The store doesn't have an exact closing date but it won't be very long. Currently seasonal items are 60-70% off (some seriously cute Xmas décor and ornaments) and the remainder of the store is 20-30% off. They have really cute jewellery and unique items for special gifts. I really like their line of moon necklaces/bracelets where you pick the phase of the moon on a special date (birth, death, wedding, etc.) and can wear it as jewellery. I also like their sparkly Swarovski crystal bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. Some stuff here for sure can be found elsewhere or online for less but that's not the point of a boutique store. It's getting to go somewhere and browse through various collections to find the perfect gift for someone special. If you're a fan of s'well bottles, they still have a fairly good collection of unique ones and at 20% off you're paying a fair price for the designer s'wells. (Note you can get plain jane ones at Costco for $30) but the ones here are GORGEOUS and make me smile. They're collection of wrapping papers and tissues is extensive and are sure to be able to wrap your gift to fit any occasion or theme. Seriously gonna miss the Prettiest Present!

Well I just adore this store!…read more Often you walk into gift shops, and yes, everything is lovely but you just don't really see anything practical; or everything is really expensive, or really niche. But at the Prettiest Present they really have a great variety of really useful gifts! From presents for those pooch peeps, to culinary and kitchen gadgets - as well as neat necessities. Then there are the baby gifts, the seasonal decor for your own abode, a wall of tempting teas and some really unique jewelry. And then the pies de resistance... they have the most fabulous collection of gift bags, gift boxes and paper so that when you find that perfect present you can also wrap it up without having to go to another store! Love it!! Although, I do not remember seeing ribbon or cards, I could be wrong, or maybe that's just asking for the moon. Pro Tip: Make sure to go into the basement! Often you go into a store like this and assume that down the steps is just a small smattering of a few other things. But in this case the basement is the majority of the shop. "Wow", this store is so tacky...but I guess every tourist store is in a certain way…read more It's basically made up of Canada shirts, Edmonton shirts, X-rated shirts and a bunch of Canadian souvenirs. Most of the shirts are hilariously tacky, but maybe they just don't sit well with my sense of humor. Maybe I don't appreciate this store because I'm not exactly a tourist when it comes to Edmonton. But even if I were a tourist, I highly doubt I would do my souvenir shopping here...only maybe as a last resort.

I love a good gift shop, so even though I'm technically finished my Christmas shopping, I couldn't resist! This place reminds me of a Ukrainian/Russian version of Ki-Fu-Ne. Like the Japanese store, the merchandise here is imported and wonderful. While I'm not overly fond of religious artifacts, I have to agree it was good quality stuff. I was much more interested in the porcelain and the stacking dolls. Who doesn't love those stacking dolls? I had to buy myself a Christmas set. The lady working there was extremely sweet and helpful, and told me there's a Europa Deli somewhere in the area I must check out. And she gave me a beautiful gold Thomas Kincaide Christmas card with my purchase. I only have one complaint, and I didn't even think about it until I got home....There really isn't anything there for men. If I came here for any of the men in my life, there wouldn't be a single thing for them. Other than that, excellent service and good quality merchandise.

First time at the gallery/studio & I absolutely could of spent a lot of money on neat gifts and…read moremore art for my walls. I restrained myself as I'm waiting to access my new living space and don't need more art sadly sitting in the dark of storage. However, I did stock up on cards that have her artwork on them (there's a deal if you buy 5) to brighten up the day for some friends and family. The gallery is located in the professional building and the entrance is accessible but the gallery itself might be tight in some spots if one has a wheelchair or even a walker. However, if there's something of interest, I'm sure Lorraine would be happy to bring items closer to a person as she's very personable and the whole time I m was there we were chatting about her gallery and the different items other artists have there. Literally a great mix of gift options as there's prints, pottery, jewellery, sculptures, cards, cloth items and even buttons with art designs. I was originally connected with Lorraine through my cousin. Like many of us, I wanted to do something to help those in Ukraine but make sure it was going somewhere useful. So what better way help by going through someone that is already connected to the country and doing a fundraiser. Lorraine has certain art that she's selling at various sizes on canvas for indoors or on another material for withstanding outdoors. She showed me what she printed for another customer to hang outside, and I was actually sad that I don't have a massive backyard to decorate (as it was simply beautiful!). I selected the canvas sunflower art with colourful fields in the background (sorry no photo of it until it's hanging on my wall in my new place!) but there's several options that she's offering for this fundraiser. It's not limited, so reach out to her if your interested in finding out more. She's really great at responding on Facebook and she has some flexibility with her hours at the gallery if the posted hours don't work and you want to schedule a specific time to meet her. Honestly, I recommend to stop by and take a look around. I now have this gallery on my list to take my family when they want to do a mini Edmonton trip to look at art or find unique Canadian gifts to send overseas.
