This is a clean modern hotel with comfortable beds. Breakfast was a joy. Especially appreciated the kindness of the staff members and their professionalism. It is located close to the interstate but drivers will need to negotiate through McDonald's parking area which can be a little tricky. read more

This hotel is exactly what you'd expect for the daily rate. I would stay again. Just don't have high expectations.

Bed Bugs and Butt Plugs! We came in on a Sunday night to find a bed bug on our pillow. We were moved to a different room, which had a different surprise found when waking... a petite purple butt plug by the night stand. I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry at this point. The least they could've done is thrown it in a dishwasher and put one of those "sanatized by Lysol" stickers on, but we also discovered those sticker don't mean anything... see the picture of the attached remote. read more

Came down to visit family for a few days and have had a GREAT stay. Decided to wait until my last night just to make sure it wasn't too good to be true. Every single staff member that I encountered was absolutely wonderful, friendly and helpful! The manager knows his job and looks to be super supportive of staff (New employee called him one night when i had a question). My room was very clean and well-maintained. Entire hotel is soooo much better than my last hotel choice last time I was in Temple. Location is extremely convenient as it's across from Target/more stores and has a Chili's, Ihop, and McDonald's right in the same driveway. Easy to get to the highway too. The included breakfast was good and had something for everyone. The fitness center is one of the BEST I've used in any hotel! Super clean, well-stocked and updated equipment. This will definitely be my choice of hotel any time I have to come back to town. read more

Terrible location. No direct access....like everything else in Texas. Elevator out of service as was the ice machine. Hallways were about 85 degrees. Great military discount. Decent breakfast. Just an average hotel. Not great but not awful. read more

I was surprised. I had not been to Temple in many years and was sadly contemplating for us to be in the area for 2 nights without much of a choice of accommodations. The Lady and I like a Hampton for high stress or early rising and find their beds quite comfortable. This is one that is only a few years old and we were pleased. Despite the crazy parking lot navigation, we were cheerfully greeted as I had made the reservation several weeks ago, had talked to the front desk a couple of times, and even got the exact room we wanted. The staff was simply wonderful. For the very first time in a USA mid-range hotel, they even offered and pushed our fully loaded cart to our room as they could tell we were exhausted. While we normally try for a suite, this location does not have suites at this time. The room was absolutely spotless. Extra requests had been made and had been executed. Breakfast was good and the staff in the breakfast area quite charming and friendly. Any spot in the food area, were someone might spill or splatter something was instantly cleaned. We spent the day outside of the hotel, reconnoitering where we were supposed to meet with others the next day as there was a massive amount of construction in Temple taking place. That night we ate out at a local restaurant. The next day, up and at it. We were gone the whole day and upon returning we were so tired we just wanted to order delivery. We asked the front desk for recommendations and they recommended a locally owned pizza joint, which made a quick delivery and it was absolutely delicious. In addition, we made a future reservation for the exact same room. The next day we were back on the road again. All in all, we were really happy with our stay. Others who had not made reservations were helped to find rooms at other locations as they were completely booked. Bottom line, customer service, housekeeping and enthusiasm fully deserved a good rating. While we were disappointed not to have a suite where one of us could go to bed early, the hotel staff made up for that disappointment. A round of applause to all. read more

The customer service at this hotel was abysmal. The woman who checked us in at 7pm on 7/6/2020 was immediately rude and treated me with tremendous disrespect. If I wanted to receive such poor quality service I would have stayed at a rodeway inn or a motel 6. read more

