Refrigerator would only get to sixty six degrees. Ice machine on third floor did not work.

This was the nastiest place I have ever stayed. The carpets through out the lobby, hallways, and rooms look like they have not been vacuumed in years! There was HAIR on the sheets, in the shower and in the sink. When I questioned the security of the hotel, the person checking us in became very rude and said "are you calling my hotel trashy?"..... yes sir, yes sir I am. Hotels in the area were SOLD out do to a convention at the Expo center and we had no choice, but I have never felt so disgusting staying at a Marriott hotel. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to give this hotel three stars because the employees working at this hotel are giving 5 star customer service. However, Marriot has built a hotel that isnt 5 star quality. My mom and I had the unfortunate pleasure to patronize this hotel when they had a bussle of school age cheerleader competitors in the building. I don't mind kids at all, BUT what I do not tolerate is the extensive noise that we experienced on the 1st floor throughout the night. The bumping, running, and slamming of doors was too much to bear the 2nd night. Mind you, I shared my disatisfaction after the 1st night and was told that I would not have that issue the following night as we decided to extend our stay to check on a family member at a nearby hospital. That was NOT the case at all. In fact, there were more kids the 2nd night of our stay and more noise to boot! We came in late from the hospital and all I wanted to do is lay down. Nope--couldnt do it. The noise was unbearable and I was quite upset, especially since I had called the front desk already and complained of the noise and they stated they were aware of it and handling it. An hour later, it seemed it was way worse than before, so it was not handled. At that point in the evening, I had two choices--asked to be moved or confront the adults "supervising" the kids. If one adult had already confronted the issue and it was only getting worse, my involvement would not make it better. Plus I was too tired to pack and move, so I just decided to ask for some headache medicine to knock myself out the rest of the night. The front desk did oblige, apologized for the inconvenience, and once I returned to my room, she called and told me if there was anything else I needed, let her know--adding that she knocked some money off my bill for this night's stay. I did appreciate the gesture, but I can't fathom that peope would be so rude as to let children behave this way. My last conclusion--it's the construction of the building. As it is, the rooms do not have carpetting. The room door is so heavy, you'd be apted to let it close on its own, causing a great amount of noise too. The walls and insulation are probably paper thin too, not helping the situation. Although I feel part of the problem was the overly active kids on the upper floors, I also feel the construction of the building is poor. Lots of great amenities, but poorly contructed to get a good night's rest. This is what I attempted to communicate to Marriot's customer service department weeks ago, and I still have not received a repsonse. As a result, I will not patronize with Marriot and affilited hotels in the future. I will stick with the Hilton brand for sure, but if you decide to come here and the other guests are less active and heavy footed, you'll enjoy a nice substancial continental breakfast, plenty of eating space to partake of it, clean rooms with nice comfy sheets, and accomodations for an extended stay such as a well equiped kitchenette. Additionally, the gym is a nice size and includes plenty of WORKING and clean equipment. I applaude all the employees whom I directly and indirectly came in contact with during my stay, but Marriots customer service could have at least acknowledged my comments and suggestions in making their hotels better. Disregard for customers will not keep one in business in the long run. read more

I been in the Army for 21 years now and PCS more than once in my military career. Whatever you do not stay at this hotel. The rooms are dirty, then do not come by and clean the rooms. The night shift is rude and disrespectful. The night stay on the phone all night watching tv and texting. Again whatever you do not stay here at all. read more

Yet again another hotel with horrible internet. But this hotel has to have one of the worst internet connects I have experienced. And I travel for work so I have stayed in a lot of hotels. The internet will be up. Then it just drops with no internet connection at all. Sorry but not sorry this should be resolved. Pros. Room is clean. Customer service so far is good. read more

People were great and the rooms were very nice with a lot of convenient amenities. There was free breakfast in the morning just off the lobby. The workout area was a bit small, but had everything I needed. read more

