I had a list of 10 items to complete around the house and reached out to Kyle with HomeFix Handyman. He and I both agreed it would take 2 days. We agreed to an hourly rate and 2 full days of his time.
Kyle showed up and didn't have the right tools for the job, so we weren't able to start with the items I wanted to. There was plenty of other work, so we started with something else. He didn't work a full day the first day and the second day said he wasn't available until 12:30pm - 1pm. He ended up only working a couple hours that day which was not what we agreed to. In total, he ended up only completing 1 item on my list.
During the time he was on the project he also installed a ceiling fan but didn't do it properly. On his website, he advertises that he charges $40 - $100 to install a ceiling fan and it ended up taking him over 4 hours to install my new ceiling fan for a charge of more than $200. To top it off Kyle wired the new ceiling fan incorrectly, so it doesn't even work the way it was installed. He has completely ignored my multiple requests that he come back out to remedy his mistakes.
In short - Kyle with HomeFix Handyman was way overpriced, was a very slow worker (maybe because I paid him by the hour), doesn't stick to agreed schedules, was pushy with payment and worst of all messed up the installation, didn't verify his work was done properly and then ignored me when I asked him to come back to remedy the shoddy work. STAY AWAY!

I was indeed out of the country due to being deployed in Afghanistan and my wife gave you access to the property. Literally everything else you said in your comment isn't true. It won't be helpful for people reading this to see a comprehensive list of corrections to your statements, so I'll simply focus on the most important issue here, which you didn't address in your comment:
You never remedied the incorrect installation of my ceiling fan. I tried for 3 weeks to get a hold of you with phone calls and texts and was completely ignored. At that point, I left the Yelp review. It is not right to pay a premium for a ceiling fan to be installed and find it does not work at all because the installer wired it incorrectly, then be ignored when you bring up the issue to the installer. Instead of responding to your client's multiple requests that you remedy your mistake, you call my wife and I mentally unstable and medicated. After you refused to remedy your work, I ended calling an electrician to fix the incorrect wiring and now my ceiling fan is working perfectly. The electrician actually said "Whoever installed your ceiling fan should not be doing electrical work." I would have to agree. read more
