We are located at 27 Blacksmith Rd. Newtown, Pa. My job responsibilities are vast, but mainly being responsible to the partnership with ANY & ALL issues relating to our 40,000 +/- sq ft building. The sole reason for writing this post: The internet! I needed an experienced electrician to install and wire the burglar/fire alarms, video surveillance,non-functioning intercoms fixed and a complete back-up generator system for our building. I always report to the partners and take full responsibility for getting the best price and workmanship, so of course, i was seeking multiple bids. Because of the size and nature of complexity of this project, I went to the internet looking for positive contractor feedback; yellow pages, Angies list, etc..I came across another site called "Yelp". There was comment about one of my bidding contractors, Dave Funk. Dave is from Newtown electronics. He is a local guy and I heard great things about his business and his integrity. I have worked with so many contractors in my life for commercial and residential projects so I knew what to look for and what I wanted. When Dave came out to the job site to quote me a bid, I asked about the post on "yelp". He explained EVERYTHING to me. Lets just say, he got the job. This project was difficult and complex, as there were so many different issues that needed to be dealt with, yet when the smoke cleared, everything was finished to perfection. Dave is probably hands down the most skilled, professional contractor I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. He kept in constant contact, explained all the issues (so I could understand) throughout the entire project and made me look like a hero to the partnership and was the lowest bid. If you are considering a professional, cheap, honest and experienced electrician, call Dave Funk at Newtown electronics. This is the first (and probably the last) time I will ever write about someone in my life on a posting site, but after reading "yelp" and then hiring and working with Dave, I wanted to write this. Dave Funk is truly the best contractor across the board I have ever worked with in my entire life. It's great to have a site like "yelp" so people can easily find a reputable contractor or not!

The home did not have a wired electric doorbell which was required for my cameras, and Adam (owner of 1 Solution AV) was quick to reach out. I had initially asked for recommendations for electrician but appreciated that he reached out privately to explain what I would need done. Adam immediately offered to come over and look at what I would need done and provided a free estimate. His communication / response time was quick and professional. Throughout the estimate he was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. After receiving the quote, he provided his card and without pressuring whatsoever said to call if I was interested. I reached out the same day to get scheduled. He was again quick to respond and booked me within the same week. He even reached out again to help move my installation to a Sunday morning due to the weather forecast. The installation went smoothly and quickly, and he was professional throughout the entire experience. We had some hiccups with the security system equipment (no fault of his own) and he was quick to assist as I spoke to the security system customer service. I would highly recommend Adam and 1 Solution AV and will absolutely use again for any additional services as we get settled into our new home.

PTZ cameras failed several times from day one, he fixed it one time but after that he said he's not going to do it he wants more money. When I did my research I found it a lot of red flags with wire connection and wire installations was not done correctly. He tried to blame in me I did something. I even paid for a professional site survey from another company , which clearly outlined what needed to be corrected: 1. Add surge protectors on the NVR and the switch in the sauna. 2. Replace the PTZ camera with 2 fixed lens cameras (or at least upgrade to higher gauge wiring). 3. Re-run cables at least 1 ft away from power lines to prevent interference. 4. Add new cable for an additional camera. 5. Install backyard cameras in a proper criss-cross setup. 6. Update firmware to the latest version and reprogram all cameras. 7. Activate microphones and post required "Audio & Video Recording" notices. 8. Enable WDR and adjust motion sensitivities. 9. Rewire the PTZ camera inside the garage--current wiring is overtightened with staples, wrong gauge wire, and unstable connectors. 10. Entire wire needs to be removed and install correctly to avoid any interference and damages in future . All of these are basic corrections to remove hazards and bring the system up to standard.