So I came into town on short notice and every Marriott Hotel I called in Killeen and most in Temple were fully booked ( I'm a Marriott Rewards Member). I called this hotel and right off rip the woman that picked up was trying her hardest to accommodate my mother and I, her name is Jen and she was my angel today. Jen was soooooo helpful. She said she had something for me and I told her to please hold it and I was driving from Killeen, well Jen honored her word and did what she said she was going to do, as a military man that meant so much to me. She took her time with me when I got there and did everything, I mean everything she could to help me, and I truly appreciate her for that. Jen made me feel like a superstar. The hotel is clean and in a pretty good location for food and easy access to the highway. I had to take a selfie with this angel. Thank you Jen for representing your organization well. read more

My family and I stayed here for a week, I have never met such a nice staff. All of the girls at the front desk were so friendly, and always went out of there way to accommodate us in what ever we needed. That goes for the housekeeping, so friendly and nice. I can't tell if it is negligence or incompetence. The first day here we had to change rooms due to uncleanliness of the beds. The biggest problem was one pillow had a giant wet stain on it. When presented to the front desk we were told it was from a water leak. So, did you know of the problem and just didn't address or are you just guessing as there were no indications of leaks either present or past? Then, the same night, I call to ask about the crib I had requested when making my reservation. I was told that they weren't cribs, but, instead, pack-n-plays (which is ok with me). However, this didn't matter as she didn't know where they were and would have to wait until the morning to request one be brought to us by the housekeeping service. The next morning, at about 0900, room service attempted to enter our room. A number of issues came from this. Firstly, none of us heard any announcement as housekeeping typically does so you don't think a creep is trying to break in. Secondly, upon hearing our dog bark she seemingly walked away although we called out that we were putting her away. Did she not know that we had pets? Is there not a protocol put into place for the staff to handle when guests have pets? This IS a pet friendly hotel, right? Isn't that why I am paying a pet fee!? So, my wife informed the front desk, as the housekeeper had already vanished, that we would be putting our pets in their kennels and leaving so they could tend to our room. We come back after a few hours to find our room had not been cleaned and we had locked up our pets FOR NO REASON! Tonight is our second night here, yes we are still here due to availability circumstances, and we receive a noise complaint as our baby was crying. Could this be because we are STILL without the "CRIB" and are therefore making our baby uncomfortable because we have to nuild a fort around her to keep her from falling off the bed?! I think so. I am in the military and, as such, have had to deal with a number of moves with my family from base to base. Never have I had such a disconnect between the staff and customers as well as staff to staff. In a previous hotel stay the hotel had special signs we would hang on the door knob alerting the staff of pets so they wouldn't accidentally let them out. Maybe you should adopt this practice. I made a 30 day reservation and by day two I am posting a review. Once a vacancy pops up at another hotel we are out of here! Don't come here if you have an infant or pets. read more

The rooms are clean the hotel is nice the front desk staff is friendly and helpful but I have to complain about the internet and the thin walls. The internet drops easily 10 times a day and they can never seem to get it fixed I stay here on a weekly basis and have this problem every single day. Also the hotel is less than a hundred yards away from a railroad crossing so unless you love to hear train horns you may want to request a room on the front of the hotel but even there it's quite loud.also the walls and floors are thin so unless you're staying on the top floor expect to hear a herd of Buffalo above you. read more

Horrible hotel if you're looking for a extended stay hotel. Instead of charging you a 1 time fee, they will check you out and check you back in every 4 days and continuously charge your card. The night shift girl is extremely rude and lazy. My husband walked over to buy something to drink 1 night and she let out a huge sigh. She was watching a video on her phone and didn't want to be bother. Additionally, at night she charge the debit cards and my husband had a question because this checking out and in followed by a thanks for your stay, when we have days left at this hotel was ridiculous. The girl on night shift gave my 41 year old husband and attitude and asked if he stayed at a hotel before. My husband decided to speak with a manager and was advised that we shouldn't be charged anymore because our stay was pretty much paid at this point and we had 2 nights lefts. Unfortunately, our last night stay we woke up to another 600.00 pending charge and we immediately noticed the rude girl sitting in the lobby. She wasn't there the previous night which is why we didn't wake up to no bogus charge on our card. I think this hotel is extremely unprofessional and lack hospitality. The cleaning service place pillow cases on your bed with blood splatters and the carpet disgusting and smell foul so wear slippers at all times. read more
