Although it's located just off I-75, it's a little difficult to find the first time. You'll turn at…read morea light, but the entrance to the motel is from a side street which is hidden behind some trees/ bushes. Once you turn on that street, the entrance to the motel parking lot is about a block further. There is a good amount of parking, with handicapped spaces on either side of the entrance. There is also a gravel lot for overflow, but the only vehicles I saw there were ones pulling trailers. The lobby is bright and open, with the check in desk on the right. We have been greeted quickly every time we have stayed here. The desk staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms have all been nice and up to date. The motel is generally quiet, even with various travelling sports teams are staying there. There is a pool we have used a few times. The breakfast is pretty extensive and good. They do a good job of keeping up with demand without making so much it sits there too long. They also have some local sauces to add to your eggs. I would be remiss to not mention Miss Marriott, the stray cat who lives in the area. She is sweet and selectively friendly, and hangs out on the patio outside the dining area most mornings. Overall, we have been pleased with the accommodations as well as the staff here.

They claimed that occasionally one comes from the outside and they address it immediately, but for bugs to be on a third floor, there is probably a bug problem. Also, a family member went to work in the lobby area around midnight or early in the morning and when she went to get back in the room, she could not get back in. she went to the front desk for help and could not find the attendant. Waited around 30 minutes and there was still no attendant. She finally was able to wake us up and we let her in. They offered to give us membership points back, but the points were insignificant to a very unpleasant stay.

We had alarms set for 6am to continue driving on and when I woke up, I noticed a Bed bug crawling on the pillow (it was a baby bed bug). Upon inspection, I noticed an adult sized bed bug crawling on the other side of the bed. We were utterly disgusted and have never had this experience elsewhere. We took photos so we had proof to show the desk attendant named Cynthia as well as put both bugs on a napkin and brought them to the front desk. She saw them and squashed them because she said she did not want them to get away. The big bed bug was filled with blood. We felt super gross and asked for garbage bags to put anything we had brought into the room into the bags so we did not bring any home with us. My sister had welts on her legs from being bit in the middle of the night. We asked for the manager to call us back that day. We received a call from the desk attendant saying the manager approved $40 off our stay equating to 25% off. Obviously, with our room being priced at over $150, $40 did not seem fair for all the trouble we had to do to now sort through our stuff when we got home. We later received an email from the manager saying they had "an in house inspector" check out our room and found nothing. Just because you don't visibly see them during the day, does not mean there are no bed bugs. We received another call from another desk attendant and that is when we spoke up asking for at least half our money back from our stay. We did not enjoy the free breakfast they offered, did not get to enjoy the pool, and instead rushed out of the hotel because we did not want to be there any longer. We asked to speak personally with the manager over the phone and it has been about 7 days and no word from anyone. We even sent pictures over email of the ones we took that morning, which are attached to this review. Utterly disgusting and very dissatisfied. Very disappointed in their manager and the managers refusal to call us personally.

The room itself was nice. It was older but clean and had all the typical amenities anticipated. We were at the rear of the building so there was no road noise and the room was pretty quiet. The next morning the foyer area included only yogurt and packaged breakfast items. Again, this information was not available prior to booking and no price break was offered for the lack of the advertised breakfast option. This motel may be much improved when the renovations are complete, but potential customers staying during the renovations need to be told of the changes up front.

This made me start looking a little closer for other messed up stuff. Even though the room is nonsmoking, the blanket has cigarette holes in it. There are spiderwebs in the corners. The ceiling in the bathroom is peeling. The mirror hasn't been properly cleaned; it has streaks on it. The door isn't properly sealed; when the door is completely closed, there is a draft coming into the room.
