Good pizza. Wide varieties of pizza. Good prices. Bar on premises. Plenty of seating and parking. Definitely worth a try if you've never been. They have other items on the menu but I still go for just the pizza. It's that good. I'll get around to the other items eventually.

Oh yeah, was I blown away by this small pizza joint with some big time flavor and character. Coming to this quiet area for work, I sought out a quick bite to eat next to the bank and with this being next door, it was a no brainer. Entering and it's already slowly getting busy with pizzas being made, a deliveries being sent out. Having some time to sit and relax, I decided to grab a slice of shrimp pizza and a chicken bacon ranch pizza to accompany my Dr. Pepper with the local news playing on the flat screen TV. I was able to beat the crowd as all the tables were filled up with different parties and more people in line to place orders and take out. I sat there enjoy my freshly made pizzas that were crunchy yet chewy with depths of flavor and filled with all the proteins. The slices were huge pretty much filling a dinner plate with the two slices. I liked that the toppings for each slice was filled with so many pieces; every bite I had of the shrimp pizza had a shrimp in it which is how it should be while the chicken bacon ranch pizza had crispy chicken cutlet diced with the bacon and a heavy drizzle of ranch. With the employees chatting up with the clients and the whole place being pretty homey, this place is a great place for lunch. Two slices of pizza $6 and a $2 Dr. Pepper...ummmm YES!!

This is a great place with one of the best pizzas I've had in CT. Wish they would have a location closer to Danbury, but I'm willing to drive for great pizza. Don't understand the so-so reviews of the place. I've only had pizza and grinders, so can't speak about the other items on the menu. They don't skimp on toppings at all. Great crust, sauce and fresh toppings. 43 different pizzas to order from in addition to if you pick your own toppings. That's crazy! The new location is bigger and has more parking. Staff is very friendly and helpful. No complaints, the pizza and grinders has been consistently great.

Food is ALWAYS good.. service is pretty good too. The inside of the restaurant is really nice. Me and my kid go there sometimes for lunch. He loves the meat ball pizza. I live in town so it's nice to grab a quick bite and support local business.

Eggplant pizza home town.. they use real dipped Eggplants.. it covers the pie. And cheap and great taste..

Solid pizza and prompt delivery. Toppings are quite good and generous. Large menu, not at all just for pizza.

I had to bring home half the quesadilla because it was full of a lot of meat. My husband raved about his boneless short rib entree and mushroom soup. Our server Jessica C was awesome. Then came this past Thanksgiving weekend where it required traveling on I-84 from Cape Cod to get to Danbury and my mom, sister and I decided to try you out. Now, I am in the dog house because they want to know when the next time that we are going. I had the chicken club and it was absolutely delicious. A huge piece of chicken with plenty of flavor. My sister had the short rib sandwich and was raving about it once we continued our drive saying she was so glad she had it even though she had short ribs herself for dinner the previous night. I don't know if that's an indictment on her cooking or what, but she loved it. The star however was the cod dinner that mom had. It was one of the flakiest and freshest pieces of fish she had ever had. We got a very late start to our trip, so by the time 2:00 came on the Saturday afternoon came, we practically had the whole place to ourselves. The only gripe that we had ( not that we necessarily would have changed anything ) was that we noticed after we ordered that the table next to us got a specials menu and we didn't. It was nice and quiet as our waitress let us have a quiet late lunch and if we were ever in the area ever again, we would make a b-line back to the restaurant.

I've had their Graham Jam ice cream at the Micro Creamy of CT and is where I first learned about them. The Big Dipper's shop in Prospect was a 20 minute drive for us. The shop was very cute, classic ice cream shop vibes with a lot of indoor seating. There were freezers with ice cream pies, cakes, sandwiches, and pints or quarts of ice cream. They had a lot of hand scooped ice cream flavors from classic to original flavors. There were a few soft serve flavors available too. Since they make their own ice cream there were flavors that were unique to them. I got a scoop of Purple Cloud--a purple cotton candy base ice cream with a marshmallow swirl and Lemon Pie--lemon base ice cream with pie crust pieces. These flavors packed a punch and the Purple Cloud was fun for all ages. I don't remember the last time I had eaten cotton candy flavored ice cream, but the marshmallow swirl was a great touch to a nostalgic flavor. I got my ice cream in a waffle cone which was very delicious and had little bits of caramelization. My mom wanted a special soft serve flavor that the Big Dipper had advertised for the weekend. They called it Butterbeer, a twist of sweet cream and butterscotch. The girl helping us had no idea what we were talking about, but finally confirmed that they had the special soft serve flavors. We think my mom's cone was only the butterscotch flavor, but the soft serve was so soft it started melting immediately. No picture because it didn't look to pretty. Fortunately, the flavor was good and that's what really matters. I'd say stick to the hard ice cream flavors at Big Dipper. I look forward to visiting them again to see what they'll craft up because I'm always looking for flavors you can't get anywhere else.
