Shout out to Citidel Alarm company. They called me proactively today to let me know my alarm stopped communicating with their local control center. They sent a tech out immediately who was able to fix at no charge. If you are looking for an alarm company they are the most budget friendly but have excellent response time and customer service. Basically a one man show business. I wanted to give the little guy some business, but after their smoke detector fell out of the ceiling due to their faulty install and them charging my wife $175 with no advance notice is shameful. Come replace a smoke detector that wasn't installed properly, demand $175 at end of install, then wouldn't even give a receipt. Once I called them out on their bully tactics they canceled my fully paid monitoring service that I had 4 months left on the subscription. All because I told them I wanted my money back and come remove the smoke detector, leaving my family and home unsecure and unprotected. These people should be ashamed of themselves. Go to ADT or some other before choosing this company. read more

We had previously switched to Citadel when we lived in Holland PA because they were local. When we built in Philadelphia, we used Citadel to prewire the security system for our new home. We couldn't be more happy with it. They accommodated our rather unique and specific needs for partitioning our building. Their monitoring is very effective, and they have even called us proactively when they detected a sensor malfunction. If you use Citadel, make sure you get the cellular/internet interface. The confidence of being able to set and monitor the home while away is very worthwhile, in addition to the added security since it doesn't rely on a wired connection to alert police/fire/rescue. read more

My family chose Citadel Security to provide us with protection and peace of mind. They were referred to us by friends, and are a local company. They also have been in the Alarm business for over 40 years. (impressive and rare) They don't use any sub contractors for their installations, or their monitoring services. (it was nice to know their people were coming to our home) The monitoring station called my wife to tell us that one of our batteries was getting low. 2 days later I popped the cover off to change the battery and Citadel called within seconds to ask who was tampering with the sensor. I made an appointment with the owner, through his office, to look at our house and give us an estimate. I was told that he only takes appointments during business hours. I explained that I would be using vacation hours for the appointment and therefore wanted his last appointment of the day. I was given an appointment time of 4:30. He apparently changed our appointment to mid-morning so that he could take the afternoon off, but either he never told the office or they never told me. He showed up in the morning and was very mad that no one was home. After hearing his rude and frankly, given the circumstances, abnormally angry message for me, I contacted him to explain that either he or his office had made the mistake. He refused to acknowledge that this could be anyone else's fault but mine. Not that I think he would have been willing to reschedule, but at that point I was afraid to let him in my house. I've been in the customer service business for over 25 years. I never have, nor would I consider displaying anger or insisting that the customer was wrong, even though they often are wrong. If the office deleted all evidence of the fact that there was a 4:30 appointment, he should have at least given me the benefit of the doubt. read more

Mr and mrs business and associates have been blessed to have found after looking around for 15 years the world famous citadel security!! There is no place in the USA like them They always show up on time for any service whatsoever They secured our pharmacies , clothing stores and our homes!! Their response time when we needed them ( at the pharmacy for example) is the fastest in the country My response was how do you call us the split second the alarm is going off? My response in the pharmacy was we hit the panic button they had the police save us numerous times!!!! ( we even had them caught and put away) Then we went with the tc connect and it's something that we were not aware of , it's unreal!!! We always recommend no phone lines!! The internet by the time your done is free!! We don't use house phones anymore, but the internet direct connect is safer and quicker!! I chose Citadel initially due to price and that they didn't require a long term contract like some of the national alarm companies. The installation went perfectly and the system blends in with the house. I don't know if it's because they do their own monitoring or that they're local or their technology but whenever our system would go off (usually due to our own fault) we would receive a call from Citadel within seconds. When I need to call in for a question or service call, they're always friendly and prompt. I have moved a couple times since the first system I purchased and I have called them to install systems immediately in my new home. They give me peace of mind. read more
