, & conch), he used a light source to make sure he wouldn't hit any capillaries. He used needles (not guns) and it didn't hurt a bit (but I have a very high pain tolerance). Paul recommended I go back if anything seems off or if I just needed reassurance on the healing process (free of cost). He also recommended I go back in 6-8wks to get the jewelry downsized (I think $5 per piercing?). Very pleased with the experience and results. read more

I have received a total of four piercings from Hone--my helix, rook, stacked lobes, and thirds. Unfortunately, despite having the correct anatomy for a rook piercing, my rook was pierced too deep and far out, which was confirmed by two professional piercers from a different studio when I went for a downsize (after moving out of California). My rook had started to develop an irritation bump despite not sleeping on it and cleaning it very regularly, and the second piercer I consulted told me it would not be an easy piercing to heal and it might not even be viable for healing. I ended up removing the rook, which is quite disappointing considering the price point of Hone and the fact that, if I want to repierce my rook correctly, the scar tissue will make it significantly harder than the first time. I sent Hone an email two weeks ago detailing this entire process, as well as a follow-up one week ago, and I have not received any form of response. I never usually post reviews, but the lack of communication and transparency is frankly concerning coming from such a highly-rated piercing studio. As for my helix, all I can say is that much of the jewelry they offer to pierce the helix with is inappropriate for a new piercing, and in my case, I had to switch out the top-heavy piece I had for a smaller stud because it was pulling my piercing crooked. For my stacked lobes, the piercer at Hone reassured me that they would balance out any crookedness with my lobe piercings, yet, when I consulted a different piercer about this, she informed me that that was not the case and the decision to get stacked lobes exacerbated the issue. Overall, I am very disappointed with my experience at Hone, considering how much time and money I had invested into this piercing shop. I would highly recommend thinking before booking here. I highly value honesty and transparency, something Hone seems to be lacking. I would have much rather had a piercer be upfront with the fact that they incorrectly pierced my rook rather than let me walk out of the shop after paying hundreds of dollars and investing months of aftercare into a futile effort to heal it. I'll note that if Hone finds the time to respond only now, after two weeks of silence and only once a public review appeared, that certainly makes me question how they weigh the safety and happiness of their clients. read more
