He mentioned that he has been doing inspections in Big Bear for 37 years and he brought up terms and situations (weather specific) that were very insightful. He spoke with me about 20 minutes about the home inspection report from the other company. He did not have to do this but his genuine concern for my home buying situation was sincere. Less than a week after closing, we pulled up the carpet in the main bedroom and found water damage. And after the storm last night, there is fresh water in the home. The wood framing the door is obviously water damaged and it was not mentioned in the report. Water was found under the kitchen sink. The wood beneath was warped, but dry.
