Staff is very rude and incompetent- takes 45 minutes to CB rack in! I will never stay here again and will certainly avoid all Bear Western places in the future! You must request service for you room at the front desk hopefully they write it down, came back at 4 PM and the room was not cleaned at around 6 PM the manager showed up and apologized for the screw ups of his front desk staff. We shall see how this goes the rest of our stay here. We are staying 8 days and only half way thru the stay. Breakfast was not great mediocre at best, if you like watery egg hits and grits you are in like Flynn. Just not a large selection of choices for breakfast. Checked out with no issue, Manager did me a solid and did not share me a pet fee for my stay so I can assume it was because of the mess up with the room cleaning. Let me share how great their service was to me. When I arrived, I mentioned which company I was with and they immediately knew who I was. Despite me arriving in the morning, they had my room waiting for me, which was a relief because i traveled for about 17 hours (government travel, I tell you). Each room has a kitchenette. I requested a king size bed. There is also a TV area with a couch and coffee table. I requested for my room to be clean Mondays and Thursdays. The room is clean, well-lit and spacious. The staff is ever so helpful especially because I was one of those guests who always had an Amazon package waiting for me. There is continental breakfast with coffee, juice or water. There is H.E.B. for your grocery needs (especially if you're meal prepping). There are nearby eats but the weather is hot, so I sometimes did Uber eats or Door dash if I didn't have the rental car. This Inn does take care of their guests and will make sure your stay is comfortable.

There's a small piece of ripped up paper taped to the far end of the counter that you are expected to find. Prices do NOT reflect the severe lack of amenities, and the desk clerk said there was nothing she could do about it. Save your money and just go 4 miles into Killeen for something better. Not worth the $169 we paid after taxes.

We signed up for these adventures to make the weekend even more fun: 1. Feed baby kangaroo(Bodhi). This was about a 30 minute session where we got to feed him a bottle and kibble. It really was an amazing experience. 2. Bucket of food and self guided feeding of animals. We walked the property and hid to feed so many animals. All of the animals were friendly toward people. They were all very good motivated. We encountered a giraffe, donkeys, zebras, horses, cows, pigs, dwarf steers, camels, emu, deer, buffalo and more. The animals were often trying to bully their way to the front of the line. The cow Oreo who has not skipped a meal was always front of the line. 3. Afternoon safari ride in ATV. This was a fun ride around the property. Did not see any new animals but had a great time. The cows out at pasture were thrilled to be fed. 4. Giraffe encounter and meal. This was a little expensive but I would spend it again. The giraffes were super friendly and personable. We wanted to take them home because they were so much fun. The guide, experience and never felt rushed made this worth it. Our guide was top notch. I think her name was Jackie but could be wrong.
