They also don't serve breakfast and they do not inform you that most of the amenities are not in service. There's a small piece of ripped up paper taped to the far end of the counter that you are expected to find. Prices do NOT reflect the severe lack of amenities, and the desk clerk said there was nothing she could do about it. Save your money and just go 4 miles into Killeen for something better. Not worth the $169 we paid after taxes.

I wanted to throw up thinking about the things that DEFINITELY happened in the bed!!!! We called the front desk and explained the very uncomfortable situation we were just faced with. The man at the front desk immediately got us moved (god bless). We asked if maybe we could get some sort of compensation for the night, but he wasn't a manager. Our new room was nicer, but there was a live bug on the floor missing a leg in our bathroom, moths, and a spider in the bed. We were still unsettled for the rest of the weekend. I mean there were ANAL BEADS. I'm still in shock. In our new room, the mini fridge was nearly freezing everything we put in it but not cold enough to keep frozen stuff frozen. We tried to speak to the manager directly, but she was never there, so the staff gave us a business card. My boyfriend called the number on the card for Marjorie Randall after we checked out. And this woman had the most unnecessary, unprofessional, just overall nasty, rude attitude. She was cutting him off and not letting him get a word in. She told him that our night was not ruined. Having to pack up our bags in the middle of the night when we were ready to go to sleep was definitely a buzz kill. She said incidents like this have happened before and we were reacting worse than anyone else previously had. (??????what??????) She said we were not going to get the 2 free nights we were demanding. We were very clearly asking her to comp 1 night and that was all we asked from the beginning, but she was not letting him speak. After that, we realized we weren't going to get any help. This is a great place to stay if you're looking to get freaky or do some crack. But I wouldn't recommend bringing the kids or trying to have a nice, calm weekend here. The staff were friendly, but the management blatantly does not care about their business. Just go somewhere else, you're better off.

Here's the highlights: there was hair in both bed sheets (sheets never changed), the bathroom was disgusting (rust and mildew on light over sink; urine stained caulking, etc), urine on the tub caulk, bathroom ceiling vent covered in layers of dust, stains on the lamp. I also don't think the hotel hallways have air conditioning. Beds are a joke. I sat on the edge of one the mattress folded and flipped you on ground. Both mattress are loud and they had caved in body outlines - who knows how many years old they are. Bright side? Lobby was redone and pool looked inviting. I would never stay here again.

The otter swim/playtime experience was originally what drew us, and it was even better than I'd imagined. Worth every penny! Then we got to feed and pet the capybaras, which were way friendlier than I thought they would be! The babies enjoyed some extra belly rubs too. Bottle feeding the kangaroo was so fun too- little Dundee was SO soft and loved all the pets, even gave us kisses! The giraffes were super friendly and greeted us every time we were nearby; feeding and getting quality time with them was an extra treat. The safari ride tour was also amazing- 5 of us fit comfortably and got to feed/see lots of animals that we wouldn't normally get to experience. We were surprised at how this place wasn't crowded at all in the middle of July when it is peak vacation season, so it really felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. They also have a beautiful main lodge area that is comfortable and welcoming with additional animals to enjoy.

Got $50/night through the Hopper app. PROS: --------- (1) Room has fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, hair dryer, ironing board, iron. (2) Laminate floor, not carpet (easier to clean) (3) Nice crown moulding (4) Walking distance to lots of restaurants. HEB 3 miles away. CONS: ---------- (1) Floor was filthy. I wiped the whole thing down with a hand towel and it turned black. (2) Smoke alarm disconnected. Straight up illegal. (3) Door isn't tight to the frame, because the strikeplate isn't positioned properly. This means there's a gap around the door, which lets bugs and hot/cold air through. Hence the sign at reception, "No refund will be given for cricket in room." (4) Tub stopper missing. Impossible to take a bath. For that matter, the sink stopper was also missing. (5) Ceiling repair done badly. Someone was too lazy (or unskilled) to even spray it with a can of popcorn texture. (6) Paint on walls is chipped in multiple places, stain on bathtub. There was a safe in the room but it's not operational because the batteries are dead.
