Our place is fairly new and minimal work needed to be done but we have pets who have taken a toll on our stairs. With little to no knowledge of stairs or how to repair a large chunk of wood missing from my pup chewing (GRRRR), I needed a professional to come in and take a look and assess what needs to be done. After several failed attempts to get a handyman that does both wood/wall and carpet on stairs, we came across Gunn. He was quick to respond and came out to take a look and give a quote. After a very thorough look and rundown of what can be done, We decided to go with him. Gunn is very professional and seems passionate about his line of work. After approving his quote, we scheduled a day to come out and him to get to work. He got straight to it once he arrived. We did our best to stay out of the way while he worked so we hung out around the neighborhood since he was working on our stairs. He tackled the chewed wood on the wall with a composite materials which he sanded down to match the existing wood and then painted it over. While he was doing that he was also pulling the old carpet and putting in the new stuff. Before we knew it, he was done. We looked it over together and went over any potential issues. Gunn insisted that if we were unhappy with anything to give him a call and he would be happy to take a look. We were very much satisfied with the finished product and thankful for the professional service we received. I can see myself reaching out to Gunn in the future if I need a handyman for a task that I'm not skilled in. Thanks for the work, Gunn!

Beautiful patio cover. Unfortunately, the customer service and lack of response to our concerns was…read moreextremely disappointing after installation. We had to send multiple emails, leave numerous voicemails, and practically beg for a return call. The office manager was just awful to deal with. Very unprofessional and condescending with no way to speak to customers. It's not what you say it's how you say it. "We are not going to do that to fix the problem" (after two professionals came and looked at) was given instead of "I'm sorry, our warranty doesn't cover that". And hearing from their repair person this is a common design flaw was not at all comforting. Don't waste your time asking for the owner to call you. You WON'T get a call back. And expect many visits from a repairman to temporarily address the same problems, without actually resolving them, until you eventually just give up trying to get a company to stand behind its product. We chose CW Designs because we wanted to support a small local business, not because we were looking to save money (the other quotes we received was cheaper). Major regrets. We could have saved money and probably ended up with a patio cover better suited for Northern California rain. The cover looks beautiful, but when it rains here in Northern California, the gutters can't keep up, and we end up putting buckets at the corners to catch the water. Apparently, that's our solution. So here we are........Beautiful cover. Can't wait to take out the Eye-sore buckets for the upcoming rainy season and looking forward to emptying the buckets daily ........for the last three years now....... a great conversation piece when guests come over. Terrible customer service. Will not recommend to my worst enemy.

The best part is that the wall and door look 100% like they were built when we got the house, down to the texture of the wall and the color of the paint. It doesn't look like we got it a few years later at all. Very happy with Dale and will absolutely reach out again for any future projects.

We have now used GTL Construction for several projects, and every experience has been outstanding…read more Most recently, we hired them to replace our front entry door. We wanted to upgrade from a standard builder-grade door to a custom entry door and called GTL. Alicia took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for, and Tommy promptly came out to assess our existing door. He made excellent suggestions, guided us through the available options, and provided resources that helped us choose the perfect door for our home. Once we made our selection, the order was placed immediately. As soon as the door arrived, GTL coordinated delivery and scheduled the installation around our preferred date. Their attention to detail throughout the entire process was exceptional. They replaced the door, frame, threshold, trim, hardware, and even painted everything to match perfectly. I was particularly concerned about removing and replacing the frame because our home has stucco exterior walls. I expected some visible signs of the work, but when Tommy was finished, it looked like the house had been built around the new door from day one. The craftsmanship was flawless. What really stood out was Tommy's commitment to perfection. I didn't realize how many little quirks and imperfections our old door had until the new one was installed. We had simply grown accustomed to them over the years. Now, it's genuinely satisfying to open and close a perfectly fitted, precisely tuned door that operates effortlessly. Tommy is truly a craftsman and a perfectionist in the best possible way. Alicia was equally wonderful to work with. She was responsive, organized, and kept us on track with all the selections, colors, hardware options, and details needed to keep the project moving smoothly. In addition, we have two custom-built gates that were showing their age but are incredibly unique and meaningful to us. My wife convinced Tommy to take on the challenge of rebuilding them. I'm not even sure if that's a service they normally offer, but they wanted to help. The rebuilt gates are better than new and will likely last for many years to come. It's rare to find a company that combines exceptional craftsmanship, great communication, reliability, and genuine pride in their work. GTL Construction delivers on all of it. We would not hesitate to recommend them and will absolutely use them again for future projects.

To note, Emilia's floor measuring was much faster than other competitors we consulted with! We were looking for speed, affordability, customer service, and quality - with FCI and Emilia, we were able to get all 4! Just moved recently to Roseville and needed to replace ALL carpeted areas in our 2 story home. Emilia was very patient and spent time to educate us, showcase multiple samples, and even honored our request to provide a few quotes up front. One quote would be officially sent officially and you can always change things up later before submitting your deposit, but this initial gesture to have several quotes was very important to us (as it should be for everyone). For comparison, Home Depot's representative can only officially provide one quote and their price is only locked for "one day!" (Hint: It never is, they'll try to come back for your business later). With Emilia's professionalism and patience, we went with FCI. Once our carpets arrived, FCI's fantastic 2-man team of installers were able to complete our 2 story house project in ONE day. 2 days were scheduled for the process, but thankfully this hardworking team got it all done in one day. This was a huge sigh of relief in a family of 6 (2 of which are toddler). Just make sure you do a thorough walk-through to identify areas of concern as this is quite an investment. FCI and Emilia can also assist with professional carpet cleaning! Have extra carpet hanging around? FCI can also make custom rugs out of it so they can match your current carpeting. Wonderful!
