We began with a full one-hour consultation in-person, where she really took the time to get to know my ideas. We brainstormed together, looked at different styles, and talked through what I liked and didn't like. I never felt rushed or dismissed--Jayden genuinely listened, which made me feel confident moving forward. I sent my deposit via Zelle at the end of the consult, and everything felt very smooth and organized. My tattoo was done over three sessions, spaced about a month apart to allow proper healing. Jayden made every session comfortable and enjoyable, she's such a joy to be tattooed by. You can truly tell how passionate she is about her art and her style, and it honestly feels special knowing you're giving her the opportunity to tattoo you. This piece ended up being the largest project Jayden has ever taken on, and it was also the biggest piece I've ever gotten, which made the entire experience feel even more special and truly an honor for me. This amazingly talented artist, Airu (@honeybeetattoo_airu) doesn't usually do touch-ups or add color (after so many years later). But considering we went to her to mark the year my healing began, it was extremely important to go back to her to commemorate what I was celebrating that day - the official end to my breast cancer journey. Airu is the first and only female artist that tatted me. She is kind, friendly, meticulous, and clean. When she heard about the reason for doing this, she made the exception to make it happen.
