Nice clean hotel. Decent breakfast options but I only got the oatmeal. Fitness center has ample weights and equipment to get a good workout. Rooms are very spacious and comfy with ur own kitchenette. We came in late after a very crazy day seeing the snow here in temple and the staff was very nice, super sweet woman. She had a man there with her but I don't think he worked there -I think he was her spouse but he was really nice too. But I don't blame her for having him there for safety cause you never know. I'd say the only thing that threw my family off was the smell of marijuanna was very strong in the hotel halls. And the beds were super hard. However! Our room was very clean and perfect for us. It was very warm and cozy. In the morning we were greeted and breakfast was yummy! Great coffee and delicious waffles! Again staff were super sweet and we definitely will stay at Hilton for sure. NEVER STAY HERE EVER. THEY TURN THE HOT WATER OFF AT NIGHT AND LIE ABOUT IT. I am writing this review at 1am from my room because for the second night in a row we do not have hot water at night and I am losing my mind. The hotel lied to us the first night and claimed they weren't having any issues, and told us to just "try running the shower for 15-20 minutes because it takes awhile to warm up..." no joke that's what we were told to do. We let the shower run for an hour straight and I wouldn't even describe the temp of the water as lukewarm. We spoke to the day staff in the morning and they then admitted they actually have been having water issues and had someone "work on it this morning" and to try the water now because they "fixed the problem." The water was warm, but went from lukewarm to scalding hot and fluctuated nonstop the whole shower. We had a long day and then tonight once again there is ZERO hot water. I'm not even talking kind of warm, it's unbearable to try to wash your hair because it's so painful and you'll be shivering the whole time. We are convinced they must turn the hot water off at night to save money or something then turn it on in the morning. If you look at the old reviews for this hotel, OVER A YEAR AGO and recent months as well, others complained about this same thing. One guys writes in his review that one side of the building doesn't have hot water and the other side does. He's absolutely right. The night staff let us try another room just to shower...which is insane btw...and the room was on the opposite side of the building and the water instantly was scalding hot. Be warned, the odd room numbers have no hot water at night and the even numbers apparently do get hot water. I'm in town for a funeral and things are rough enough, not being able to shower after a long day of traveling and grieving is beyond words. This is obviously an existing issue that the hotel has no desire to fix considering it's been over a year of complaints about the same issue. Hotels at the very least should have a clean room, a bed, and a hot shower. Good luck rolling the dice to see what side of the hotel they put you on and IF you can take a shower at night. Side note: the night staff is actually very nice. I can't say the same for the day staff. They clearly get this complaint a lot and don't want to hear it...likely because they're told to tell these lies over and over again to complaining customers by whoever is in charge. I never write reviews, but when I read the review from a year ago I couldn't let this go unsaid to back up his clearly true claims. I find it unforgivable whatever they're doing here. We stayed here this past weekend and we had a great experience. We booked a 2 Queen Suite because we had a party of 5 and the room was perfect. The room comes with a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and even a curtain to separate the living room/sofa bed area from the beds for privacy. The hotel is very nice and the staff were super friendly. They serve breakfast in the morning from 7a-10a and although we didnt partake it looked decent (waffles, sausage, eggs, etc). They also offer a 24/7 fresh coffe bar which I did have some of and it was great! Would definately recommend! read more

From check in, to checking out it was a complete disaster. My family made our reservations in early February for a funeral. When we arrived at the hotel after long flights; the front desk attendant made us wait over an hour so she could check in and assign room to about 40 kids and their chaperones. I asked if she could take us first because we were the first set of family that had arrived and we only needed our two rooms which we prepaid for, She refused. When she was done with the large group, she then informs us that the 2 queen rooms we booked a month earlier, wasn't available. She offered 1- 2 queen room and 1 king suite which wouldnt accommodate our group and thats not what we reserved. When I refused her offer and demanded she make it right; Then she mysterious found our 2 rooms but on the 4th floor. So we let that go because we were extremely tired after our travels. Once we were in the room there were a number of issues. The water in the bathroom sink was only a trickle, so we had to brush our teeth in the kitchen sink. There was no dishwashing liquid, shower water was cold, maid never gave us clean towels, bed spread had a large stain in one of our rooms, and the other had dingy linens with small holes in the sheets, we also had to set our trash out in hallway. The final and most dangerous issue is the elevators went out 2 days in a roll, and the fire alarms kept going off waking us up. In total my whole family had 6 rooms booked at the hotel for our loved one funeral service which was on the 8th. That morning of the service which was stressful for us all, the elevators were down and we were on the 4th and 2nd floor worried if they would have the elevators working before the service. We are all highly disappointed with this hotel. The only plus to this facility was the night staff and the buffet attendants. When we checked out we let them know the service was awful and that we will never book at another Home2 Suites. read more

I have been staying at this motel for work since December 2023 and currently. I am moving to another Hilton property in two weeks because of the following: 1) the staff is amazing but the lack of hot water is unbearable. If you ever stay here do not, I repeat do not stay on the left side rooms as you enter. They are lower numbers 1 through 20 or so on any floor unless you like cold showers any time of the day or night. 2) they have no maintenance personnel at all and will never get back to you. read more

