I really don't understand why this place even has more the. 1 star reviews. The location isn't too bad maybe that's it? Other than that, it's a dirty hotel, especially for the price about $85 a night after taxes. I've stayed in motel 6s that weren't this bad! Check in was easy, parking is ok. Come up to the room, went to shower, mold along the caulking all around the tub. After seeing that thinking ok, not horrible but still, looked under the sink, lots of dirt, and hair chunks. Went to lay down, pulled back sheets, it looks like they don't do well washing them at all. The doors in the hallway slam, constantly causing noises through the night. The AC somewhat works, and of course dirty, the floor is scuffed and damaged. Going down the stairs, completely dirty. Gave us 2 towels, wanted them to come in change sheets, they came in, put 2 towels and washcloths in, and left the room doing nothing else. DO NOT STAY HERE read more

The hotel itself was average and worth the price! What made it a five star stay was the front desk staff. We arrived at the hotel at 7am (with a reservation for the prior night) because it took us that long to drive there! The woman at the front desk was very nice, understanding, and accommodating to us! The friendliness of the staff elevated our stay to five stars! The hotel was clean and basic. We got a smoking room because of our dog and the room smelled as such when entering but it wasn't overpowering once in the room. The room was nice and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed the grab and go style of the breakfast since we were getting in the car for a long drive. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone traveling with their pet! read more

Love love love this little treasure. We stayed here on the way to and from South Florida from Chicago. Brought our Golden retriever and found this place on the net at bring fido. Easy check-in and check out process. Continental breakfast served, ending at 9:30 am. Showers have great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Rooms are clean. Floors are laminate instead of carpet. Guest services are very nice. It's nice and quiet and accommodations are comfortable. If you like TV there is a large one in each room. The air-conditioning and heating is controlled by a unit in your room, and they're a good white-noise, and do the trick to adjust your room temp. This place is solid for what we were looking for -a clean, comfy,pet-friendly place with no frills but all you need to have a good night's rest! read more

Stayed here one night while driving from Madison, WI to Naples, FL. We had been driving for hours and the weather was terrible, so we just picked the next closest town and used an app to find us a good, cheap place to crash for the night. We booked online and an hour later we were there. It was late, probably around 1am when we finally got in. When we tried to enter the building, the front door was locked. Panic set in as we were caught in a torrential rain storm, it was the middle of the night, we were both exhausted, and now we were locked out. They have a window that opens to the outside with a bell that we rang again and again. No answer. We couldn't see anyone inside. We were very worried now, and a bit annoyed. I found the number to the office and called. No answer. Called, called, called again. By about the 4th or 5th phone, a very groggy sounding woman answered. I let her know I was trying to check in, and she quickly appeared behind the desk and buzzed us in. I would imagine this is a family run establishment, and being the middle of the night, they went to bed. But, being right off the interstate, and especially during HORRIBLE weather, it may be smart to keep someone at the desk 24/7. Other than that, this place is fine. It was clean. It was cost efficient. It was quiet. It's definitely not the nicest of places, but for the price you can't expect it to be. In a pinch, it worked out well for us. read more

I booked this place about 4-5 months ago online. Went to view the reservation about two months before we were due to check in and it said our room was "restocked" so I called them and they couldn't find our reservation. I spoke with a very rude gentleman on the phone and almost decided to just cancel the reservation but this hotel was closest to the family and friends we were coming to see. Check-in was slow but the room was clean, the shower, however, has NO grip on the bottom and I almost fell multiple times. My partner banged their knee up pretty badly getting in one morning. I couldn't believe this hotel still has smoker friendly rooms, you can smell cigarettes all the way down the hall, even on the non smoking side. The breakfast was not appetizing. Lots of carbs namely bagels, pastries, and waffles. They had no hot breakfast besides the waffles, whereas most of the other places I've stayed offered eggs and bacon or sausage. I'll spend the extra money and stay at one of the nicer hotels in the area on our next trip. read more

Just got a phone call from this lady who accused me of smoking in a non smoking room and charged me 100$ . When I tried to explain it was dirty when I got there and even found a pair of sunglasses wasn't mine .. she accused me of lying. ! They don't properly clean then charge me for it!!! So if you don't want to be scammed don't stay here! read more

Traveling with pets. They were very welcoming. Room and beds very comfortable. Hard floor for pets so cleaning isn't an issue. Very satisfied with stay. And great restaurant very near by. Farm and Fork. Leave entertainment as well. Lots of fun. read more

We stayed at this hotel in October 2010 and it is located in a safe area, off Interstate 75. Our experience was very good. The hotel is very clean, the staff were excellent and our room was great. Our stay was $60 per night at the time and we had a microwave, mini-fridge,coffee pot and free wifi (there's also an outlet for those without wifi). They also have copy and fax service for business travelers and wakeup service is also offered. There was a free continental breakfast offered every morning until 9:30 or 10 am that consisted of donuts, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, and make-your-own waffles with a waffle iron. The rooms also offer free satellite tv, Not too far down the road off Battlefield Parkway is the Georgia Winery which offers a great and rather tasty selection of local wines. There is also a Costco store not too far away on highway 2a (Cobb Parkway) for the fans of bulk shopping fares. And there are alot of historical sites in the area for the history buffs out there (Civil War and Native American) All in all, it's a great value for a hotel - clean, safe, good rates and hospitable and convenient to I-75 South and North to Atlanta or Chattanooga. Chattanooga is only minutes away from this hotel. I do recommend it to anyone looking for good accommodations in the north Georgia and Chattanooga areas. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update - October 3, 2012 Last week we stayed at HomeTown Inn again and once again, we had a wonderful stay. The bed again was sooooooooo comfortable! Very clean, very affordable. Free wifi with a free complimentary breakfast, mini-fridge, and microwave also are located in the rooms. We were not disappointed plus with these kinds of prices and ammenties, where in Chattanooga will you find a deal just like this and located in a safe area? Answer - nowhere from my research! You'd pay more to get these features in Chattanooga. As always, the staff has been stellar and very kind! It's always clean, quiet and very safe and literally only minutes from Interstate 75. We will be staying here again when we return to Ringgold in the future to visit again! read more

