Great store but check out line is incredibly slow. Workers don't seem concerned at all when the line is a mile long. Nobody speeds up or calls for more employees to help out at the checkout counter. This was my first visit here. Easy to see all the merchandise very friendly staff. I'd be happy to shop here again.

I recommend home goods because they have nearly everything you need for your house and although some of the reviews are a little bit concerning it's nothing to worry about because one person said on their review that it was only their second day open and they could have been more friendly and she noticed that they were 3 people like in management and they were not friendly or smiling and at check out their were only two people on the register which I find that hard to believe but that's what she said and for that to be the opening of a store she hopes that everyone had the case of the jitters but she was going back because as far as the items everything was good. Well I know that it's a store and there will always be something not right but as far as them just being unkind and no manners that's kind of strange. I'm giving them a 4 Stars.**** read more

Nope, absolutely not and no thanks! Sooo I was surprised to see Homegoods in South Philly and since it's one of my fav stores I knew I had to check it out!! Upon entering the store I noticed it was a little small compared to other homegood stores. They actually share the area with TJ Max. The store was also chaotic with items in the wrong area. Homegoods is supposed to feature pretty interior decorating items for your home and office well this was no more than a pretty mess!! read more

3.5 Stars. I was so excited to learn about the opening of a city location of Home Goods!! Finally! It's hard to believe until now we had to drive to Jersey or Willow Grove. Oh, and there's parking here! Yes! The store was packed opening week with tons of city folks! It was well stocked, but actually a tad on the smaller side. (Comparatively speaking). Perhaps because it's attached to TJ Maxx also. Pros: The children's selection was lovely! Very high quality good and lots of them! Lots of amazing large rugs. Lots of fun table runners too! Very nice selection of cards, wrap and gift bags. Home Goods is actually one of my favorite places to stock up on all things for gift wrapping so I was very happy to see this! I did find quite a few chairs I feel in love with, but left without a few items I was on the hunt for. That's very rare for me. Lots of lamps, seasonal decor, food items and prints and paintings at this location. Cons: I thought their pillow selection, flatware and dishes were lacking a bit, but the good thing about a place like this is...you never know what you'll find next visit! I walked passed 4 employees and a group at the entrance that looked comprised of "higher ups", and not one person said hello. That's pretty bad customer service for just day 2!! What's it going to be like weeks, even months if no one can happily address you on opening days?! The checkout line which is also TJ Maxx's line was super long and slow moving. The check out girls were sweet but some seemed a tad unprepared. Verdict: I will probably always shop here regardless of its flaws because it's just so convenient. The area needed a Home Goods and this particular shopping center needed something to draw crowds. It certainly will. Found some really great stuff here, just like you'd expect at any HomeGoods. There are all kinds of deals from home decor to pet supplies. Picked up some Gem toothpaste, artichoke pesto sauce, and rose scented bath oil with dried flowers in it. My only complaint is that the planters are a bit disorganized, stuff was randomly placed and I had a hard time finding the plant stand that was supposed to go with my pot. Parking is a cinch. Nice place to peruse on a rainy day and T.J. Maxx is attached. read more

I love the store come here all the time however it's Christmas Eve and they only have two cashiers open. At least install self check out if you're not gonna hire extra help for the holidays. read more

Horrible aisle staff!!! I was looking for a hanging shoe rack and went up to a lady wearing a HomeGoods apron. She was walking slowly, on her way to either put something away or to find something near my area. I thought--hey, why not ask her instead? I smiled and greeted her--hi!--and she responded in the rudest way... simply shook her head sideways and continued walking past me. What the heck? I didn't even know how to respond to that... I thought they had a great selection, store was clean and customer service has been pleasant so far. So So Sooooo excited Home Goods/TJ Maxx are finally open!!! What a fabulous location and what an awesome addition to center city..especially convenient with the private parking lot! Since it has opened I've easily been over 10 times..its an easy way to waste some time browsing through and you'll never leave empty handed...they have an awesome selection! My first trip in was right before I had finished my holiday shopping, these stores made it easy to find for all of my "hard to find" recipients. I even found myself an awesome Gomelsky watch! I couldn't believe it when I saw it in the case and knew I had to have it...it was such a deal!! The store is clean and the staff is extremely helpful. I purchased a small dining table recently and had no issues getting an associate to hold it in the front for me while I browsed for another hour or so. If you find yourself in need of some good retail therapy or a good gift for someone..make this your first stop! read more

This place is terrible there is a line from basically the entrance all the way up front and they only have two people working registers . Actually it was only one person until a much slower associate came to help. I literally wanted to run out of there but didn't want to come back another time and deal with it all over again read more

The most miserable and rude customer service. My husband, with an arthritic knee, was sitting on a chair waiting for me while I was browsing the store, and a customer rep fluffed the pillows on the chair he was sitting in as if he should have gotten up and moved out of her way. Then we rolled out a 5 X 7 rug to look at it, and a different rep/man bolted out way and gave up the angriest look, followed me around, gave me another angry look, then a few mins later I was near the back storage area and heard him joking about us to another worker. I wish I hadn't spent any money there. Afterward I went to Pier 1 nearby who actually help you and have much better quality items. When will these inner-city retail establishments learn how to treat their bread & butter/customers? I, for one, am done with Home Goods, Christopher Columbus Square. read more

Terrible customer service and poor selection. I spend a lot of money at Home Goods/TJ Maxx/Marshall's every year and they lost a customer because of their total lack of customer service. The one in Moorestown is significantly better on all fronts and worth the trip over the bridge. Never returning here. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Store manager Orlando changes return policies on the spot without telling customers when buying products! Then, will yell at customers in their face for questioning these made up return policies that are different from the ones stated online or on the receipt. I really wanted to like this store and was pretty excited when it first opened. But I can no longer recommend this particular store. The personnel change the return policy on you in an instant, while embarrassing you in front of the rest of the customers and staff. I attempted to return an item less than 24 hours after purchasing WITH the original receipt and tags affixed. I was repeatedly and loudly accused of using the item, and the cashier and his superior denied the return. When I kept repeating myself and explaining that I had not used it, they insisted on having security review the video footage of me at the counter purchasing the item the day before to confirm condition of the item. While they reviewed this footage, the manager explained that the cameras are high-res and can even see the info on your DL and credit cards. So make sure you cover you personal info while at the register. Finally, more than 30 min later, they allowed me to return the item. The other reviews suggest a shifting return policy and mistreatment of customers may be a pattern at this store. read more