I've stayed at this Hampton Inn several times while I go to my appointments at the Baylor Scott & White Hospital transplant center. Each time has been a very enjoyable experience from check in to check out. I have to commend the young lady at the front desk( I remembered her name until I started to write this review) I think her name was Kayla for going above and beyond in taking care of me at check in on 5/19. Outstanding service. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is convenient and free. The hotel has breakfast with waffles, eggs, assorted pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit. The best part of breakfast was the Nice gal with the short gray hair that kept everything ship shape and made sure everyone had what they needed. There is a business center that was quite convenient. I had just stayed at a Ritz Carlton two weeks prior and felt more appreciated at this Hampton Inn. A nice, newer Hampton Inn in Temple, TX. Very near I-35 and a few restaurant and other options. I tried this hotel since it's about equal distance (from the one in South Waco) to the site where I work while in TX, and much closer to the Austin airport--which is great when I'm rolling in at midnight from a flight. Because of the location, I don't think I'd be super excited to stay here long-term...but it's fine for 1 night. The road to the hotel is a little wonky, so it took a couple tries to figure out how to pull up to it, especially with all the construction going on around it. read more

Stayed three nights on business. Hotel and grounds are clean. Stayed in a room on the 4th floor and it was nice and quiet. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn fare so no complaints. They have a nice outdoor pool which I did not partake in but did relax on a lounge chair. WiFi is free and worked well. Enjoyed the high top tables downstairs to allow for work to get done with my colleagues. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the location is very convenient. read more

First, let me say...I'm a Hilton Honors Diamond member, so I stay frequently in Hampton Inns. The staff here are the friendliest and most outgoing I have encountered. I'm here on Memorial Day weekend, so the hotel was sold out. While enjoying my morning coffee in the lobby, I observed the front desk clerk assisting a guest on the phone with getting connected to the internet. She was very patient and ultimately offered to come to the room to assist. I observed the maintenance man collecting trash and pleasantly interacting with nearby guests. So thankful for his deeds as the breakfast area was full of guests and the trash bins would have been overflowing. Most of all, the woman overseeing the breakfast area (Allison) was the kindest and most efficient I have seen. She managed the huge crowd, keeping breakfast items stocked, tables cleaned, and always with a smile and offer of assistance. When I thanked her for her service and attitude, she gave me a big hug. Great customer service is something I really appreciate and enjoy recognizing. In this case, these dedicated employees helped set the tone for the rest of my day and holiday weekend. When I had another problem with another local Marriott property, Chris at the Hampton Inn got me in to a room at this property ASAP. I stayed here for almost two weeks, and had a very good experience. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and hotel is well located to restaurants and most of Temple. The only issues experienced were 4 things: the hallways get very loud at night because many people seem to check-in late, parking is crowded and do not park under the trees (birds roost there at night), housekeeping is touch and go with restocking items in the room, and the checkout process was not great. I had to checkout at 3am to make an early flight out of Dallas (and the two hour drive there), and no one was at the front desk. I waited for 15 minutes, and no one showed up. I just had to leave a note and my room key at the desk, so that kind of sucked. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel over many of the others in Temple. read more

Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms. Breakfast had a nice assortment of cold and hot food and the whole breakfast area was kept tidy and supplied by the nicest lady. While we were sitting in the break area having breakfast and chatting, she checked on if we needed more coffee or anything. Really sweet. The location is a little weird in that you have to go through the McDonald's and Chili's parking lot to get to it. read more

Hampton Inn front desk worked with us to make sure we had a room when we were informed it would take another day to work on the car. My brother attends school at UMHB in Belton so we opted to stay nearby at this Hampton Inn location. The hotel itself is a little hard to find because it is located in the same parking lot as the McDonald's and IHOP, but that is my only complaint. The hotel staff are very friendly and go above and beyond the call of duty. The breakfast is outstanding, as they have lots of great options. The rooms are very clean and modern. There are plenty of wall outlets and even outlets on the lamps so you don't have to fight for a spot to plug in your electronics. The bathrooms come equipped not only with the standard toiletries, but also include a shower cap and a makeup type kit for items the ladies may have forgotten. They also provide complimentary toothbrushes, razors, combs, etc if you forget those. The beds are very comfortable as well. In addition, it is located in a great spot. There are lots of restaurants (sit down and quick service) and several shopping areas. I noticed that the price varies (which is normal) based on the activities going on at UMHB and/or Baylor. We booked the room at a great rate of $100. Overall, this is a great place to stay. read more
