I am a blue collar worker myself so it's very sad to see someone like this. He sends different people to work that don't even speak English. Paint drips and smears everywhere. Takes the outlet and switch covers off but leaves the 7 layers of old paint around the edges. Frankie disappeared for 5 days and also did one of 3 floors by the time he said he would do for everything. He has costed me thousands and now I have to hire someone else to finish the job because he disappeared again for another week. Please do not use this guys service. You will not be happy. The other painters I brought in for estimates were laughing at his work. Do not waste your time and money! The pictures I am adding is from the complete floor of this company. They didn't even remove the bars from the blinds from 1960. Guy talks a big game but doesn't back any of it up.

The definition of quality work is what Frankie and his crew deliver. We live in a penthouse on the Upper West Side and Frankie and his team did an amazing job! We have so many cut outs and 3 different heights of ceilings. Frankie did an amazing job and I would recommend him and his team to ANYONE who is looking to have great work done. His pricing is nothing more than fair - but the quality is incredible. Everything is painted by hand, not wasting time taping anything, our layout is extremely challenging and he did better than I would have expected (even myself). I am a self-professed type A, perfectionist and seldom happy with other people's work because I could probably do it better myself - that is not the case when it comes to Frankie. As genuine and honest as can be, a consummate professional, he truly cares about his clients and their happiness. I would recommend Independence Painting to anyone and everyone. You will NOT be disappointed!

They were professional and they covered well a wide variety of trades - either direct or subcontract. They assumed overall responsibilities for the project and organized the documentation submital for permits, as well as the progress and final inspections. They were flexible and helped us - in a fair manner - with additions to the original scope of work. We are planning to use their services again in the future, and also we can recommend them anytime to our friends.

The original timeline of 3 weeks ended up being close to 6...and the job still isn't done (they disappeared after receiving final payment.) The owner of the company was rarely on-site to work or to supervise. When he did show up it was always hours later than promised. Many serious (and stupid) mistakes were made during the renovation process. They were corrected in the end, but not without ramifications (e.g. a hole in our OTHER bathroom and a leak in our roof.) Get It Done Home Improvements promised to secure all permits and arrange inspections, as is standard. Neither was done. And when we questioned him, he lied to us. Overall the work was sloppy, rushed and not completed as promised. And now we have to hire another contractor to finish the job.

I called Quality, and he said, no problem. Within an hour or two I had a new dishwasher installed within my old cabinets. It looks like it was made to go there. Frank & his team were prompt, polite, professional, personable, & beyond reasonably priced. I did all the packing but needed help loading a U-Haul U-Box container to be shipped long distance. I had an above average amount of stuff for a 1BR move & booked them about a month in advance which I'm glad I did due to high demand in the pandemic. They picked up the box from the U-Haul facility, brought it to me on a trailer, loaded & returned it when it was done. We faced 95+ degree heat & a couple pop up rainstorms that they handled with ease. Frank is a logistics master & it was no small feat making all my things fit into that box. He helped me reinforce the boxes that needed it, wrapped my furniture, & handled everything with care. I'm relieved that it all worked out so smoothly in such a high-stress time & absolutely could not have done it without these guys. Would recommend their service to anyone looking to move in or out of the NYC area.

Frank (owner) came to the apartment the night before the move to wrap all of the furniture. He was professional and easy to talk to. Movers (Mike and Maurice) arrived on time the next morning. They were respectful of the furniture/boxes/bags and moved everything with care. They went the extra mile to make sure the move was easy for me. I moved from an elevator building to a 2nd floor walk up. To help keep the process smooth I happily watched the moving truck so it didn't get a ticket, made sure the elevator (during move out) was waiting for them, helped with the small bags/boxes and (during move in) unwrapped furniture and folded the moving blankets. I couldn't not help with all the work and effort they were putting in to the move. It made a big difference. Everything arrived and nothing was damaged. Note: Tip well and provide movers with drinks and food/snacks. It goes a long way!!