Made my reservation on booking.com when I arrived the guy at the front desk played 21 questions with me and my husband... because apparently we were from far enough away to need to stay somewhere overnight. We get to our room and the plackard with the room number isn't even attached to our door. A hand towl is hanging on the handle to our room. The bathtub had a hole in it. I had to phone the front desk for shampoo becauae all they provided me with was 1 soap and 2 lotions. The outlet on the wall in between the 2 beds didnt have power. Not worth the money read more

My family and I stayed here last night on our way home from vacation, I gotta say it was actually a pleasant stay. The room was very clean as was the whole hotel it seemed! The bed was comfortable the bathroom was nice, looked new, everything was just very well kept! The tv was great, huge flat screen, you just don't see them that big in hotels! One negative thing was the refrigerator in our room 220 was a bit noisy, had a humming sound but really didn't keep any of us up. The breakfast was a surprise, wasn't bad at all! They had muffins, apples, bagels, cereal, waffles, etc. and the best thing is that it's all FREE! Well worth eating. I made a waffle it was tasty! My kids loved the waffles as well! This was a great find was one of the cheaper hotels my dad found online on our way home. If you're close to the area looking for a nice cheap, but very clean and in a nice looking area then this is the hotel for you, I slept great and I'm sure you will as well! read more

So I called to make a hotel reservation and was put on hold for 10 minutes by a rep named lance I call backed to continue with making a reservation lady told me she'd help me put me on hold, two minutes later the conversation ended with them disconnecting with me. I call back a third time I speak to representative name Lance again his last name is name lance . He proceeds to tell me on the phone they cannot give me service and that I need to fuck off and have a life and he has a customer in front of him. This is the worst customer service I have ever received and I never even made it to the hotel door. never use this location lance at the front desk should be fired I would not recommend this hotel zero out of five.. read more

Was in the area for work so I decided to stop in and get a room. Online it showed there was only one room left for $55. I got to the "full" hotel that only had 2 cars in the parking lot and got charged $95. Make sure you purchase room online or they will rip you off. read more

I stayed 3 nights a week for 4 weeks on business. I returned because it was clean and the owner and staff were friendly. Only problem is the was a cigarette smell in the hallway but not in my room (Same comment as previous reviewer). The breakfast was the basic continental breakfast. The staff is incredibly nice! The rooms are very clean. The hotel is easy to find off the freeway. Free Wi-Fi, free hot breakfast. They do have laundry facilities. But bring your own detergent. Pet friendly. And the hotel is close to the Freightliner. So if you are a truck driver they do it take the company EFS checks. read more

Pet friendly, friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, nice general hotel breakfast, close to 75 and reasonably priced make this hotel one of our future destinations since we live in SW FL and have family in OH and MI. We stayed here on Oct 11, 2013. Just 6 miles from downtown Chattanooga, TN. Rate was, incl tax, $73.44 (weekend rate). Front desk was Very Helpful - restaurant recommendations, directions to Chattanooga, shortcut route to avoid Chattanooga traffic on I-24 next morning. Spartan accommodations but clean and safe - NO worries in this location. Would stay there again. read more

Still sitting in room writing review. This was a last minute decision to stay and found a great deal on Hotwire.com. When we arrived the check-in process was quick and easy and the young man at the front desk (Danny) was nice and welcoming. The room is nice for the rate. It's nice and clean outside the property with nice flowers planted. The room has both a microwave AND fridge (not the small one but the medium sized one). The bathrooms are nice & clean. The tvs aren't new & fancy but they do the job. I felt safe & comfortable and thought it was a fab deal for the price. And again it was clean. Oh, they also have free wifi and breakfast. Today they had waffles, instant oatmeal & grits, two types of Danish, apples, boiled eggs, two types of cereal, Apple juice, orange juice and coffee. Oh and tea bags. I will def. come back if need be. Oh, there is also a small outdoor pool. This morning it was nice chatting with Stephanie at the front desk. She was very helpful, friendly & kept a smile on her face. Inexpensive for the quality. Great deal. read more

We held our annual missions conference near the Home Town Inn. The turnout was lighter than expected. Speakers and organizers all stayed at the Inn. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The bed was really comfortable. The hallways did smell of smoke but the rooms did not. Our group all met downstairs in the breakfast area and then headed to the conference. Later that evening, we met there prior to going out together to dine. We kind of took it over because it is not huge. But, the waffles were good and again the a.m. staff was a delight. Everyone on staff was really nice. We were originally scheduled to stay at the hotel next door but they changed the room rate on us and were not nearly as hospitable. So, if you want a nice family style place to stay that is clean with a great staff and is not outrageously expensive, this is the place for you. We want to thank you again for all your help.