I was here for the better part of a week, and I have both good and bad things to note about this newer hotel: GOOD - Clean, comfortable rooms with lots of AC - Shower had great water pressure - Most staff members were kind and welcoming - Free breakfast had excellent variety (some hot items, which changed daily, were unevenly heated up, but it was still a good spread overall) - Easy to use onsite laundry - They give you rolls of quarters in change for your laundry - Decent quality dishwasher - good to have one - Cutlery, bowls, etc. available in every room (the knives are dull and a bit rusty, but I can't expect them to be on top of every piece of silverware in every room at all times) - Awesome blackout shades that were basically fused into the window frame, fulfilling their blackout purpose - Easy, plentiful parking - Good TV with Netflix and YouTube added to it BAD - My room had a strange clicking noise every so often, likely from the bathroom mirror light, but able to be heard even over the AC noise. I asked about this at the front desk, via phone, and I was told "It's a hotel...there will be noise. It isn't gonna be silent." I understand this and it's not my first time at a hotel. I mentioned that some noises make sense in a hotel but this was a bit strange and out of nowhere. This noise also woke me up in the middle of the night a few nights/mornings. - I couldn't call down ever; the room phone would give me a busy signal. - The shower door always rolled back when closed, spraying the floor with water. I mentioned this and they said they'd have someone check it out, but I am not sure this happened, since it kept being an issue - I requested housekeeping for two days in a row (which was met with some incredulity on the phone)...I got it the next day, but not the one after that - VERY hard bed! We stay here when we visit family at least once a month. As Hilton members, we haven't even looked at other options in the area. Creatures of consistency. This time however, the gentlemen who I see clean up in lobby area was socializing with the breakfast attendant. Does this regularly as I have observed in prior visits. You feel like you've invaded his kitchen as his volume commands attention to his conversations. Today, he was bothered because I grabbed 3 cereals and 2 oatmeals to bring up to the room. "One day, I'm going to get myself in trouble", he claims as he alludes to biting his tongue instead of confronting me about my stash. He's having this conversation with the breakfast attendant loud enough for me to hear. I really did not entertain it, but the audacity! Those cereal boxes are so bare, 1 is not enough. What does he think I'm going to do, sell it as opposed to eat it? This was in reference to me, but he's commented on others in the breakfast area before for others to hear. He needs to take his break elsewhere unless he's paid to do exactly what he does in the breakfast area every morning. I am in Yelp looking for other options for next month. read more

One of the front desk clerks( Lazeriaden was the name given) was extremely unprofessional, confrontational, and seemed to want an argument, about a booking issue. The clerk even went so far as to accuse me of having my camera on her and to stop. Confused, I showed her my phone that showed the hotel reservation call I was on hold with; the staff member was completely out of line for the accusation. I kept trying to get to a solution for the booking problem and kept getting met with resistance. I was not asking for a free room, I just wanted a room for the same price I paid the prior night because there was an obvious miscommunication issue on how many nights I needed (two nights, but only one was booked) and the room I was in had now been reserved by someone else; it's not even a money issue, it was the principle of good business practices. I kept coordinating with the reservation line and between a hold, the clerk stated there were cameras with sound that can hear everything. I replied and asked if she was wanting a confrontation because I'm literally standing at the desk doing nothing; I said I'm glad it's recording so someone can review it and hear what's being said. She then proceeds to call her manager but takes the phone to the back where she cannot be heard. After some time she comes back, does some clicking on the computer and states the $200 dollar room that was available will cost $300 (check the cameras for that sound/footage please). I'm done engaging with the desk clerk at this point because I can only guess what she called her manager and said. The reservation line confirmed my new booking which was $198.71 after tax. I'll go ahead and write a complaint with the BBB for the extreme unprofessionalism, the continuous confrontation attempts, and the obvious price gouging the clerk tried to impose. I will email the manager that I believe the clerk spoke with, for full transparency of what happened from my point of view, and would also like to know about that $300 price. I encourage the hotel to review the hotel camera video/sound footage so they can train the employee on how NOT to talk to customers, how NOT to falsely accuse, and how NOT to try and provoke a customer. This complaint had no reflection of the other staff, they were kind and helpful, hotel was nice and clean, but I will follow up with the owner information I have been supplied with. read more

The only reason this site gets a single star is because I can't give it a zero. We made reservations for our son. When he tried to check in, he was told that the hotel overbooked, two of the rooms were out of service, it was a "first-come, first-serve" basis, and they didn't have a room for him. They didn't call to let us know and didn't help to find an alternative. Adding insult to injury, they charged us for the hotel stay. When I called to have the charge reversed, they said they would "get back to me." Radio silence since then. If you have to go to Temple, TX, at least save yourself the horror of attempting to stay at this place. read more

We checked in 5/4 prior to a graduation ceremony we were in town to attend. The room had a putrid wet smell. We contacted the front desk and she came to the room and agreed the smell was awful. She informed us she needed to check her records for the previous person who stayed in the room before anything else could be done to verify they didn't have a dog. After some time the front desk employee informed us they only had a room with one queen bed available which would not fit our family. We asked for two rooms instead and she told us they only had one room left in the entire hotel. She called the manager that was offsite and there was nothing they could do. We asked them to see if they could find us a room at one of the sister properties since there were several grouped together that were also hilton properties. She informed us they had a room that would work for us across the street and we would need to check with them and pay again for a room. She also refused to give us a refund or a print out for charges from our stay; or check us out from the room. She said they couldn't give us a print out because it was booked by a third party, which is absolutely not how it has ever been. Initially she told us they couldn't refund due to booking with Priceline but that she had a special number the hotel could contact and get that processed. After going back and forth several times she then changed her story and said we have to call Priceline ourselves and she refused to do anything else. However, they already checked us in so Priceline can not provide a refund. Terrible staff and disgusting accommodations and I still haven't gotten a refund even though we literally checked in and left within 30 minutes. read more

I loved the easy checkin/out process, but when I got to my room there was still trash from someone else under the sink. It made me question the cleanliness of the room. Also, the shampoo and body wash they provide in the pump container was empty so that was a bit frustrating since I didn't bring any shampoo.
