My RE Melissa Gile referred Highlander Inspections to me and I am very glad she did. The initial phone call was a breeze and they were able to connect me with one of their home inspector RED. RED was so awesome to work with, he was very detailed and answer all of our questions. He also waited for us so that he could say hi to us and explain everything in person. Honest, thorough and genuinely great people. I have used them numerous times and its always been top notch service.

My family and I have used their services twice. Once for a purchase that fell through because of issues with the house. We were so impressed with them we called when we found the place e we ended up purchasing. Loch and Red were amazing, their reports are through easy to read and include images of issues. However when looking beyond the inspection portion of their job, Red is a personable guy who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He made sure to explain everything in a way my wife an I understood. He was patient and willing to take as much time as was necessary to make sure he answered all of our questions. We would definitely use them again and would recommend them to everyone looking for a place in the mountains. read more

Highlander Inspections was recommended to me by my realtor during recent purchase of a cabin in Big Bear. That plus all positive online reviews were spot on. My first communication was over the phone with Loch who was very flexible to our requirements and was able to fit the schedule too. Price was reasonable, I called other Inspectors in area as well. Red Werner was doing the inspection, and he did excellent work. Report was detailed, covered all expected areas and uncovered some issues we missed. He was available for follow up inquiries, answered all of my questions. Overall gave us confidence about this house/purchase. Their web site and online setup (doc/records/media access) is very convenient. read more

We just had the pleasure of working with Loch at Highlander Inspections for our new home in Lake Arrowhead. Loch was incredibly thorough - giving us the technicalities in layman's terms, and flagging problems as red flags, yellow, or green. Very easy to understand, incredibly thorough, and a pleasure to be around. He took all day, and it's clear that he really knows his stuff! Highly competent. I have great confidence that we know all the ins and outs of our new home. Highly recommend. read more

The high-level quality and quick service is the first thing I want to mention. Alongside the willingness for open communication helps make the process stress-free. Furthermore, the interface for the resources needed to access the materials was easy to use for many users. The actual inspection was very thorough and outlined clearly in the report. This made the home-buying process less stressful and more enjoyable as we learned about the house. read more

Don't buy a home without these guys doing your inspection first. Loch & Red have the highest level of experience and professionalism. Coming from a Real Estate and Construction background it is hard to impress us but they did with flying stars. Nothing was missed, they were extremly thorough, and took their time to explain and anwser all of our many questions. We were even more impressed once we reveived the report. I experienced my first home inspection with Loch Bell and Redd Werner in August. Mr Bell was available via phone and email, sent notifications regarding the upcoming inspection and encouraged me to let him know if I had areas of concern. I wasn't able to walk through with Mr Werner but the report I received was thorough and easy to understand. Mr Werner showed up when he said he would. The costs were within my expectations. I am going to use them again and I encourage you to use them as well. (I chose not to purchase the home as the repairs were beyond my financial capabilities ) The bonus was an email I received recently letting me know that they were available to me should I have any questions. read more

So in the last 10 years I have done my fair share of home inspections. I am a home flipper, a real estate buyers agent, and a airbnb vacation host. And was a Electrical contractor for 15 years in my past life. So I very familiar with the inspection process and construction standards. Loch on top of being a super nice guy that's fun to be around is hands down the best inspector in the mountains. I have my go to inspector Down the hill, and I now have my go to guy Up the hill. He uncovered some pretty big issues, and when I needed some follow up info he had the forethought to take pictures of the equipment labels. That's impressive. We could not thank him enough. We are now informed buyers. Oh Sellers, it might be a good idea to have him inspect before listing. I would hate to see what he finds on a neglected home. read more

Loch was the best inspector I've ever worked with. Experienced and knowledgeable. He really went through all details and helped us to understand everything. He always respond his phone before and after inspection with any kind of question. I would definitely recommend Loch for your next home inspection. He is the best 100% NO DOUBT read more

I have nothing, but excellent things to say about their service. My wife and I are in the process of buying a home and needed to have it inspected for our own peace of mind. Red showed up on time and really brought his A game. He inspected every inch of the house, pointed out several things that had been missed by the builder, used a remote controlled camera for underneath the home and a drone for an aerial view of the roof top. Red also took mold samples and had them sent to a lab. The one thing I liked the most is that I was allowed to tag along and observe him conduct the inspection. He explained in great detail every step of the process, what he was looking for, and what discrepancies he found. He provided his final report to me in less than 48 hours which was extremely detailed and included photos. I would highly recommend Highlander inspection to anyone in the area, especially the mountain communities because they know the homes and the environment in which we live extremely well. They are also an excellent value and do not try to nickel and dime you for every thing. They kept to the price they quoted with no hidden costs or surprises. read more

Loch came recommended by my real estate agent at Compass Realty. I met him at the property and was present for the inspection. He was very friendly and personable. The house was small and straightforward but Loch was extremely thorough and spent at least 2.5-3 hours inspecting everything. And he was very quick to get the report out. I received it that night. I had some questions so I emailed Loch and he responded same day. Great service. read more

From start to finish Loch is a true professional and a great guy. I like that I was able to go onto his site to schedule and pay for a visit. His automatic communication via text and email were helpful and welcomed. From the moment he pulled up to the house to when he left he was upbeat; making me feel like I was definitely the reason he was there and the house just happened to bring us together. Loch was very thorough with his inspection. He took clear photos that depicted the subject and nothing else. He went over the property with a fine toothed comb and found many different levels of necessary repairs and items that will eventually need attention. He took time at the end to go over his findings. His description of what he found was not rambling and was in plain language. The electronic package he sent via email was also quality work. I would certainly hire Loch again if I needed his services, and I highly suggest him if anyone was looking for a home inspector. read more
