Now that they've completed the job at my house, allow me to provide yet another glowing review. Chris and I connected not long after my request for a quote and he came by my house in the next day or so. After spending a little time in the attic, he came down to give a thorough breakdown of what was in the attic and a couple of different paths I could take (e.g. removing all the existing insulation before blowing in the new product; leaving the existing insulation and simply blowing the new stuff over the top of it). He answered every question I asked and had a formal estimate (which included detailed photos of what he saw up in the attic) to me the next day. Chris promised that the team coming to do the install would be top-of-the-line -- and he was right. Dave led the crew, who were very respectful of my house and used floor coverings and booties throughout the installation. They removed all the old insulation and got the new stuff in place in about 3 hours. Dave had me inspect the work before departing and was also happy to answer a couple of follow-up questions I had. I wouldn't hesitate in calling Chris if you're in need of assessing your insulation situation or are ready for a replacement. As many folks on here will attest, you'll get outstanding service from start to finish.

Our house does appear to be better insulated (I.e., energy costs are lower in the summer and winter) and we haven't had any additional leaks or other issues.

He was very talkative and informative, and he went above and beyond in his inspection and communicating what he saw and what possible solutions might be. The problem is that the townhouse my wife and I own does not retain heat very well. As a result, the heater is on all the time during the winter (even at a low temperature setting). To save on electricity, we wanted to see about getting some new insulation. The owner was very honest with us and said that to replace the old insulation would involve a lot of time and money for a hugely invasive process that might not be worth it in the end. He provided with tons of free information and advice to help make the right decision for us and consider alternative options that didn't involve working with his company. We ended up not using his services, but this company comes strongly recommended for their great customer service and the amount of value we got out of their free consultation!

Inspectors spend less than 5 minutes onsite, going through the motions. Barely spraying, not even making an attempt to understand the problem. To boot, their customer service is terrible and due to an error on their own payment system they sent a $100 bill to collections (thankfully I resolved it after days of waiting for a response). When I emailed to cancel my quarterly service I got a very straightforward response, they didn't even attempt to correct the problem or at the very least understand why I was cancelling. Do not use them. If you don't believe me, read the other reviews. I went with another local company for half the price and they have actually made it a point to understand and treat the problem.

And just yesterday (7/5/24) the ceiling in the other room collapsed!! Can't open the door. Drywall and the horrible blown insulation ALL OVER THE ROOM!!! New insurance claim, and now my insurance premiums will probably be unaffordable if they don't drop me altogether. If only Elysian stood by their work, warranty or not, and if only they cared about very valid concerns expressed by past clients, I wouldn't have all this to deal with now. Again: CONSUMER BEWARE!

HVAC Direct was the first company I contacted and Scott came within an hour of the call and got to work right away. And within an hour he diagnosed and fixed the problem (luckily just a shot capacitor) at what I thought was a reasonable price. Scott was super professional and friendly without being pushy with any additional products to sell. He also checked our other working unit just about of precaution. So grateful he was able to come and fix things so fast on the eve before a long weekend in the midst of a heatwave. He came out to the house, checked the compressor and quickly diagnosed the capacitor as the problem & replaced it. And Joe K. even showed my husband how he diagnosed the capacitor as the issue NOT the compressor leaking refrigerant as stated by local competitor!! No refrigerant leaking at all!! He went into the attic and disconnected the pipes to clean them, as well as the screen that covered the exit to the roof. There was debris and a blockage that he was able to remove.
