He came out with his team and leveled our sub floor, screwed down all the sub floor plywood to ensure squeak-free flooring, and they did the actual install of our entire upstairs (about 650 sq. ft) in a DAY. We were thrilled with the work, pleased with the price, and honestly, excited to meet another small business owner who was such a hard worker! I was also impressed that he installed the LVP flooring in such a way that we will not need transition pieces into our tiled bathroom flooring (see pictures). We are very very happy with our floors done by Serge and his team! It's beautiful, and it feels like a brand new home. We were getting quotes from different small flooring businesses in the area. Serge came and submitted his bid, and we decided to go with him, as he was by far the most reasonable, and he was the only one who even mentioned leveling and prepping the floors. PLUS, he includes the baseboards in his quote! We decided to give them a try. He quoted about 2 days when most said 4-5 days of labor. He recommended a spot to buy the material from, and left us to select the flooring material. There were other companies that offered to meet us at the tile store to help select, and deliver, but I think Serge is just too busy to do that. So we selected luxury vinyl from California Unique Design, and had it delivered for a fee. On the day of, 3 members from Serge's team came and started demo on our carpet, tile and hardwood. They were all very hardworking and finished it in half a day or so. After that, Serge called me and told me that the floor needed a lot of leveling, so he needed to charge us an extra $2.00/sqf for that labor. Serge stopped by at the end of the day and made sure the work had been done correctly. The crew forgot to turn the stove back on so we can cook over the weekend, but thankfully Serge came by so he was able to help out. Serge and another person came on Sunday and worked on laying the flooring all day. He even cut the baseboard to fit around our low outlets. They finally finished most of it and left around 6pm. The flooring looked very very nice. Igor came on Monday morning to finish the baseboards and quarter rounds etc. There were some low spots and some missed quarter rounds, so I contacted Serge and he came out to do an injection the following day. He told me he wanted to make sure we were completely happy with the job, and to call him if anything bothers us at all, he would be happy to come back and fix it. I am so glad Serge was able to check the final work, I feel a lot better being able to talk about my concerns about the finished work in person. He genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. I've read reviews of how some companies go cricket after you've paid and want to address some concerns. Serge is not like that! When we bought our home, we thought it would be a good idea to replace the carpet (which ran wall to wall) with laminate flooring except for our bedrooms, which we thought would benefit from having carpet as it would help keep the rooms warm in the cold northeast california winters...fast forward a few years and after cleaning the carpets multiple times and trying to keep them as clean as possible, the stains that accumulated on the carpet remained and so we decided to finally do what we should have done in the first place: replace the carpets in the room with laminate flooring. As with all our home projects, I turned to Yelp and solicited quotes from a bunch of companies. I got a few quotes back from some big name companies and even smaller local ones, but all of them were very high. I saw SGK Floors as one of the results but at first hesitated when I saw they only had one review. I took a chance and sent an email to SGK Floors to see what they could come up with. The owner, Serge, replied within a few minutes asking for details and set up an appointment to come out a few days later. I figured it wouldn't hurt getting one last quote and it was truly a blessing that I found SGK Floors. Serge came out and took measurements which totaled 600 sq. ft. of space and gave us a quote. At first I thought that maybe it was a mistake as it was VERY competitive compared to the other quotes I got, but Serge confirmed that the price was indeed what he would charge me to do the work. Again I was bit hesitant but we set the appointment for the following week. Serge kept in constant contact with me and answered all the questions I threw at him. Incredible & impeccable work ! Extremely happy with the work. From the very beginning, which started with the measurement, Sergey was very professional, accurate and impeccable, detailing every steps of implementation. The quoting for the project sounded very confident, accurate to the measurements Sergey was taking with no sign of manipulation at all. It was also very economical for us, quite close to the range we had in mind. Later when the work started, we brought up one more small section of flooring area that we had forgotten in the beginning to mention. We had few spare materials for it in the garage and Sergey was gentlemen enough to accommodate that in the same price that he had provided earlier. We were amazed with this gracious behavior. Sergey and his team were great from start to finish. After getting quotations from like 30+ contractors and suppliers in six months time, we decided to go with SGK Floors (Sergey). The reason being Sergey's attitude, dealing, professionalism, commitment and of course rates that he quoted. We were almost to buy luxury vinyl planks (LVP) material from somewhere as well until Sergey showed some water plastic composite (WPC) LVP options which we decided to go with for a very reasonable price he quoted. As a first impression when Sergey and his team showed up, I was like, what are these bunch of young kids gonna do with my project but then you realize that these kids have skills. We had almost 1200 sqft of area (floor tiles and carpet) which was removed the first day and prepped. The next 3 days, Sergey and his team installed a water proofing sheet (on my request) before installing the LVP. We also got wide baseboards installed which were also painted by SGK Floors. One of the most important thing I liked about SGK Floors was the detailing they did and did not cut corners even at places where they could have had (such as the closet areas). They had number of measuring and shaping tools which was neat and made the work look precise. The team was always showed up on time. We were pretty much impressed and a week later gave them another half day job upstairs at our place again. Another thing worth mentioning is that Sergey helped us with removing and installing all the appliances as well and didn't charge us at all which we thought was unfair due to two reasons: 1) we didn't get a single quote (out of 30+) who didn't quoted us a price for it; 2) the job was not easy and was time consuming (made us realize why everyone was quoting a price for it). Therefore, we added that cost in SGK's quotation (SGK never asked us to though but, they deserved it). On a side note, I did try lifting the refrigerator with the straps they brought and used. It was damn heavy as hell. I couldn't even lift it an inch. I will not even blink recommending SGK Floors for any hard floor job. Good job guys and keep it up! read more

These guys are easy to work with and thorough with their job. I really like how they have handled the transitions from tiles to the hardwood at my home. In the beginning I was worried that the new floor might make the old tiles look awkward, but our worries were put to rest. So far the floors are holding up nice and so cracks or squeaks yet. I so looked forward to meeting Sergey based on his previous stellar reviews and getting a quote about what to do with my water damaged laminate flooring. He did answer my initial call right away and set up an appt. for an estimate the next evening (Tuesday). The day of the appt. he text me something came can we reschedule for Thursday evening. Sure no problem just let me know what time as I have a tenant in that condo. No response. Come Thursday I text him again to notify my tenant when he's on the way so someone will be there. So I did that. I even gave him more time because he asked if he could come later because he was super busy. I even referred him more business during this time. So come February this year he finally has some time, he shows up and says that he doesn't have enough time this visit to fix everything. No problem. He says he will be back the next week to finish everything. From that moment on he ghosted me, never once responded to texts, calls or emails. All the while still doing business and getting reviews on here for a job well done. Without hesitation I would absolutely recommend Sergey! I contacted several companies for quotes. Sergey was the most responsive and continued to follow up even after the job was completed. He was flexible and able to work with my schedule. He started earlier in the morning and a few days earlier than originally planned to meet our needs. He is a really hard worker and wants to get the job done right and to his customer's satisfaction. We removed tile and carpet and replaced with LVP, and had furniture and appliances that needed to be moved. Other companies said how much work it was going to be and also charged a lot for moving furniture and appliances. Sergey said no problem, and didn't charge much extra for moving everything in my opinion. They finished the job earlier than other companies' estimates. His overall price was also very reasonable, considerably lower than my other quotes. Initially I was unsure about how the quality of work would be because of the price difference, but now that the job is complete we are more than satisfied with his work and so glad we went with him! read more
