New mugs !!!
Tamara L.

Ok, this is one very cool store !! They little gem has everything needed to make your space or someone else's ultra unique. I could spend my life savings on the Patrick Swayze pillows and the Grand Budapest Hotel pictures. I bought my sister a Spock mug and my husband the Festus Mug. This store has something for everyone and every budget.

Yes! So gorgeous.

Definitely not what I was expecting! The name to me suggested more of a stationary shop, but I was pleasantly surprised with what was inside! There were prints and prints galore! Whether it be on a canvas, mug, pillow or pencil case. Most of the prints were from cult classics such as Wes Anderson's films. In the middle of the store, there is a long table with stools full of the best coffee table books you could ask for. I was drawn to the travel books, but there is something for everyone. Take a peak next time you are on 124.

Prettiest Present - Moon jewellery! Love it! You look up the moon phase on a special date and buy the jewellery to commemorate that date.

The store doesn't have an exact closing date but it won't be very long. Currently seasonal items are 60-70% off (some seriously cute Xmas décor and ornaments) and the remainder of the store is 20-30% off. They have really cute jewellery and unique items for special gifts. I really like their line of moon necklaces/bracelets where you pick the phase of the moon on a special date (birth, death, wedding, etc.) and can wear it as jewellery. I also like their sparkly Swarovski crystal bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. Some stuff here for sure can be found elsewhere or online for less but that's not the point of a boutique store. It's getting to go somewhere and browse through various collections to find the perfect gift for someone special. If you're a fan of s'well bottles, they still have a fairly good collection of unique ones and at 20% off you're paying a fair price for the designer s'wells. (Note you can get plain jane ones at Costco for $30) but the ones here are GORGEOUS and make me smile. They're collection of wrapping papers and tissues is extensive and are sure to be able to wrap your gift to fit any occasion or theme. Seriously gonna miss the Prettiest Present!

Well I just adore this store!…read more Often you walk into gift shops, and yes, everything is lovely but you just don't really see anything practical; or everything is really expensive, or really niche. But at the Prettiest Present they really have a great variety of really useful gifts! From presents for those pooch peeps, to culinary and kitchen gadgets - as well as neat necessities. Then there are the baby gifts, the seasonal decor for your own abode, a wall of tempting teas and some really unique jewelry. And then the pies de resistance... they have the most fabulous collection of gift bags, gift boxes and paper so that when you find that perfect present you can also wrap it up without having to go to another store! Love it!! Although, I do not remember seeing ribbon or cards, I could be wrong, or maybe that's just asking for the moon. Pro Tip: Make sure to go into the basement! Often you go into a store like this and assume that down the steps is just a small smattering of a few other things. But in this case the basement is the majority of the shop. It is at least 3x larger then the upstairs portion. Happy shopping!

The space is small but it has an upstairs mezzanine area with even more goodies and that's where you'll find the wall of patches. The greetings cards are funny, shocking and perfect for any pal with a sense of humour. They sell light boxes, neon signs and trinket holders in weird shapes. What's not to love. Every single thing in this store is so damn cute, including the owner. She was funny, had great conversation and told us lots about the makers and various store items. This shop curates a wide variety of stuff that's ideal for gift giving. It's hard not to go overboard ordering just one more cute thing. I really like their needlework kits, greeting cards, and home decor items. Prices are not bargain basement so be warned that a shopping spree can add up fast! Still, shopping local has its own rewards and I am glad that this quirky little place has earned such a large following that it's still standing after all the economic challenges of the pandemic and beyond. Hard to explain, but the inventory just has an Edmonton feel to it -- check it out and see if you agree!

It is just as fun and bright and colourful in person as they appear to be online. The owner is super friendly and helpful. She knows all of the products intimately and her enthusiasm is totally contagious. In terms of COVID-19 safety, the store is very small and only allows 3 people to browse at a time. Even at capacity, there is lots of space to move around. The owner insists everyone santizes their hands before entering and wears a mask. Knowing she does this for every customer goes a long way in making you feel safe. The best part about M&F? There's something for everyone. They sell gourmet chocolates, luxury bath products, enamel pins, cards for every occasion and more. The worst part about M&F? There's something for everyone. Seriously! It was very very hard limiting myself to buying Christmas gifts for my friends and family. I definitely snuck in a few items for myself (rocket pop bath salts anyone??) You may have seen their infamous "Fuck you Kenney" mugs in the news and on social media. What you may not know is that this isn't some attention getting gimmick; 25% of all sales goes directly to buying PPE for Alberta schools. It took me awhile to make my first visit to M&F but I don't think I'll be able to wait very long for the next one. This place is a gem!

Such a cool place full of treasures…read more I discovered this place by accident while looking for something else. I can see myself returning whenever I need to buy a special gift for a special someone. As a matter of fact, I did already. I got my mother a glass touch lamp with owls on it. She loves it and uses it as a night light for when she needs to get up in the pee hours. You know what I mean. They've got many themed collectables besides just Bradford. There's Disney, Night Before Christmas, Elvis, Classic cars, Betty Boop and other collectables I don't know how to name but recognize all the same. The prices are sometimes high, but we are talking about collectables. I collect dragons, and not only did they have a nice selection, but I found them to be fairly priced. I've paid more at other stores. The owner is a sweetheart. She likes to chat, but she's not intrusive. She doesn't hover. Honestly, I'm going to shop there whenever I need a gift, because I want to see this place stick around. I recommend you at least check it out. See if you can't find something for yourself or someone you love.

Clothes err on the pricier side but not much more than you would see in any mall - I appreciate that they have lots of really unique, well made, individual pieces. Accessories are a must at Red Ribbon, they have a fantastic collection of scarves (averaging about $22, which for how gorgeous and unique they are, is IMO quite reasonable) and lots of handbags. Red Ribbon also carries a huge assortment of Toms shoes (for both men, women and even kids/infants!!!) Definitely stop into Red Ribbon on a regular basis as they are a small boutique and get new stock in all the time. If you are looking for something pretty that you won't see anywhere else, it is your kind of store.

My friend told me that this store is expensive, but awesome. I finally decided to check it out,…read morebecause I have been dying to find some unique clothes. I thought Red Ribbon was going to be another one of those stores that frustrates me, because either the clothes are too expensive or too small for me to fit in. When I first walked in, I thought it looked like such a nice store. It was kind of dim, with spotlights. The hardwood floors were dark, and the clothes looked eclectic. I started looking through one rack of shirts, and I was kind of shocked to see plain cotton shirts selling for $70. I kept looking through different racks, and what I started to notice was that the prices really varied. There were a lot of very expensive clothes, but there was also some very affordable clothes. I didn't see that many bigger sizes, but I eventually came across two really cool shirt dresses in my size. I tried them on, and the black on fit perfectly. And the best part was that it was marked down from $69 to $35! I couldn't believe what a good deal that was for such a nice shirt. I noticed on the receipt that this store only offers store credit or exchanges, but I am quite sure I won't be returning this shirt. They also had some awesome purses and bags, but these were well over a hundred dollars. I love this store, and I would give it five stars, if they carried more larger sizes. I will definitely be stopping by here quite often from now on.
