I hired Steve....on the recommendation of my realtor....to inspect a mobile home. As anyone who is familiar with the structure of a mobile knows, a thorough inspection of the underbelly is crucial. Whether or not Steve did that is questionable. After assuming possession of the home I hired a contractor to install an exterior door. He needed to inspect the structural integrity of the foundation of the home and he saw rot and mould throughout the skirting material. This condition was clearly visible, not hidden by siding, sheathing or any other obstacle. Steve has refused to accept responsibility for his oversight. Necessary repairs will be in the thousands of dollars. I would most definitely not recommend Inspections West. Ann Raisbeck, Chilliwack BC

The job involved building and finishing two new walls with double doors to provide sound-proofing and storage areas in our heritage commercial building. As the work had to be done while I was out of town, and the building otherwise vacant, finding a reputable, reliable, trustworthy and highly professional contractor was absolutely essential. Walter was that contractor. From the start, he treated the job as if it was in his own building. He made valuable suggestions for improvements to my plans, and always offered cost-effective alternatives. He coordinated in my absence with three other contractors I had hired, with no issues whatsoever. Whenever he had concerns in some aspect of the job, he would contact me immediately to provide me with the information I needed to make the decision as to which way to go. He completed the work on time and on budget, and left the work area as clean as when he'd arrived. The result was even better than I expected. I will definitely hire Walter again, and can recommend him without question.

Also note that it was not a phone conversation, it was a response in email. -- Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are sorry to hear this happened. -- We definitely recommend that we hardwire your new device rather than use the receptacle location. -- Our warranty period has expired, for this work and you will be looking at our service call rate for our return. -- The charge will be $225 for the first hour followed by $120 each additional hour and roughly looking at $50 in material if we cannot reuse any of the wiring. -- Do you have the new device on site? I can schedule an electrician to come by tomorrow, Friday February 13th if that works for you. I requested to be reimbursed for the previous work, and while I didn't say as much, I would have accepted less even just a slight discount, or even full price if literally any attempt would have been made at support. I have a condo in downtown Vancouver and due to the recent flooding that happened in my building, I…read morehave decided to upgrade my carpeted areas to engineered hardwood floors. I was recommended by the project manager from the restoration company that was handling the whole repairs to use the flooring company that they chose; which was Mira. Since at the time I didn't have any other flooring companies in mind that I thought I will give them a try. Katrina from Mira called and we set up a time to meet to discuss what I wanted to do. Originally I was thinking of using stone tiling with wood finishing in my place but she said that she was concerned that the strata won't approve it, which I fully understand. She recommended that I looked into vinyl hardwood. I told her that the word "vinyl" sounds quite cheap to me and that my main concern is to add value to my place and that I needed to disclose what kind of flooring I have when I decide to sell my place. Instead of respecting me as a customer, she then started to talk loud, condescending and disrespectful to me and then told me that I didn't understand what I was talking about. She said she installed many vinyl hardwood to her customers who own million-dollar houses; however she failed to realize that in lower mainland especially Vancouver the average detached houses are all worth over a million-dollar and they are old-timers that need lots of TLC. Also I bought and sold lots of real estate in my past and I know for the fact that you need to disclose the kind of flooring in the place for which she insisted that I didn't need to. In my mind, I thought to myself how dishonest and deceiving she was, I felt extremely uncomfortable with her especially her bullying attitudes. Instead of educating me she tried to bullying me into getting something that I didn't want. She also made appointment that she couldn't keep and wouldn't get back to me until I called. Then instead of apologizing, she said that she already told me she couldn't commit to the time when in fact it was the time that she insisted that I made available for her. She also lied about the quote but tried to cover it up by saying that she made a mistake and was confused my suite with a larger suite simply because I caught her misrepresenting the quote, on top of all, the quote was not even done professionally. Instead of laying it down in details, that I repeatedly asked her to do, she gave me the total she would charge me until I asked her further as to how much she was charging me per sq ft. I was so disgusted by her deceiving and unprofessional attitudes that I did not have faith in her to get the job done right. Until now I am still dumb founded by why she couldn't give me a proper detailed quote like all the other companies' do, maybe this is Mira's business practice. Needless to say, I ended up using a much more pricy but excellent professional flooring company that I can 100% trust and relied on getting the job done and was also treated with much respect. Mira might be a good flooring company but it's very unfortunate that they have someone like Katrina representing the company's overall image. I will NEVER EVER use this company, extremely unprofessional and unethical, most of all dishonest.
